So I have been briefly looking into how OCD is assessed. I came across this image. Crikey, it just makes me think even more that PDA should be viewed as an OCD & related disorder.

One should see that the model she is describing matches up to the OCD cycle.
So demand = obsessive thought.
anxiety = anxiety.
Demand avoidance behaviour = compulsion.
Temporary relief = temporary relief.
It is acknowledged that demand avoidance behaviours have a loose hierarchy, so the more anxious (distressed) the PDAer is, more extreme behaviour they display to assert the self-agency. This is covered in the work of @Allison66746425

So for PDA a person might get temporary relief, until they exert extreme behaviour, often shocking or violent behaviour. Which then causes other person to withdraw demand, giving relief.
Obviously, the world is full demands and perceived pressures. So a person with PDA would naturally have obsessive demand avoidance, as described by Newson et al.
When looking at the affects of OCD and how it presents, it is familiar to PDA. In relation to the amount of time and effort lost to the demand avoidance (compulsive) behaviours.
How a person with PDA would often develop unhelpful strategies to manage their demand avoidance is similar to unhelpful strategies developed by those with OCD.
Another feature of OCD is how their compulsions can interfere with social interactions and relationships. Which is exactly the situation described by @DrJudes03 in her ADOS data, the anxiety driven demand avoidance impacts their interaction with clinician.
Which is why the ADOS is incorrectly interpreting these behaviours as social communication issues. ADOS is NOT designed to assess for PDA features. It is to be expected that it will mis identify anxiety based RRBISa s social communication issues.
A core feature of OCD is how the obsessive thought causes anxiety or distress. Which is how demands are envisioned in PDA.
An important point here is, that in the DSM-5 autism criteria, is that if a feature can be better explained by another disorder, then it cannot be diagnosed as autism.
Obviously implication is that if PDA is better explained as an OCD & Related Disorder, it cannot be diagnosed as a form of autism:
Autism subtype.
Autism subgroup.
Autism profile.
Etc etc.

example, They are legalizing all recreational drugs. Allowing Young adults who's brains aren't fully developed to just poison themselves. What happens in 5-10-15 years from now? Our entire youth is poisoned more than they already are? All our adults that the children look up too

Golden Crescent region of South Asia - comprises of Afghanistan, Iran, and Pakistan - which is a principal global site for opium production and distribution.


Golden Triangle is the area where the borders of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar meet at the confluence of the Ruak and Mekong rivers. The Golden Triangle is called so because of the triangular shape formed by the locations of New Delhi, Agra and Rajasthan on a map.

- Golden Crescent is world’s leading opium and cannabis producing region since 1983.

- Its proximity to Indo-Pak border has worsened the trafficking of hashish and heroin into Indian soil

- Trafficking happens through the border states of J&K, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat.


- Golden Triangle is leading opium producing region of the South-east Asia, also an ancient narcotics supply route to North America & Europe.

- Myanmar-Northeast nexus is recognized by NCB as the root of heroin & chemical drugs

- Myanmar produces 80% of heroin produced in world

12 Azhwars (Alwars)

The 12 Azhwars, (the Main composers of Naalayira Divya Prabandam - 4000 poetic Rhymes) are known as Nityasuris or Divyasuris; those who reside permanently with the Lord in His Heavenly abode.


They have incarnated as Azhwars -Vasihnavite Saints - to propagate Bhakthi Marga, devotion to Lord Vishnu.

Alwars have dedicated their lives towards Lord Sriman Narayana and they led their life by praising Him.

These Alwars were born in various parts of our country but they were all united in a common subject, ie dedicating their lives and praising the Lord.

Poigai Alwar, Bhoodath Alwar and Pei Alwar are collectively called as "Mudhal Alwars" were found in the same period of time.

Thirumazhisai Alwar, who thought the Perumal as his friend and has sung Mangalasasanam on Perumal.

Thirumangai Alwar was a great king and later, changed his life to work for the Perumal and for his bhaktaas.

Thondaradippodi Alwar, who is also named as "Vipra Narayanar" led his life as the servant to the God and did service to Him by offering beautiful Garlands.

Builder of many architectural marvels like the Kumbhalgarh Fort, an erudite scholar, a patron of arts, music, culture & a great warrior was the Great Maharana Kumbha. Yet we don't know much about him. Let's get to know him a little.


Maharana Kumbha was the undefeated King of Mewar from 1433-1468CE.He never lost any battles &kept Mewar out of the reach of Islamic Invaders till the time he was alive. Born on Makar Sakranti to Maharana Mokal & Saubhagya Devi, Rana Kumbha was only 13 when he ascended the throne.


His father was killed by his own relatives in a political conspiracy. He was a powerful King about 8ft tall &charismatic personality,a hardcore Hindu Rajput who could shed his life for Hindu honour without thinking twice.He was an ardent skillful warrior who never lost a battle.
