From my findings, i discovered that, Gov @elrufai has continuously used KASUPDA. (Kaduna State Urban Planning And Development Agency) to target the properties of his political opponents in Kaduna state. He targets christian owned businesses. Especially the ones in southern Kaduna

Just like Asher Kings & Queens restaurant was demolished on flimsy excuse, KASUPDA has in the last one year demolished 4 flourishing hospitality businesses in Southern Kaduna alone. Under the leadership of DG, Isma'i Umaru Dikko.

In may 2020, Gov @elrufai used KASUPDA, to demolish a popular Pub, located at Command junction, in Southern Kaduna. GM CAR PARK AND RELAXATION CENTRE, on flimsy excuse. But after investigation, i discovered that the owner is Igbo (Emeka Ugwua) Christian, & friends to PDP members.

On Monday 20th July 2020, at about 5:44am, while guests were still asleep, Gov @elrufai sent in the Bulldozers of KASUPDA, into the popular GREEN APPLE HOTEL/NIGHT CLUB in Naraiyi High Cost Area of southern Kaduna.
As early as 5:30am, the hotel was sourounded by men of SARS.

Before we start, what you need to know is that there are two types of strangers:

-Those bothered by you

-Those who are willing to talk to you

In both cases, the first seconds of making contact are crucial.

Here is how you should approach both.

First thing you need to realize, is that while you're only practicing your social skills

The person in front has absolutely no interest or reason to listen to you.

This is why it is of paramount importance NOT to talk about yourself.

Make them feel comfortable.

Before we get to what you will say and how.

Let's focus on body language.

To trigger anyone's curiosity, you should convey a confident and reassuring vibe.

Your posture should be showing confidence without intimidating your interlocutor.

How can your body language express positive vibes?

- Straight back
- Wide shoulders
- Pumped chest (dont over do it)
- Genuine smile
- Stay at least a meter away from the person, you want to show interest but you want them to come to you

Political violence is always wrong and should never be tolerated from anyone. Once "protesters" threaten lives and property, their grievances and ideology should become absolutely irrelevant to the situation.

That is, obviously, not the country we live in.

Long ago, we had an attitude of zero tolerance for terrorism, "we do not negotiate with terrorists," etc. One reason for this was the implicit understanding that negotiating with terrorism legitimizes it. Violence becomes an instrument of politics.

Some of us warned all last year that treating violence as acceptable, even laudable, from SOME people would mainstream it and touch off an arms race. Everyone would start getting the idea that only groups with a demonstrated capacity for violence are taken seriously.

When violence becomes acceptable from one party and its clients, one ideology, it becomes an instrument of authoritarianism. That's why authoritarian regimes frequently have violent vigilante groups roaming the streets in addition to their vast security and military forces.

Iran, for example, has all sorts of heavily armed police and security forces, working for both its secular and theocratic governments, but it ALSO has ultra-violent "vigilante" groups indulged by the State whose "grievances" supposedly justify vandalism and murder.

I'm now going to ad-lib my long-threatened thread about Mission: Impossible and my single favourite sequence in motion pictures (take that, Red Shoes ballet sequence). Here's the film on the iPlayer right now. The sequence in question is the one in the thumbnail. Of course!

The sequence really begins with a choreographed bit of sitting-on-a-train, wherein Ethan Hunt gives a broad sketch of his plan. Essentially he says "We all have jobs to do" but what those jobs are is basically secret. Heist movies can go both ways. This one hangs on surprise.

The heist target is an IMF mainframe - they're going rogue and infiltrating their own agency. It's crucial to what the scene, and film, means at the most basic level. The institution is corrupt, our 'heroes' are pitted against it. Lots of the film is foggy but *this* is clear.

The remainder of the early train scene has one major purpose: to tell us the mission is impossible. This sequence delivers on the basic promise of the film (the whole series, arguably). The impossibility of the mission is exciting for the crew, compounding audience excitement.

Though this scene doesn't tell us what Hunt's solution is, it's crucial that it lays out the problem in a very clearly readable way. The vault's high security is hammered home. We're shown *and* told at the same time.

The first important thing to realize is that they won. They got in the Capitol, ran amok for an afternoon, took selfies and live-streamed their conquest and, after the President told them he loved them, they left.

Nothing we can do now changes the fact that they won yesterday. And we cannot effectively understand or deal with them if we don’t see this as their victory.

The second important thing that we have to understand right now is that they are violent racists. This isn’t just pro-Trump. This is some of the very same people from Charlottesville looting the Capitol.

These evil fucks brought a Confederate flag into the US Capitol and set up a gallows outside to protest the election of a Catholic Obama man and his black VP. Look at our history. Look at yesterday. You don’t even have to connect the dots. You just have to recognize the line.

Name what happened. The events of January 6, 2021 were violent and unlawful. This is not an opportunity for exploring "both sides."

Follow your students' lead. They will tell you how much or how little they want to process. Always make allowance for individuals who differ from their peers; make space for those who aren't ready to talk or those who want to continue talking.

Acknowledge this was a traumatic event. We all react differently to trauma. Individuals process in different ways, and there is no one correct way to respond; therefore, it is important to acknowledge individual reactions and feelings.

Be aware of your own reactions to events. Children of all ages take their cues from the adults around them. Staff members should seek support for themselves to process events if needed.

Accept the repentant, but don’t waste time trying to persuade the obtuse, arrogant and violent.

Remember who caved and never, ever, ever vote a Trump lackey into office again.

Make repair for the damage the party has wrought.

Extend and protect voting rights for all. Act in true democratic fashion and listen to the will of the majority.

Aggressively enact policies to disrupt white supremacist extremist activity. Disassociate from racists.

Do a deep and thorough accounting of your authoritarian, patriarchal, white supremacist history and remove from pedestals those who, covered their dehumanizing tactics under the guise of “conservatism.”

Look to your religious institutions and divorce from them any notions that the Republican Party is God’s party and that the USA is God’s favored nation.

Glean wisdom from faith communities comprised of marginalized people groups. Smash the idol of Christian Nationalism.

I've a few thoughts about Trump and how we got here, going to be a long thread

I've just finished @Mikel_Jollett excellent book Hollywood Park, can't recommend it highly enough (and his band album etc) In the book he describes growing up with a Narcissistic mother amongst other things.

When he describes how every single thing that happens was through the prism of how it effected her and how it made her feel reminded me of Trump. To start with Trump is deeply disturbed individual, he was brought up as a racist.

He's risen to power by the use of racism however I don't think that's why he's become what he is. He's exploited institutional racism to help himself feel better about himself.
I see institutional racism as a result of an exploitation of power.

The fact that some people have a genetic predisposition to higher level of pigmentation in their skin can never be a logical reason for bias. Due to the historical imbalance of power it is exploited to consolidate power and with it riches.

This morning, a lot of people thinking about The Turner Diaries, so here is some history. Turner Diaries is a novel that imagines a successful coup by white power activists who take over a homeland, then the US, then the world (1)

Several of the methods used in the book appeared in yesterday's insurrection. One is the "Day of the Rope," in which "traitors" (including members of Congress, people in interracial relationships, journalists, etc) are publicly hanged. Yesterday the mob erected a gallows (2)
