In fairness to Lance, the government has absolutely failed to modernise and upscale customs and border systems - and he is right to be outraged, but either way, he will still experience the full array of third country controls - all of which are a consequence of leaving the EEA.

But by the same token, the Brexit Party was at every point in the process demanding a walkout - which would have landed him with disruption worse than at present with tariffs that would have killed exports anyway.

At best, though, even if those "teething troubles" are resolved, food produce is still looking at an inspection rate of 20%, all at random, the the SPS paperwork, along with finding a responsible importer is a fixed feature of being outside the single market.

could and should have known this. It was in the Notices to Stakeholders. Moreover, he had the research facilities of the European Parliament at his disposal which he could have used for the benefit of his entire industry. So what was he doing with his time there?

None of what is happening at the border comes as any surprise to us because well in advance of the referendum we produced a plan, looking at the consequences of each option. The Brexit Party, despite its massive resources, elected not to do this kind of groundwork.

So since President Joe Biden has campaigned on, and his message yesterday was, a message of

UNITY and HEALING,

let’s “unify”. Here’s THE point of departure: Let go of the vindictive desire to
I read up on the last several men the federal government rushed to put to death this past month.

Sister Helen is 100% right. None of the defendants would have come anywhere near a death penalty had they had money and privilege.

Take the person executed last night: Dustin Higgs.

Higgs, another man and a woman were involved in the murder of two people. The trio had picked the victims up and taken them to a desolate area where they were shot.

2/

The reasons for the shooting were unclear. To make their case, prosecutors offered a deal to Higgs’ two associates: testify that Higgs had orchestrated the killing and they would be charged with lesser offenses.

So, the two did.

3/

The man testified that he had actually been the shooter and had murdered the two women - but had been told to do so by Higgs.

The actual murderer avoided the death penalty. The other associate got a lighter sentence.

4/

I entirely 1,000% believe that prosecutors would have never even pursued the death penalty had Higgs had intimidating counsel.

Epstein got a walk for a boatload of crimes, in part, because prosecutors were intimidated of the fight they’d face.

When Presidents propose a bill or plan, congress still has to draft and pass the bill in full, bc it includes more than just "issue this check."
So ask your congressional rep where your checks are, because it's on congress to get it through.

Biden did sign an executive order last week to push the treasury to expedite delivery of the initial $600 payment that was already approved in December, because a lot of eligible folks still haven't received it, even though the deadline for disbursement was Jan 15th.

Y'all wanna hold Biden to his promises this term, hold your folks in house and senate to theirs, because it's their job to negotiate plans and bills and pass them. Not everything can be done through executive order. Biden's ability to do what he says is reliant on them.

The proposed American Rescue Plan hasn't even been approved by congress yet - they couldn't start work on drafting the bill before he was sworn in, but *they* are the next step to your money.

Yes, that exact congress (senate may be 50/50 but Dems are in control and Harris has the tie-breaking vote), because they couldn't start work on this until Biden officially took office.

Re: Your ABSENCE is required

Dear Republicans,

Do NOT legitimize the sham of @JoeBiden by attending on Jan. 20.

All voters were disenfranchised by his election fraud.

To those who CERTIFIED this FRAUD: Shame on you!
