 Ink - Ink made from various materials was first invented in India. This black pigment was used in writing manuscripts in ancient India. India ink was made by burning tar, pitch, bones. Carbon was the primary pigment of India ink.
Crucible steel-

High quality steel was produced in South India since ancient times. The tech used to manufacture it was later on called the crucible technique. wrought iron 1st put with glass and charcoal in a container and was heated till the metal melted and absorbed carbon
Dock-
India was the first nation to have a dock that dated back to 2400BCE. People belonging to the Harappa Civilization were the first to build a dock in Lothal. This proves their immense understanding of oceanology and marine engineering.
Diamonds-

Diamonds were first mined in India. Huge deposits of diamonds were found in Central India and it gradually developed as a precious stone. India till 18th century was the only country where diamonds were found and were later on exported to other countries.
Medical treatments--
Leprosy was first noticed by Indians and various ancient remedies are also mentioned in the Atharva Veda. Lithiasis treatment or the treatment for eradicating stones was first introduced in India.
Small Pox vaccinations were 1st cured in India and symptoms and ways of immunization against small pox were mentioned in 8th century by Madhav.Ayurveda and Siddha are the two primitive methods of treatment that originated in India and are still used as an alternate way of Treat
Surgery-

Cataract surgery and plastic surgery were also first performed by the ancient physician Sushruta. These surgeries dated back to 2000BCE and his work were later translated to Arabic language and gradually passed on to European countries.
Natural fibers

wool, cotton originated from India. Evidences show that people of the Indus Valley used cotton and India pioneered the art of cotton spinning and used it in making fabric. Jute, a plant fiber, was cultivated in India since ancient times.

Learn your history books and remember the trio of Maa kuyili,Udaiyal and the queen Velu Nachiyar,
These 3 showed what is called patriotism and how a lady can defeat the army of britishers and Nawabs.

Queen Velu Nachiyar the first female freedom fighter against British Empire, Udaiyal who sacrificed her life to protect her queen and Kuyili who burnt herself to detonate the British weaponry should have been the Symbol of Gallantry and Sacrifice of Indian freedom Movement.

It was Kalaiyar Koil war in 1772, when her Husband King Muthuvaduganatha Udaiya Thevar martyred against the British and Nawab of Arcot. A personal tragedy, loss of Kingdom, tactical escape from the Sivaganagi and her depleted column of army, yet she remained unnerved.


Velu Nachiyar and Vellachi Escaped British, Kalaiyar Koil war in 1772 against British saw the loss and martyrdom of King Muthuvaduganatha Udaiya Thevar. She was informed about this tragedy while she was camping at Kollangudi.

असम के बारंगबाड़ी में जन्मीं वीरांगना की पारिवारिक स्थिति ये थी कि मात्र 5 वर्ष की अवस्था में मां का देहान्त हो गया अगले ही वर्ष सौतेली मां का भी देहावसान हो गया लेकिन वीर चुनौतियों से डिगते नहीं अपितु चुनौतियों का हंसकर सामना करते हैं चूंकि नाम ही वीरबाला था यथा नाम तथा गुण।

सात वर्ष की अवस्था मेॆ कवि ज्योति प्रसाद अग्रवाल के गीतों ने राष्ट्रभक्ति की अलख जगा दी वीरबाला के हृदय में,
मात्र 17 वर्ष में नेताजी की आजाद हिन्द फौज में शामिल होने की याचिका दी इन्होंने परन्तु वो याचिका निरस्त हो गयी क्योंकि कहा गया कि आप अभी नाबालिग हैं लेकिन वो रूकी नहीं।

फिर वो स्वयंसेवकों के आत्मघाती दल मृत्यु वाहिनी में शामिल हो गयीं उस समय भारत छोड़ो आन्दोलन चल रहा था दिनांक 20 सितम्बर 1942 को इनकी योजना थी कि गोहपुर थाने पर भारतीय झंडा फहरायेंगी व दादा को ये वादा किया कि जैसे अहोम वंश देश के लिये लड़ा वैसे ही वो देश के लिये लड़ेंगी।

वीरबाला स्वयं उस दल का नेतृत्व कर रहीं थीं हाथों में तिरंगा लिये बढती जा रहीं थीं थानेदार ने इनको रोका, इन्होंने कहा कि हम आपसे कोई हिंसक संघर्ष नहीं चाहते हम केवल झंडा फहराना चाहते एवम् राष्ट्रभक्ति की अलख जगाना चाहते परन्तु थानेदार नहीं माना और गोली चलाने की चेतावनी दी

पहला पड़ाव था सिंगरौर जो कि प्रयाग राज से 35 किमी का दूरी पर है यहीं पर केवट प्रसंग हुआ था यह नगर गंगा घाटी के तट पर स्थित है यहीं पर श्री राम जी ने मां सीता के साथ गंगा मां की वन्दना की थी।


यात्रा का दूसरा पड़ाव था कुरई जहां प्रभु सिंगरौर से गंगा पार करने के पश्चात् उतरे थे यहां
प्रभु ने लक्ष्मण जी एवम् मां सीता के साथ विश्राम किया था।


तीसरा स्थान है प्रयाग जिसको किसी कालखंड में इलाहाबाद कहा जाता था तीर्थों के राजा प्रयागराज को ही माना जाता है क्योॆकि यहां वैतरिणी मां गंगा एवम् गंगा नदी की मुख्य सहायक नदी यमुना जी का मां सरस्वती के साथ संगम होता है।

SRI MOOKAMBIKA DEVI, KOLLUR (KAR)

There was an Asura, Kaumasura, who was doing penance to please Shiva and get a boon. To prevent him from asking for a boon, Devi Saraswati made him dumb (hence called Mookasur)
Later, Adi Parashakti slayed him and came to be called Mookambika.


