Received quite a few messages from traders who lost big in yesterday's BankNifty expiry . This includes both buyers and sellers .

Along with the levels, there is Trend Ratio.
Near 1 or below is bearish, near 2 or above is bullish
( this as per last day's closing).
If Trend Ratio is bullish, expect support at Balance or breakout above Upper level will mean rally will continue.

If Trend Ratio is bearish, look for break or Balance or lower levels .

On a bullish Trend Ratio if Balance breaks, expect all longs to be trapped . Can short with stop above upper breakout figure. And vice versa

Normally the Trend Ratios of both indices are in sync, a little bit of difference. But here BNF is bullish while Nifty is bearish. So, if playing bullish tomorrow concentrate on BNF, If playing bearish, concentrate on Nifty

Major Rule :
1. DO NOT play bearish is market above Balance
2. DO NOT play bullish is market below Balance

The Balance basically tells you which side is a bit trapped

As long as the market stays within the upper and lower levels, option sellers ( whether they have sold on friday or will sell tomorrow) are at an advantageous position and make money. Whichever side this level is broken, that side sellers will be trapped

A single day long or short buildup can flutter to deceive. Analyse minimum 2 days to 5 days

I am seeing many users using the VolXplosion as a daytrading concept. It does work , but the main juice is on positional plays. You will be much better off if you take this trades from a positional standpoint

In technical analysis, majority of the patterns were first observed visually and then the rules made. Observing this interesting phenomenon on BNF over the past one month.
Any strong up day on BNF is immediately followed by a gap down open from the previous closing

So any upmove /upday is almost never having any follow-up buying the next day. Unless this pattern gets broken by 1-3 days of upmove after a strong closing, BNF looks extremely bearish. The logic of BNF seems to be " will kick your ass if you take bullish positions overnight" 😀

Sharing one of my contra views. Adani Ent fut has had massive rise in cumulative OI and there has been a price brkout outside the range today. This means bears are trapped. Longs, whoever they are , are so strong that Adani has not sold off in this market mayhem (1/n)

If Nifty today sells off at SGX , bears will get more confidence to short tomorrow morning or will wait, they will not sqoff. I am expecting Adani to propel upto 160 very fast (2/n)

When I first started learning different option strategies, long straddles seemed the easiest and the way to riches without any significant risk.

Simply buy a CE and PE of same strike before an event, whichever way rhe stock moves post event you make money

But real life is a tougher place, so this did not work in practice 🤣

Vols went up before event pricing in the risk, and since vols over estimate event impact in general, majority of the time there is a vol crush post event and straddles lose money. ( this is why sellers sell)

But the markets now is a strange place. Vols refuse to go up before an event. We have GDP data today evening and Gujarat election results within next weekly expiry. The cost is 1.3% of Nifty for the next week straddle with 8DTE .

So whoever is selling this straddle does not expect Nifty to move 1.3% from here, either up or down within next Thursday? Does not make sense.
Vols not rising before event makes it a no brainer to buy this straddle

With vols not going up before event and with such low vols, chances of further vol crush are slim. Plus, even if markets now go up further, I think traders will get a bit nervous/fearful pushing vols up.

The metal wheel at the top of Bhagwan Jagannath temple is also known as Neela Chakra (Blue Wheel). The wheel is made of eight metals comprising of.. 1/n

iron, copper, zinc, mercury, lead, brass, silver & gold. It's circumferance is about 36 feet & it is so designed that there is a wheel within the wheel. The circumferance of the inner wheel is about 26 feet. Eight hubs join together the inner and the outer wheels. 2/n

There are decorative designs on the outer wheel. The thickness of the Neela Chakra is 2 inches.The wheel is said to be Bhagwan Vishnu's most powerful weapon, Sudarshana Chakra. Inside Jagannath temple, Lord Vishnu's wheel is also worshipped in the name of 'Sudarshana'. 3/n

But inside the temple Sudarshana is not in the shape of a wheel, but in the shape of a small wood pillar placed to the left of image of bhagwan Jagannath. It is believed that the same Sudarshana is also at the top of the temple and is known by the name of Neela Chakra. 4/n
