3 Simple Steps to Quickly Grow a Small Trading Account

1️⃣ Define a Repeatable Edge

A basis of any successful trading system is having an edge over a series of trades.

Without a well studied edge, you cannot succeed in the market.

Example of edges:

Trend system
* Trading during the power trend
* Trading stocks that are in uptrends
* Trading GROUPS that are in uptrends

High Volume Edges
* Highest Volume Ever (HVE)
* Highest Volume in > 1 Year (HV1)
* Highest Volume Since IPO (HVIPO)

2️⃣ Define Entry Tactics from that Edge

Once you have an edge, you need an entry tactic.

Entry tactics are repeatable and definable. You should know your entry and exit points before ever placing a trade.

Examples of entry tactics:

Trend system
🟢 Enter on two closes above a KMA
🔴 Exit on two closes below a KMA

High Volume Edge
📊 High Volume Close
📊 High Volume Support

Edges & Entry tactics have to be repeated CONSISTENTLY to reduce randomness when trading a small account.

3️⃣Position Sizing

To grow a small account quickly, one needs to position size in such a way that a big winner will grow the account sizeably.

This level of position sizing is only achieved through rigorous $STUDY of your edges and entry tactics in the market.

Examples of how to position size:

🟢The more edges and entry tactics that align, the greater the size.
🟢The fewer edges and entry tactics that align, the lower the size.

This is KEY to consistently sizing big when you have an edge over the market.

Again, position sizing boils down to confidence in your edges & entry tactics.

This confidence is built through accountability and consistent $STUDY of your system and its 🔑 components.

How to identify the next Market Leaders (Thread)

After a basing/corrective period in the market, new merchandise will start to emerge and show itself as the market is setting up for another uptrend.

Some leaders from the previous run may continue their moves, but often it's the new leaders which will provide the most alpha.

So keep an open mind and search for the stocks that are standing out from the crowd with the strongest combination of superior price + volume action and fundamentals.

Here is how to find these next leaders:

First, market leaders by definition lead the market. They will often be making new price and relative strength highs as the market starts moving up from a potential bottom.

Keep an eye on Relative Strength Lines especially. A Relative Strength New High Before Price is a key Leadership Blueprint. For instance, $TSLA showed this characteristic before advancing 350% in 2020

The RS Line is calculated by the Price of the stock/ SPX

The goal is to identify if the wind is at our backs.

You should note whether there has been a recent cluster of accumulation/distribution, where price is with respect to the KMAs, & the index's relationship to the highs.

What is an Optimal Buy Point? (thread)

Your results as a trader/investor boil down to three statistics

Average Gain - Average % gain on winning Trades
Average Loss -Average % gain on losing Trades
Batting Average - % of trades that are gains

Like in baseball, you can find incredible success in the stock market winning only a handful of times out of ten. In fact a system that is profitable or break even with only a 30-50% BA is more robust and consistent

To establish such as system you need to manage the risk reward relationship (Average gain/Average Loss) so that you can survive winning only 30% of the time.

(I promise this is getting to optimal buy points shortly)

You should shoot for at least a 2:1 gain/loss ratio. 3:1 is even better.

With a 2:1 ratio you can loss 2/3 of the time and break even. With a 3:1 ratio you can lose 75% of the time

The best way to know if people like your product is NOT:

- Have a lot of emails in the waiting list
- Become #1 on PH
- Become #1 of HN or Reddit
- Have people that saing "I'll pay"

The best way to know if they're actually pay for it.

The only thing that matters is your product providing a value, and you can't know this until people will pay money for it.

We can have a first signal of a product/market fit after the launch by check how many sales we've got in the first 24h. Some scale:

200+ This has a high potential.
100+: This has a potential.
50+: Some people need it.
10+: People almost don't need it.
0+: People don't need it.

This is for a single time payment product. For a subscription probably it should be less because people hate subscription.

And obviously, you should have a lot of traffic like 3-5k+.
