Significance of Vrindavan Dham
It's a place full of bliss & knowledge. Its impossible to describe its glory in words for a normal human being like us, but I tried my best.
As per Garg Samhita, Krishna sent to d earth 84 Kosa portion of his abode ( GAULOK),Govardhan Hill,

Yamuna river.
When demigods went to Gaulok & requested Krishna to tk birth on earth to reestablish Dharma, Krishna ordered demigods & their wives to tk birth in the family of Yadavs & he promised that hel also descend & remove earth's burden.
After hearing her husband Lord Krishna, Radharani with fear of being separated from him started weeping & trembling & told Shr Krishna that if you're gone , il not be alive in this place.
Krishna said- Dont lament, ill go with u.
Radha said- My heart cant be happy whr dere is no Vrindavan Forest, no Yamuna River, No Govardhan Hill..
Den Krishna sent to the earth 84 Kosa portion of Gaulok , Govardhan Hill & Yamuna river.
In Brahmanda Puran, it is said that all d results of visiting all d pilgrimages of within d 3 worlds can b achieved simply by touching d holy land of Mathura..

Shri Vrindavan is Supreme abode of transcendental pastimes.
Mathura & Vrindavan r intimately connected with Krishna eternally .
It is said day holy place known as Mathura is spiritually superior to Vaikuntha ( Lord Vishnu's abode) ,cos d Lord Krishna appeared dere. Superior to MathuraPuri is d transcendental forest of Vrindavan cos of
Radhakrishna Raslila pastimes & superior to Vrindavan is Govardhan Hill cos it was raised by d divine hands of Shri Krishna & was d site o his various loving pastimes, & above all d Shri Radha Kund stands supreme for its overflooded with d nectarean prema of Lord of Gokula
/Vrindavan..
Every creature of Mathura- Vrindavan is blessed & those who die dere in devotion of RadheKrishna goto Gaulok.
Vrindavan trees r eternal & blissful. They always remain busy in chanting Radhakrishna name.
Once upon a time this forest was completely covered with d trees of Tulsi/Vranda , from which it derived its name Vrindavan. It is located in Mathura district,UP & abt 11kms away from Mathura.
RadheKrishna 🙏

More from Religion

First thread of the year because I have time during MCO. As requested, a thread on the gods and spirits of Malay folk religion. Some are indigenous, some are of Indian origin, some have Islamic

Before I begin, it might be worth explaining the Malay conception of the spirit world. At its deepest level, Malay religious belief is animist. All living beings and even certain objects are said to have a soul. Natural phenomena are either controlled by or personified as spirits

Although these beings had to be respected, not all of them were powerful enough to be considered gods. Offerings would be made to the spirits that had greater influence on human life. Spells and incantations would invoke their

Two known examples of such elemental spirits that had god-like status are Raja Angin (king of the wind) and Mambang Tali Arus (spirit of river currents). There were undoubtedly many more which have been lost to time

Contact with ancient India brought the influence of Hinduism and Buddhism to SEA. What we now call Hinduism similarly developed in India out of native animism and the more formal Vedic tradition. This can be seen in the multitude of sacred animals and location-specific Hindu gods
