According to orders passed by the Kuala Lumpur High Court on Thursday seen by Reuters, plaintiff of case is Peregrine Aviation Charlie Limited and matter pertains to two jets leased to PIA by Dublin-based AerCap, the world’s largest aircraft lessor, in 2015 .(Nawaz Sharif Govt)

 They are part of a portfolio that AerCap sold to Peregrine Aviation Co Ltd, an investment unit of NCB Capital, the brokerage arm of National Commercial Bank SJSC, in 2018. (Shahid Khaqan PMLN govt.)
Impounded Plane,was acquired by PMLN Government in 2015 on Lease
PIA failed to pay the lease & Plane was deemed "Stolen Property" yet Nawaz Sharif Government kept on using this Plane for next three years.
In 2018,Plane was handed over to PTI govt. by then PM Shahid Khaqan Abbassi
The impounded Plane (sources) is flight PK894 . The Plane registration Number is AP-BMH (Boeing 777).
This Plane was acquired under lease in 2015.
It is operational Since 2016 (PMLN government)
The manufacturer & Lessor details are shown in document below;
Planes certificate of Worthiness & Maintenance since 2016
showing the period of Nawaz Sharif government maintaing this Plane.
Finally;
PTA license issued in 2015 for using Satellite for Navigation.....of course to PMLN government.

To conclude Mafia never pays to anyone hence they Leased/Rented a Plane & refused to pay..

PIA Flight Operation Department (FoD) has admitted some crucial missing features in recently acquired Boeing 777 by airlines management in an undue haste, deficiencies have been pointed out by engineering department of the airline.
However it was not explained in the FoD letter No: FLT OPS/TECH/51 dated November 17, 2015 that why these aircrafts were accepted when some of the missing features make them non compliant with the Civil Aviation requirement of Pakistan.
As per sources the national flag carrier recently acquired 2 Boeing 777 on dry lease option while one with registration number AP BMG has been delivered and another one AP BMH to join PIA soon.
Boeing777 in question is atleast 10years old as it did its first flight on 13thMay2005 & was leased to VietnamAir till Oct2015 when PIA acquired the aircraft. supposed to be fitted with all facilities before handing over but it seems someone was in hurry to get aircraft delivery.
Experts question the acquisition of Boeing 777-200 ER in haste from the Vietnam Airlines that have many essential items and safety measures missing compared to the similar fleet that Pakistan International Airlines is operating.
Letter points out that aircraft lacks on the board performance tool (OPT)
Flight Operation Department however promised that OPT would be given to the crew on their iPad.
Department further pointed out that those crew members that do not have iPad will be provided hard copies.
Experts question this lack of professionalism by PIA that is taking such an important flying input so lightly.
Another missing feature is the absence of surveillance cameras with display in cockpit. This feature is crucial for ensuring the safety of the passengers.
CAA made it mandatory to install these cameras.Letter states that waiver in this regard has been obtained from PCAA.Experts regret that such waiver has been granted by the authority which could be a source of embarrassment for both PIA and CAA if an aircraft is inspected abroad.

N10.9bn Fraud: Court Jails Ex-Finbank MD, Nwosu, Three Others


Justice Lateefa A. Okunnu of the Lagos State High Court sitting in Ikeja, on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, convicted and sentenced Okey Nwosu, a former Managing Director, Finbank Plc, to three years imprisonment for over 10m fraud.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, had arraigned Nwosu alongside Dayo Famuroti, Agnes Ebubedike and Danjuma Ocholi on a 26-count amended charge bordering on stealing and illegal conversion to the tune of N10,934,704,402.

The defendants, who perpetrated the fraud while they were directors of the bank, pleaded not guilty to the charge preferred against them, thereby leading to their full trial.

In the course of the trial, the prosecution counsel, Rotimi Jacobs, SAN, called witnesses and also tendered several documents that were admitted in evidence against the defendants.

These people weren't murdered. They were legally executed after convictions for horrendous crimes, being sentenced to the death penalty, and going through countless appeals.


You can oppose the death penalty as a punishment without pretending that the people executed were victims or that carrying out those executions is comparable to murder.

As an example: Daniel Lee was a white supremacist who murdered a family (including an 8-year-old girl) by suffocating them with bags and then dumping their bodies in a swamp.

That's whose name @CoriBush wants you to remember.

Wesley Purkey admitted to kidnapping, raping, and then murdering a 16-year-old girl named Jennifer Long. He then dismembered her body. He also beat an 80-year-old woman to death.

Maybe we should learn the names of his victims instead, @CoriBush?

Dustin Honken was a meth dealer that murdered 5 people, including 2 girls under the age of 11, because their dad was set to testify against him on drug charges. He was specifically sentenced to death for killing the 2 kids.

The Trump supporters who broke into the Capitol left behind shards of broken glass and ripped-apart furniture, blood, empty bottles, and even feces smeared on the walls.

The custodial staff cleaned up in places where people were bludgeoned & in one instance fatally shot, & where dozens of Capitol Police officers were wounded. "It felt bad. It's degrading," said a custodial employee in his 30s, who works for the Architect of the Capitol.

Several Capitol janitorial and labor employees — all of whom were Black or Latino — told Insider they no longer feel safe at their workplace, which is supposed to be one of the most secure in the country.

They recounted the hurt of cleaning up after white nationalists who could have threatened their lives, and they feared what's yet to come in the days leading to and on Inauguration Day.

1/ Someone emailed me asking how to break into VC, so I wanted to answer on Twitter where others could see and contribute to the conversation.

2/ “Being a VC” can mean a lot of different things, so it’s worth asking:

What actual activities do you want to do?

- Deep market analysis?
- Be in the flow of information and people?
- Make deals?
- Work closely w/ founders over time (e.g take board seats?)
- Manage capital?

3/ It’s worth specifying what type of VC you might like to become — as there are different archetypes. E.g.

- Benchmark (Lead series A/B - couple investments a year)
- First Round (Lead seed rounds, partner w/ a few companies a year)
- SV Angel (Make lots of seed investments)

YC / Village Global - Build a platform to help entrepreneurs at scale

Do you want to join a firm or start one? There’s a lot to consider.

Different paths will require different skillsets & sets of experiences.

This post is pretty bizarre, but it manages to hit on so many false beliefs that I've seen hurt junior data scientists that it deserves some explicit

(1) The notion that R is well-suited to "building web applications" seems totally out of left field. I don't feel like most R loyalists think this is a good idea, but it's worth calling out that no normal company will be glad you wrote your entire web app in R.

(2) It is true that Python had some issues historically with the 2-to-3 transition, but it's not such a big deal these days. On the flip side, I have found interesting R code that doesn't run in modern R interpreters because of changes in core operations (e.g. assignment syntax).

(3) "Most of the time we only need a latest, working interpreter with the latest packages to run the code" -- this is where things get real and reveal some things that hurt data scientists. If this sentence is true, it's likely because you don't share code with coworkers.

(3) Really is a broader issue in data science: people only think of what they need to do their work if no one else existed and code was never maintained. Junior data scientists almost always operate on projects they start from scratch and don't have to maintain for long.

Iqbal Khan secured his hold on Delhi under Muhammad Tughluq after Firoz Shah died.
Timur provided the required back-up to his grandson with 100000 men approx. Timur sacked and plundered all the cities coming in his way &later in October 1398 reunited with his grandson.
