All civilizations are based on a thin veil of trust. Law is based on the certainty of trust that underlies the application of justice. Once that veil is pierced, things go to hell very quickly.

Once upon a time, a fast food outlet had an owner who said something that was 1) legal 2) within his rights to say 3) controversial

There were some who felt so offended by this outrage that they decided that the company should be punished, if not entirely extinguished
Politicians across the country then worked to ensure that zoning laws were changed to ensure that this company was specifically targeted. Several large municipalities took action to ensure that this company could not even set up shop.
In the end, this company has ( so far) prevailed. But it didnt end there. But we see a new model of business being applied - Get woke, or go broke.
Parler is being removed from AWS because it is a place where the "unwoke" go to talk to each other. AWS has decided to act as a vigilante to the cause of wokeness and has decided that this business is worthy of being destroyed.
And some people look at this and say "well it is just Parler, and those people are creepy and AWS is within its rights, so big deal"
But its bigger than that. In the last century, Rural farmers fought the railroads. Their monopoly of function made the lives of farmers and ranchers into serfs. Speak up against them and you find your rates for transport skyrocket, and your good are no longer competitive
AWS is more powerful than the railroad was in the past. AWS decides that you are insufficiently "woke", youre done.
When I say "There is a list" believe me, there is. Businesses first, and then individuals will be examined and determined for their level of wokeness and then each of the public space areas will be taken away.
No telecom, no IT hosting, no banking, no insurance will be given to those who do not bend the knee to this new tyranny and to be sure, that is exactly what it is
Now, thanks to the childlike idiocy of the soon to be former president, he has given them a weapon to attack everyone who fails to fail in line. You should all be aware by now that no matter how you felt about the attack on the capital, you are - one and all , seditionists
If you stand against "The new state" then you are "just like them", the morons who invaded the capital building. You and your business will be called out as "seditionist" which will be the crime by which they will persecute.
Some of us will resist, others will give in. "The New State" will only care about you if you comply. Your resistance will only empower their actions, but resist you shall as you have no other choice.
Trust, faith and fairness are in short supply and with it civilization itself is now threatened.

Animal barbarity with its insatiable need for vengeance is the foundation of "the new state". Do not expect to find justice in "The New State"

THREAD: Okay. I'm about to get SUPER space beans tin foil hat on you, so stop reading if you're not into that. Based on what we're learning from public reporting, the pentagon curtailed the response to the trump coup. 1/

We also know from video and public reporting that there were two groups that stormed the capitol. 1) weird-ass bystanders and 2) possibly armed ex-military members with tactical gear and flex cuffs 2/

We also know there was a failed coup attempt in Venezuela orchestrated by Giuliani and former members of Blackwater, an Erik Prince joint. 3/

We also know that Giuliani met with Brian Benczkowski and Bill Barr to lobby for for help to go easy on his Venezuelan pal. Benczkowski is a former Alfa Bank rep. 4/

Further, we know that Erik Prince is the brother of Betsy DeVos (who JUST resigned) and the former head of Blackwater. We also know that the day before the insurrection, a memo was sent out to knee-cap the federal police in DC. 5/
More severe police injuries and deaths on that one day of rampaging Trumpers than in five years of Anti-Police protests.

You can tell a lot about the stance of a angry crowd by whether they come with shields or pitchforks.

If people protesting police brutality for years had wanted to use their large numbers to attack, maim and kill police, they damn well could have.

But they came to resist police.

Which is completely different.

Why did the police suffer more at the hands of those who claimed to support them and waved their flags than at the hands of those who think they should be defunded or abolished?

Because one group is literally arguing for human dignity and the other glorifies violence.

The people who uncritically support police brutality are those who believe that instrumental violence should be a standard tool in response to those standing opposed to you.

Once you accept that... WHO is standing opposed to you doesn't matter much.
