Through a law lobbied by the SGPC & #AkaliDal the @narendramodi government had disenfranchised the relatively liberal Sahajdhari Sikhs who consist mostly of Vaishya - Arora Sikhs in 2016 giving Akalis full control over the Gurudwaras, & giving rise to TRUE sikh narrative. https://t.co/WJaZjdqJDN

Udasis the monastic wing of Sikhism that was started by Guru Nanak's son Sri Chand was expelled from Gurudwaras, their murtis thrown out & declared non sikh along with Nanakpanthis & several other Sikh sects that were close to Hinduism.

If Khalistan terrorism was not anti-Hindu should explain why one after the other each & every sect in Sikhism that is similar to Hinduism was thrown out since Akali movement of 1925? Sehajdharis are latest, in 2016 to be

Why were the the 1984 riots always mentioned by leaders across political spectrum, leaders in India & abroad. But have you ever heard anyone talk about those hindus who were killed by

One of the most ancient sects of Sikhs founded by Guru Nanak's son Sri Chand the Udasis, enjoyed state patronage & support under the sikh Empire of Ranjith Singh. How did they go from there to not even being sikhs in a matter of a few decades?

Irish foreign min Simon Coveney says he is "more optimistic" about progress in the EU UK Joint Committee over implementing the Northern Ireland Protocol.

2/ Last night @rtenews reported that if a free trade deal were to be concluded, a sequence would be put in place at the end of which the UK would drop the clauses in the Internal Market Bill which breach the Protocol.

3/ This morning, the EU’s representative on the Joint Committee, which implements the Protocol, said he would be meeting his counterpart Michael Gove in Brussels today.

4/ Mr Coveney said: “There is more cause to be optimistic and positive in the context of the Joint Committee and its work in terms of implementing the Withdrawal Agreement and the Protocol on Ireland and Northern Ireland.

5/ “Maros Sefcovic and Michael Gove have made really practical progress on many of the outstanding issues that were not resolved up until a few weeks ago.
Thread: on Deleuze and Scotus Vs Aristotle and Aquinas.

In an earlier thread here:
https://t.co/wfr5uu6s23 I discussed how Deleuze got rid of the concept of species in Aristotle's system by using the category of the individual singularity to encompass all actual ontological entities.

But here we'll look at difference and repetition to take a stab at the broader category of genera.

From Somers-Hall's Book on Difference and Repetition.

"Second, Deleuze argues that while Aristotle provides an account of the determination of objects, he cannot provide an account of the constitution of objects. As we saw, properties are understood as properties of something, and the same could be said of differences.
Wonderfully refreshing
Lusk speaking about "the danger of Christians claiming privilege within the state and the persecution of Christians which that led to...
If you have a political system which gives privilege to Christians then that system have to define what a Christian is"

Paynter: "If Christians are pursuing political power, what ... they are essentially saying is that might makes right."

Lusk: 1/ "The basic problem w/a religious right is that it says that the state has been established by God to enforce law & all law has a religious basis."

Lusk: 2/ "And therefore whatever the state does must reflect a religious position. And therefore if there are diverse religious positions at work, then the inevitable result is that one will oppress the other."

Lusk: "To say we are post-Christian does not mean we are ex-Christian ... Although Christain belief is a small minority, certainly our culture, our values, our system- these are very much part of a Christian heritage and sensibility which is inherited."
