What is required to learn mantra shastra?

1: In general, if you have not been born in India or to Indian parents, or acquire a genuine Indian teacher (these last two may still not be useful).. it is almost impossible.

Why do I say this?
It’s because, the ability to pronounce Sanskrit syllables correctly and properly and at some speed .. all are important for mantra Anusthana.
If you can’t recite a mantra correctly, you are basically going to have trouble completing even 108 japa, let alone 10k

However, being born in India or to Indian parents, still don’t guarantee that you will really make any progress.. because the majority of the educated Indian world is watching porn or playing video games and “enjoying” life… especially true in cities in India..

In fact, many Indians today are by virtue of their addiction to video games and/ or porn are basically never even going to get anyway near a mantra.. see.. Bhagwati knows how to bind people in all kinds of Maya.. these are people who can learn really easily but it’s impossible.

Why is daily sadhana important?
Why is Sandhyavandana important?
Why is daily knowledge of panchang important?

Sandhyavandana done daily will take you around 12 minutes. Over 10 years, done everyday, that’s 365 x 10 x 12 minutes 43,000 minutes of sadhana. Over 40 years and for those doing more malas of Gayatri, it’s way beyond.
What’s the power of that sadhana.

It takes around 3-4 months to get into a daily routine for sadhana.
That is the hardest part. Once done, the power of a simple sadhana like Sandhyavandana once or passes 10 year mark can completely nullify almost any basic kritrima attack of spirits.

A Brahmana who does 11 malas of Gayatri a day can develop his mental power to such an extent that almost anything is possible.
The mantraraja of all mantras is Surya Gayatri... Tantra attacks and all that stupidity can’t come near that practitioner...

A Brahmana who holds Gayatri in his hrdaya (what happens after 10 years or so) becomes competent to hold the power of the mantras within the body almost instantaneously...
You don’t need to believe me. Those who do it know it.

Small thread on Yantras.
Do market bought Yantras work?
Ans: No, market Yantras are mostly useless.
Why?
A Yantra is designed to hold a mantraic energy of a Devata. There is a process to it.

Bhojapatra/ wood Yantras on specific materials are best. The idea is that the sadhaka takes a specific Sankalpa and then decides a course of sadhana to fulfil that Sankalpa.
1008 repetitions of x mantra times 40 days + energy transferred to Yantra at end of every day.

I explain the process of transferring energy and other details in one of my older Sri Vidya workshops.
Thus, the Yantra made on a device which becomes a receptacle for mantraic energy is made and suitable kept at end of sadhana for worship.
This is an arcane and rigid method

Thus, the Yantra becomes capable of holding the energy and that process is then repeated at intervals… when all conditions are fulfilled, the Sankalpa is completed as long as it is within the possibilities of reality)

Same can be done on a copper Yantra but .. it’s not quite the same depending on Sankalpa/ Devata/task… etc.
Note that these work especially well for protection… that’s one reason why one should have been doing sadhana for some time in the first place.

People mistake situations:

The Purva karma/ Pitru karma/ Desha karma puts you in a certain situation in life: that’s your chart’s reflection (grahas etc)
Your reaction to it in sadhana form is your Agami karma (partly) dependant on your FREE WILL.

Let’s take example 1 on Purva Karma:
The Purva karma/ Pitru karma/ Desha karma puts you in a certain situation in life: that’s your chart’s reflection (grahas etc)
You are in a boat (with passengers) and that boat springs a leak, sinks!
Purva Karma brought you into the water.

Now:
You have a choice:
1: Either you decide it was your Prarabdha and decide to drown or start calling for help
OR
2: You thought about this scenario few years back and learnt swimming and floating and techniques to calm yourself.
Your Agami karma: Swim/Float/Stay alive

Similarly, you are in a desolate place and suddenly for no fault of yours, without doing anything wrong, you got attacked or harassed: That’s ur Purva Karma.
You can:
1. Stay there be harassed. (God will help or not)
OR
2. You run/ think your way out/ pay your way out Agami karma

That’s the mistake people make:
They think that YOU are at fault or you are to BLAME just for being there:
BUT that’s wrong: it could be your Pitru karma being released/ karma of the land/ etc.