It is said that Adi Shankaracharya had a vision in which Devi agreed to follow him provided he did not look back. He kept walking and was assured of her presence due to the sound of anklets. When he reached here in Kollur, he turned back as the sound of anklets had stopped.


So Devi stayed here and merged with the lingam. The place came to be called Mookambika Kshetram.
The linga has integrated on it’s left side MahaKali, Maha Lakshmi and Maha Saraswathi and on the right side- Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.


A swarna rekha (gold line) divides this linga into left and right portion. Adi Shakthi in this Udhbhavlinga form appears only here.
Devi sits in padmasana and has 4 hands.
Adi Shankaracharya installed the Sri Chakra in front of Devi and also composed the Soundarya Lahiri here.

I worked in bank liquidity and treasury for the better part of the last decade, and there is one very interesting risk factor from the SVB collapse that I do not think we have ever witnessed before in modern finance, a 🧵:

First, some context. Following the 2008 financial crisis where a massive driver of stress was caused by low quality assets littering the balance sheets of massive institutions, the regulators sought to create a framework to ensure all banks were verifiably sound.

This meant forcing Federally registered banks to conform to capital and liquidity ratios. If they did not comply, they would not be allowed to issue dividends or buy back stocks, hurting the value of their enterprise.

There was the introduction of the concept of RWA, or risk weighted assets. A simple way to think of these ratios is, the riskier your asset base on a weighted basis, the more high quality capital (think cash) you would need to hold to stay in compliance.

Not only were banks required to regularly be in compliance with these ratios as a going concern, but needed to prove they could maintain certain limits when met with a time of stress across a number of incrementally adverse scenarios.

How did I go from a busily scheduled life to one with substantial unstructured time?

1/ More creating, less consuming

I stopped obsessive mindless scrolling and started creating. Instagram for artworks. Twitter for thoughts. Unsubscribed from other apps. Saved a LOT of time.

2/ More deep focus, less context switching

I loved to be involved in many projects, but didn’t take into account the cost of making the mind switch between works. I decided to choose one important project and pour all of me into it.

3/ “It’s either hell yeah, or no”

I dropped projects that didn’t make me feel all fervent. I ruthlessly purged the guilt and FOMO. It was hella scary and uncomfortable at first, but was liberating over time. Knowing your why is the key.

4/ More focus on health and people

I was generous with time when it was for my health and people. I exercised, did yoga, went on for walks, and slept whenever I wanted. Same way, I didn’t look at the clock when I was with people. I resolved to be there and only there.

5/ Less worrying about saying no

Well, this was perhaps the toughest one for me. I was so used to being involved in many projects, that retracting myself from them was almost impossible. It was SO painful. Yet, I trusted it would be a wise choice long term and bore the pain.

Ma Kanakadurgeswari is the supreme Goddess of Andhra Pradesh, seated atop the Indrakilaparvatha at Vijayawada.
This area is called Bezawada as Shiva made a bejjam (hole) in the rocks so that Krishna river could flow freely.


Once, a Rishi Indra Keela prayed to Devi and asked her to reside on his head forever. Devi told him to wait in the form of a mountain in the holy plains of River Krishna.
Later, when Devi killed all demons, she settled on Keeladri as Mahishasura Mardini and fulfilled his wish.


In this place, Arjuna performed penance and fought with Shiva, who had appeared in the guise of Kiratha to win Pasupathastra, the most powerful weapon. So this place is also called phalguna theertha and Vijaywada on account of Arjun’s victory.


Adi Sankaracharya visited this shrine and worshipped the Devi. He installed SRICHAKRAM at the feet of Sri Kanaka Durga.

Adjacent to the Kanakadurga shrine is the shrine of the divine consort-Sri Malleswara Swamy on the Indrakeeladri.

(THREAD) The Whitaker scandal is deepening, as it becomes clear that Sessions' Russia recusal was a coordinated sham and his firing an act of obstruction—and that his replacement is a White House plant inside the Mueller probe. I hope you'll retweet and read on for more details.


1/ From 2014-17 Whitaker worked for World Patent Marketing—which during his tenure defrauded consumers out of $26 million and was successfully prosecuted by the feds. His involvement in the scam confirmed he had loose morals and that the feds would never want to employ him again.

2/ Despite the seeming impossibility of a man with Whitaker's background getting a job at Justice ever again—he'd been found to have used his former title as a US attorney to fraudulently threaten consumers with valid complaints with criminal penalties—Whitaker found an opening.

3/ Within 60 days of parachuting out of World Patent Marketing as it was being fined $26 million by the feds, Whitaker was working for CNN and telling a fellow attorney panelist that his purpose in working for CNN was to get noticed by one man—Donald Trump—and thereby get a job.

4/ Whitaker spent his time at CNN making ludicrous statements about the Mueller probe: there was no obstruction or collusion, he said; Mueller had no authority to look into any aspect of Trump's finances or to subpoena him, he said. All the while, he hoped Trump was watching him.
