You see, With God, keeping our fingers crossed connotes probability.

God doesn't make predictions. He makes promises and He keeps them. We must believe in order to receive.

#Do you know God reads "letters?"
1.
There are some things we often think are beneath God to bother Him with.

We assume some mundane stuffs are to small to bother Him with. We panic because, we believe, God shouldn't be bother with small, inconsequential stuffs

King Hezekiah

2.
once received a letter from a king with a history of destroying anything and anyone that caught his fancy.

The king was greatly feared by all. There was no exception. He had conquered all known powerful kingdoms, their kings and their gods.

The letter brought fear and

trepidation upon king Hezekiah and his subjects.
It brought panic.
It was a joy killer. Even the bravest of men trembled.
The letter turned everything upside down.
Everything was now at a standstill.
Hezekiah and his subjects were under siege.
The king did not know what to do

out of the confusion that arose, but, he knew where to go.

Hezekiah did the unthinkable. He took the letter to the altar of prayer and spread it before God.

It seemed ridiculous to do such a thing.
It looked like something a confused man would do.

It looked laughable, but, he did it anyways.

And Hezekiah received the letter of the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up into the house of the Lord, and spread it before the Lord.

Jeremiah accused God of deceiving him, yes, you read right. No he did not, you might say, o yes he sure did 🙆🏽‍♂️😱

Incidentally, he was in the "WILL OF GOD" doing exactly what God told him to do. He was speaking the mind of God, yet, he was arrested, thoroughly lashed and thrown in solitary confinement.

"What's going on here? " he asked.
"This can't be happening to me, I'm in the will of

How can a "whole Prophet" accuse God of deceiving him, we may ask. Well, he did.

Things were not going the way he thought they would. He had expected the hearers of God's message to be trembling with fear at the godly warning of

He was largely frustrated and disappointed. "Lord, this must be a joke, and if it is, it ain't funny at all..."

You see, when one is in this "precarious state," all manner of stuffs may begin to manifest. While some will pray for strength

to go on to the end, others may be nagging and complaining, and sadly, many fall into the latter category.

Well, we must understand that even in the will of God, unpleasant things do happen.

Even in the will of God, we can grow weary, tired, disappointed, discouraged,

WHY SHOOT OUR WOUNDED? - Ps. 109:21-31

A Detroit newspaper reportd that a patient in a local hospital was shot and killed as he lay in his bed recovering from a previous gunshot wound. The victim had been listed in fair condition prior to the shooting and was looking forward to

going home. Hospital patients and employees were stunned. A spokesperson said that nothing like this had happened in the 50yrs of the hospital's existence.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could say the same for our churches?

Wouldn't it be encouraging if we were able to say

that in 50yrs of meeting together for worship, fellowship and spiritual healing, we had not had a single instance of a wounded member being cut down by the unkindness of a fellow Christian?

Many among us have experienced the pain that David expressed in Psalm 109.

When he was hurt and vulnerable, insensitive people took advantage of him. Certainly, if he had sinned, he needed their loving correction. what he didn't need was their scorn, gossip, and selfish neglect. Who shoots his foot after stubbing his toe? No one in his right mind,

neither should anyone with the mind of Christ act unmercifully toward a wounded brother or sister in the body of Christ. Rather, we must "show mercy" (v.16).

Give me, Lord, a lot of mercy
For my fellow men each day,
Mercy in their many failures
As they struggle on their way.

Brethren, we all need a connection.

There are no self-made men or women.

Everyone was helped.

It was connection that got Joseph into the palace.

It was connection that got David into the palace

God used "mere servants" in the palace.

He can use anyone.

Ashpenaz was a master servant In the king's palace.

He represents men that are

strategically positioned.

1. Ashpenaz, was a eunuch and a scout too
2 . He had access to the corridors of power.
3. He had the king's ears.
4. His job was to identify talents, groom talents and then, open doors for them.
5. If you found favour in the eyes of Ashpenaz, you were

almost 100% certain, you will find favour before the king.
6. Ashpenaz's are major players.
7. Gifts and callings aren't enough, your need a SAMUEL, an ASHPENAZ.
8. You will meet your Ashpenaz and your Samuel this week
9. . Some have been playing at the rung of the ladder,

God will bring people into your life that will bring you into the palace

God will bring people into your space, that will turn your life around.

2. They probably knew or heard He healed the sick, gave sight to the blind, healed one or two crippled folks, and the best they probably heard of Jesus was that, when He showed up at Peter's workplace, He did what could be termed as an exceptional miracle. Well,

Elijah did similar stuffs anyways, they said.
3. The knew Jesus to be a gentle and easy going and probably did not show any sign of someone that could raise the dead, someone in the semblance of Elijah who called down fire or Elisha who was a bit temperamental and performed some

very powerful miracles.
