Now that Evangelicals have lost their most important political figure since, well Ronald Reagan (we may dispute on this but I'm going with Reagan) What Now? How should we write about them?

First off, let me state the obvious. Evangelicals supported a white supremacist president because they support White Supremacy. The theologies and practices are racist, and while you may say not all evangelicals are racists.....

I spent a year writing about about Evangelical Racism from the 19th to the 20th century. Let me assure you, this is not the History that NOLL, MARSDEN, KIDD or any of the rest of the old guard who created that history wanted to admit.,

There is no war within Evangelicalism.The war that Evangelicals have waged has been against morality that they claimed to have, and yet embraced a Pussy grabbing, child separating, racist hate monger who was the epitome of Jefferson Davis and every white supremacist.

Evangelicals have been very clear from their repudiation of Cruz, Rubio, and every other candidate who claimed to be evangelical in the 2016 election cycle that Trump was THE ONE.

Now that some of their ilk went to the capitol two weeks ago and spread feces, urinated, prayed in the Senate chamber, and erected a cross and a hanging scaffold, they want to back out. ON NO YOU DON'T. You are a stench in our nostrils, and in God's (scripture)

There is no spinning away from the tight, lurid embrace of Evangelicals with Donald Trump. None. Don't use that lame ass excuse "not all evangelicals" . OH no. This is all ya'll. You signed up for the white supremacists, because that's what you've preached.

Let me quote the thesis of my book, from my book. Simply put, "Racism is a feature, not a bug, of American evangelicalism."

Evangelical racism is why they embraced Donald Trump. This was a transactional relationship that was predicated on racism.American Evangelicals have never wanted to admit tis fact. Morality, and their pleas for it, is what hides the rotten foundation.

So when you have a President that they vote 81% for in 2016, and barely lose those percentage points in 2020, and they are fine with separating children from their parents, fine with "when the looting starts, the shooting starts....

Fine with a president who has desecrated the very things they have lied and said that they loved, the constitution and the flag with his followers pissing and shitting all over the capitol building, I ask, should we even consider these people every again as moral exemplars? NO.

Evangelicals lay down with a dog, and they have fleas that they will NEVER EVER rid themselves of. Some of them are also into Q Anon,and they are not coming out. So.. when you see Franklin Graham pretending we should pray, or Robert Jeffers trying to backtrack ,

Or any of the other white men who are "apologists" for Evangelicalism try to scurry away from the stench of Trumpism because they have their supreme court justice and all of that.- don't let them.

Remind Evangelicals of the venality they signed onto for power. Remind Evangelicals that they don't get to legislate ANYTHING for anyone after following after a literal fake tanned golden calf. Don't give them the opportunity to rewrite their history.

Remind them that as much as they like to pretend their reformed theologies, their worship, their piety, their flag waving is going to save them... that they are damned for embracing a man who is the closest thing to the Antichrist we have seen that they claim to believe in.

Finally, I am going to quote Jesus, and not because I am pious, but because I am resolute "I did not come to bring peace, but a sword" America needs to cut out the cancer of Evangelicalism that has hobbled our politics, and embraced White supremacy. I am here for Christians.

I am not here however, for White Evangelical Racism. #Fin

Oh one more thing. Don't do that shit like Jim Wallis did, to start claiming black and Latino Evangelicals to prove White Evangelicals aren't racist. Sadly, some of them were allowed to drink from the White Evangelical fountain and sold out their own people.
