‘s statement is full of lies.

Lie 1. The laws are not ‘reformist’ & even govt has agreed on these things which is why they sent suggested amendments. It may be noted that the laws are also violation of constitution. The laws have been made in state subject by centre.

Lie-2- Laws were not passed by majority vote in both the houses. The voice note was taken amid chaos and confusion. Govt of India passed the laws when nation was battling pandemic. Why was it done?

Govt has been running away from parliament session on the laws.
Lie 3.- The meetings with the govt ministers have been more or less a joke. Farmer Union leaders educated & schooled @nstomar about the flaws in the laws which he apparently didn’t know about or GOi never acknowledged.
Lie-4- Govt has admitted via Amit Shah in meeting on 8th Dec, that laws don’t change anything at all on the ground & that govt can do away with any changes in laws as requested by unions.
5. @MEAIndia doesn’t tell you that farmers protests were able to convince govt of india to take back two ordinances on Air pollution control & Electricity amendment bill. Not reformist those?
6. Govt of India has no record of on ground consultations with farmers anywhere on the ground. @PMOIndia lies multiple times on ground consultations after pressure from farmers. This was amplified by Malviya Factory.
7. Govt of India doesn’t tell you that Sikhs have been vilified by govt sponsored IT cell sponsored by none other than BJP and with full complicity and knowledge of @PMOIndia . Restraint has been from Sikhs to tolerate this BS!
8. MEA doesn’t tell you that many farmers have been targeted using BJP goons. MEA doesn’t tell you that party meetings were held to attack the tractor March on 26th. MEA stays silent on stone pelting attack by identified BJP goons.
9. MEA doesn’t tell you that Govt of india no longer acknowledges right to protest and has blacked out protest sites by blocking internet, water supplies, food supplies and entry of journalists.
10. MEA doesn’t tell you that around 170 farmers have died protesting against the laws which can be repealed for collective good.
MEA doesn’t tell you that govt of india digs roads constantly, denies permission to protest within Delhi and sexually assaults female activists belonging to lower castes.
MEA doesn’t tell you that govt of India’s ruling party celebrates the killer of MahatmaGandhi openly and events are attended by its party workers. Govt of india thinks everybody is a fool.
@MEAIndia doesn’t tell you that farmers sitting on the borders of Delhi have either served in the Indian army or have their sons at the borders. MEA is projecting farmers as anti national in its tweet.
I am thankful to everybody who has supported the farmers protest. Don’t be bogged down by these Bollywood lackeys of govt. They lack spine. I repeat, Repeal the laws and we will go home.
@MEAIndia has played propagandist by not acknowledging that farmer protests are taking part in entire India. MEA fails to tell you why it has blocked borders of MP & other states. MEA doesn’t tell you that it charged farmers in Gujarat & house arrested them. @MEAIndia is a joke.
@MEAIndia also doesn’t tell you that the bought out judiciary of India is not trusted by its own citizens. MEA doesn’t tell you that CJI’s made committee was biased & was opposed by everyone including a member of committee who resigned.
@MEAIndia also doesn’t tell you that govt of india lies about upholding MSP while the conditions on ground are otherwise. MEA doesn’t tell you that govt hasn’t implemented Swaminathan report that it claims to have done.

This is a pretty valiant attempt to defend the "Feminist Glaciology" article, which says conventional wisdom is wrong, and this is a solid piece of scholarship. I'll beg to differ, because I think Jeffery, here, is confusing scholarship with "saying things that seem right".

The article is, at heart, deeply weird, even essentialist. Here, for example, is the claim that proposing climate engineering is a "man" thing. Also a "man" thing: attempting to get distance from a topic, approaching it in a disinterested fashion.

Also a "man" thing—physical courage. (I guess, not quite: physical courage "co-constitutes" masculinist glaciology along with nationalism and colonialism.)

There's criticism of a New York Times article that talks about glaciology adventures, which makes a similar point.

At the heart of this chunk is the claim that glaciology excludes women because of a narrative of scientific objectivity and physical adventure. This is a strong claim! It's not enough to say, hey, sure, sounds good. Is it true?
