Three things which will make a difference in Your trading Results.

A thread-

 1. Clarity- When the mind is free from fear and ego

The first step to successful trading is to be clear about everything you do.

BUT, the reality is that most traders don't even know what they are doing.

And because of this-
They don't have any goals.
They don't have any Trading plan
They don't know what is suitable for them
And the list goes, on and on.

If you are among the people as described above, don't worry, There is nothing wrong with you, almost 90% of Traders are like that.
So, what do you have to do to get CLARITY in your Trading-

Find one style that is suitable to your personality and double down on it.

Why?
In this world where we have plethora of information just one click away, most people are distracted and see a Glowy thing every time they go over the social media.

They Find something new every now and then, jumping from one strategy to another, searching for Holy grail.
The truth is there is in this not so perfect world, there is no Holy grail, Until you do not accept it from the heart, mind you can not go ahead.

So, FIND ONE THING, AND WORK ON THAT TILL IT STARTS WORKING FOR YOU.
Select one style , either scalping, Algo trading, Short term trading, Long term investing, whatever you like just select one.

And Trust me, in your way, there will be times where other trading systems will look Fascinating to you, but my friend those who do not fall in that trap
of a “monkey mind” will win the game and the one who keeps jumping will lose.

When you know you have only one style, you will become a master of that style with time.

And this has worked for me till now, when i did the above i found all my answers.
I made a trading plan after I knew that I wanted to become a short term trader.

I found all rules, Experiences, Just because I selected to do only 1 thing at a time and master it.
2. “Mind is an atomic bomb”-

One thought can lead to another thought and the new one can lead to another one.
Most traders spend their time scrolling on social media, Looking at others P&L screenshots, ideas, Achievements, Trade tips, etc.

We love to know what the big traders have to say about something.

“This is Number 1 Reason most traders are unsuccessful in trading”
You heard it right, Most people will be better off without others advice, screenshots.

Why?

Let's look at an example-

A trader named Rahul is an intraday trader and has a good plan to follow.

He gets a setup in Nifty to buy above 15000 with sl at 14950.
He buys Nifty at the desired levels and sits and relax, just to check twitter.

He saw that a big trader has just posted that “ NIFTY IS GOING TO FALL LIKE A HOUSE OF CARDS ”

Rahul is in panic mode, his heart beat just got faster cause that big trader predictions never go wrong
He is worried about his position, don’t know if he can continue holding that position.

He exited nifty at market order at cost, phew i just saved my ass not going against the BIG BEAR - Rahul says.

Nifty closes about 500p up that day.
Rahul is so angry because he was right, his setup was right but because he listened to someone else advice and ruined his Profitable day.

This can further lead to more negative events, next day, but I think you may have got the point.
Its that use social media to LEARN but not that it can change your DECISIONS.

You should be the pilot of your Plane either it reaches the destination or crashes down.

Even if you don't succeed At Least you would be happy that you took the chance.
3. Risk Management Will Save You At Every Point

As a beginner you will make a lot of mistakes, A lot of screw-ups but as my friend @KillerTrader_ used to say, don't screw up-to an extent that you can't unscrew.

How to not Screw too much as a beginner -
The Best possible thing is to Risk less per trade, because even otherwise you are going to make losses, best is to keep them super small.

Do all kinds of things you want to, but keep the bet small.
What most people focus on is Money ---- which leads to -----Greed----which leads to ----- Losses---- which leads to ---
Fear----which leads to ----- You don't have courage to put the next trade.
So get the Money part out of your mind, and for the initial years focus to Hone your skills and Risk as less as you can.
By doing this you will have “experience + Money in your pocket.”

Whereas most other traders will only have Experience.

If you get to even save what you have for the next 2 years, consider yourself Good.

How position sizing can affect your trading performance-

Assuming that you are trading a Trend-following system with Big RR and low win-rate.

For example, assume that you risk one percent per trade on a 100,000 account
and you have 20 straight losses.

That one percent is of your remaining equity and at the end of 20 losses, you would be down to 81,790.60.

Now if you got a 30R winner and you are risking one percent of your balance of 81,790.60, your new equity would be 106,327.9,


You’ve had 20 losses and one winner though you are still up 10Rplus your equity is up by 6.3R percent.

Now, let’s say you risk five percent per trade on your balance. At the end of 20 straight losses, you would be down to 35,772.89 or down 64 percent.


If you risk five percent on this amount and get a 30R winner, you would be up to 89,621.48. You are up 10R, but because of your position sizing, your equity is still down over 10 percent.

Life is a continuous journey of going through peaks and troughs of Happiness and struggle.

We can only see the Happy part of other lives, but ignore what they might have gone through to achieve that.


But let me tell you, even if someone is at ease right now, doesn't mean that he will continue to be at ease for their whole life.

The struggle will come again and we will have to go through it ,whatever we do, whoever we are , we have to cross that river of pain.

Even,In trading there are times when nothing works out, you go through long time and money draw-downs.

Even if you think you are a master, you have to go through it.

If you are struggling right now, don't lose hope as the tables will turn.

But remember to work as hard as you can and do as much good work as you can in your ease or Joyful time of life, because the tables will turn again.

Objectivity- Undistorted by emotions or personal bias.

What is objective Trading?

Trading in which decisions are taken on pre-decide rules, decisions in objective trading are not decided by Feelings or opinions.


What is subjective trading?

It is discretionary trading, in which one uses his intuitions and Analysis to take trading decisions.

Is one superior to other?

