It is important to be clear about the skills you want to learn from undertaking your choice course.

Visit the course page on the university website and look at the modules offered under your prospective course and highlight the significance of those courses to your career path
Is there any linkage with a course you have done academically or professionally?

Another point to consider here is the quality of academics within your proposed department.

Look up the achievements of the academics.
Has any of them done something that resonates with your career? Show the linkage and state the envisaged learning you could draw from them.

Additionally, does the department have any achievements?
Show this in your SOP too.

Mention the skills you expect to learn from the course. Also mention how you will contribute to the department using the skills you have garnered over the years.
You can demonstrate this by researching if there are some research or volunteering groups within the department that need the kind of skills you have. All these will show coherence from Q1 โ€“ Q4.
5. WHY HAVE YOU CHOSEN THE UNIVERSITY?

In stating why you have decided to undertake a course, it is also critical that you note why you have chosen a particular institution.

Is it because that is the only university offering your chosen course? State this clearly.
In some cases, your chosen course could be offered across different universities.

Some things you can highlight here include the world ranking of the school. A reliable ranking to refer to is the QS World Ranking (https://t.co/ecotdoAEw0).
Also look at the "ranking by courses" or perhaps those which highlight student satisfaction, international student experiences, employability prospects etc.

Similar to the point in Q4, research about student groups or activities you can contribute to during your studies.
This also proves that you have the capacity to contribute to the growth of the school. What skills will you learn? Mention these too.
6. WHAT ARE YOUR POST-STUDY PLANS?

The significance of knowledge is so that it is applied and used for positive impact.

As part of the concluding paragraphs of your SOP, you will need to explain what you will do with the skills gained after your studies
If you are applying for a masterโ€™s degree, you might have future plans of doing a PhD, state this. If you have a research topic in mind. This is also a good place to mention it.
Are you intending to return to a previous job/country? What will you do now with the new skills that you could not do as a result of limited knowledge? State this clearly.

This will show the connection between the points you highlighted from Q1-Q5.
NOTE: You can address the questions in different paragraphs. Some SOPs will require a word count, when you are given a word count, MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT EXCEED IT (sorry I was shouting at you๐Ÿ˜„, I just needed you to get the message).
When you are not given a word count, write succinctly but elaborately so that it conveys all the points highlighted from Q1 โ€“ Q6.

As a scholar who has researched and written quite a bit about the Anabaptists, can we set a few things straight?

1. Baptists are not Anabaptists. Their history is theirs; ours is ours. We have similarities, but we are not them. We honor them by not using them for our purposes.

2. Not all Anabaptists were in Mรผnster, and many if not most Anabaptists at the time were just as appalled as we are by the Mรผnsterites. So please drop the tropes equating all Anabaptists with Mรผnster. Informed and honest scholars are known by their right retelling of history.

3. The same truth applies to the other types of Reformation Radicals. There is a great difference between those who have become known as Evangelical Anabaptists on the one hand and Spiritualists, Rationalists, etc. on the other hand. Respect them as you also wish to be respected.

4. Yes, there were Anabaptists who toyed with various heresies, including Arianism, Socinianism, and Celestial Flesh Christology. But there were also many Anabaptists who affirmed, commented upon, and used the traditional Apostlesโ€™ Creed, Nicene Creed, and Athanasian Creed.

And if you want to do the honest research, you can also find a few heretical Roman Catholic Popes and more than a few heretical Anglicans, Presbyterians, Lutherans. and whomever else you want to talk about. Good historical theology doesnโ€™t play favorites; it speaks the truth.

Planning for Overlord and Neptune had a serious snag, how to get troops from LSTs onto the beach as simply ramming them onto the beaches and dropping the ramp was known to damage the exceptionally vulnerable LSTs and felt to be unsustainable in the mid to long term. /2


LSTs were essential in sustaining Overlord's progress and were a subject of major headaches in the planning phase, and a real subject of friction when it came to launching additional amphibious operations such as Dragoon.

So, logic dictated, we don't really want these remarkable but rare and highly valuable vessels constantly doing beach landings, we want something to act as a medium between ship to shore, and in came the (mostly) American designed Rhino. /4

Hey, for people interested in this stuff, here's a thread about a change we made to running our facebook account:

So, about 5 years ago, we got on facebook. Why? Well, facebook has a big audience and they like to consume on facebook. So, we started posting comics there, even though we got paid nothing and facebook made money off the free content.

Why? Because back then, once in a while, you would say "also hey, I sell books" or "hey, I'm going to be signing at this event" and your facebook followers would actually see it.

Effectively, the implicit old arrangement was "facebook lets me reach readers efficiently, and I supply facebook with free content they run ads on."

Over time, like a bad business partner, facebook basically made it impossible to reach your audience without *paying them*. Thus, you supply them free content on which they run ads, and you get nothing in exchange.

This practice has continued till date.
The mukhya mandap here, has a pillar kappam stambham believed to possess curative powers.


Chandanotsava/ Chandan Yatra is the most important festival celebrated on Akshaya Tritiya. The sandalwood paste is removed from the moolavar deity and nijarupa darshan (original form of deity) for twelve hours of the day are done by devotees.
