The real lesson that should be learned early on in life:
No one actually cares about "big money", "big tech", "corporations", or "Wall Street".
They want YOU to be dumb enough to, so they can take YOUR money.
Populism is holding a treat in front of a dog as you give it a shot while it's enamored.
Look at the "populists"
Ted Cruz: Harvard Law grad
Briahna Joy Gray: Harvard Law grad
Chapo Trap House: makes >$120,000 a year
Josh Hawley: owns two homes in different states, Yale grad
Bernie Sanders: owns 3 homes
Tucker Carlson: trust fund TV dinner fortune heir
Walker Bragman: lives in a mansion in The Hamptons, parents are rich
Meagan Day: heiress to multimillion dollar fortune, lives in a mansion, parents are rich
Donald Trump: archetypal rich obnoxious New Yorker
Populism is nothing but a swindle run by people who know you're dumb or desperate enough to be their mark.
They manipulate emotions, they peddle "easy fixes" and "simple answers" that they never have to explain or deliver on.
All the while their devotees clap like seals thinking they're being fought for and appreciated while they filch the money right out your pocket.
The truth is there are no simple answers. There are no easy fixes.
Life sucks and only the strong survive.
The government and politicians aren't going to wave a magic wand no matter how much they lie to you and say they'll fix your problems.
Only you can.
People want an easy solution that doesn't involve hard work, or they seek to try to escape bad choices they've made.
"I have too much student debt, I shouldn't have borrowed so much, but this guy says he can make it all go away, so here's my money!"
"I need healthcare, but I didn't research available programs and prices and resources, but that's fine because this guy says he's gonna give it to me and it's that easy"
"I refuse to work a job other than coal mining, but this guy says I don't have to and it's the Chinese' fault"
They tell you want you want to hear and baby you until you're entirely dependent on the populist con artist.
And then when they fail to deliver, which is always, they've conditioned you to blame it on forces outside of your control, like "the establishment".
Anything to absolve you of having to make the hard decisions.
It is a completely parasitic relationship pawned off as a symbiotic one.
The populist takes advantage of the ignorant, keeps them ignorant, and takes their money.
And then when they're all used up and drained, it's off to the next sucker.
Justice Dems and Indivisible were against PACs until they were for them.
Hawley and Cruz rake in hundreds of thousands for consulting fees and appearances.
Nina Turner is now a K Street lobbyist.
It's all. A joke. All of it.
Learn it.
Populism doesn't solve problems.
It extends them.
There's nothing wrong with wealth, or corporations, or Wall Street, or any of that.
The true people that are fucking you are the ones who say otherwise.
They're conditioning you to never get ahead.
If wealth is immoral, you'll never try to get it!