The rules in a mechanical system are going to be decided by you, the plan is going to be made by you,

the positions sizing and all other aspects are going to be made by you.

So your psychology is going to filter the information coming towards you, even in a mechanical system as well as in discretion.

WHATS THE USE OF OBJECTIVITY-

I am a Discretionary - Rule based trader.


So, I take trades based on my analysis, my entries are discretion based, but the exits , position sizing and Risk management rules are pre decided.

WHY USE SUBJECTIVE TRADING?

The biggest benefit that objective trading do is that it makes the chances of you thinking less during the time of taking an execution decision.

As a beginner trader you will not have much experience, and you will inevitably do a lot of mistakes.

What is Analysis paralysis?

In simple terms, analysis paralysis is a person's tendency to over-analyze or over-think upon a decision to such an extent that he/she fails to make a choice resulting in a paralyzed state of inaction.


How a retail trader trades-

A trader named Rahul, He know all the basics of markets, He also has made a system which gives signals on nifty, he has also encorporated good Risk management and Position sizing into his system.

One day he gets a signal to buy Nifty at 13500 with stop at 13450, he wanted to take the trade, but he wanted to get sure that the trade he has take should be a winner.

So he says just let me check the RSI if its above this level I will buy , he checks it and it was above his

level, then again he wants to check another indicator named MACD, he wanted to get sure man, Now he do the most intelligent thing to get sure he gets right.

He goes to twitter and ask his twitter Friend Trader knight he ask him that should I buy nifty at 13500,

1. Make a Pvt Ltd Company.

Form a company with family members and trade under it. The family members should be directors of the company. Will explain why later.

Why form a company?
You will only need to pay 25% flat tax. Individuals have to pay 30% tax above 10 lakh profits.

2. Surcharge Benefits:

You will be charged a lower surcharge in a corporate account.

Total Tax Outlay:

The total tax outlay for individuals is 30% plus surcharge. If you really earn a lot (10 cr +) then you will be paying 42% tax.

Whereas in a company you'll be paying a maximum of 28% tax.

This is how rich people save a lot of their money by paying low taxes.

3. Expenses can be deducted.

All expenses can be deducted from a company account.

Companies:
1. First make a profit.
2. then deduct the expenses
3. & Pay tax on the remaining income

Individuals:
1. First Profit
2. Then Pay tax

Trump on climate: I don't believe it. Trump on Khashoggi: I don't believe it. Trump on Russia: I don't believe it. Idiocy? A canny game? Doesn't really matter as much as the underlying intellectual autocracy. In this administration only one opinion matters.

It's an assault on facts and reason. It's an assault on good governance. It's an assault on the bureaucracies that are being discounted. It's an assault on science and history. But it is also an assault on one of the underpinnings of democracy.

We live in a system that is grounded on the idea of collaborative government. Leaders may have a final word but even then, there are typically checks and balances. Hopefully, in this case, such checks and balances may work. But they also are being tested.

The president's position that he is smarter than all the world's scientists, than the entire intelligence community, than experts who have studied any issue all their lives, is, of course, asinine. But his belief that government turns solely on his opinion, is monarchic.

Louis XIV reportedly said, "L'etat est moi." That he was the state. Trump asserting that he knows better than all, discounts all advice, that his brain is enough to chart the course for America alone, is essentially saying the same thing.

Temple is known as Sabarimala of Women

Thiruvairanikulam Mahadeva Temple is situated on the banks of the Periyar River. Siva Temple has a separate sannidhi for Parvathi Devi which will be open only for 12 days a year


The Nadathurappu Mahothsavam happens every year on Malayalam month of Dhanu. On opening day, a grand procession starting from Akavoor Mana carries the ornaments of Devi to the temple. Swayamvara Archana is the main pooja here to clear the obstacle in marriages.
Legend is that 👇


Vigraham existed in another place called Iranikulam. A Namboodiri of Sreemoolanagaram used to visit the Iranikulam temple regularly. Akavoor Chathan, a boatman will take him to the Iranikulam temple and back. Because of Bhakthi of Namboodiri, Shiva traveled with him to his place.


Akavoor Chathan identified Siva chaitanyam and their family built a temple here. Parvati devi herself will cook Nevidyam here for Shiva, which was witnessed by a priest. Devi was angry at this and decided to leave the place. But when the priest offered his sincere apology👇


Devi blessed him and told that she will be present here 12 days in a year. Thus the period which begins from Thiruvathirai Day in Dhanu is known as the Nadathurappu festival.

1/ there is this sense when you are young that your accomplishments need to be a list of things that seem impressive to others. A list of several items you did.

This isn't actually right, so here is another suggestion.

2/ I remember being 26 and writing about reading 52 books a year. I wrote blog posts about it. They got copied. It became "a thing." Now it's in Twitter bios. It looks impressive but it's insanely useless and I shouldn't have done it.

3/ what I should have known at that time is that only young idiots like myself, with no accomplishments, find list of tiny achievements impressive. Anyone who has actually done anything of substance doesn't gaf

4/ what is actually difficult, and worthwhile, instead is to do ONE single thing for a very, very long time. It's much harder and much rarer and results in outlier outcomes much more often.

Of course you can find this out too late if you are chasing the dragon of Ted talks etc

5/ if I had only worked on a startup for a year, I would've gotten nowhere, the same way that if you lift for 3 months, it achieves nothing. Everything good in life comes from perseverance, but at the beginning, you're just like "I need to be somebody!!!"
