 1. Company Overview

MTAR Technologies is a leader in the precision engineering industry. They serve clients in the Defence, Space, Nuclear and Clean Energy industries. The company is engaged in the manufacture of
mission-critical precision assemblies and components with close tolerance levels of 5-10 microns.

2. Business Segments

The company operates in 4 segments: Nuclear, Defence, Space and Clean Energy.

Nuclear: In the Nuclear Segment, the company is partnered with Nuclear
Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) which controls all operational, under construction and planned reactors in the country given India does not allow private participation. They manufacture products which are highly critical to the functioning of nuclear reactors.
They have 14 kinds of products with a wide range of applications.

Defence: In this segment, the company has undertaken complex assemblies for the DRDO, such as the base shroud assembly for Agni missiles and the assembly of Secondary Injection Thrust Vector Control (SITVC)
valves and Hydraulic Fin Tip Control (HFTC) valves. They also supplied critical defence products such as aluminum weldments and other machined components to international customers including, an Israeli defense technology company.
Space: In the Space segment, the company mainly serves ISRO. They offer a wide variety of mission critical components and critical assemblies such as liquid propulsion engines, components and assemblies for cryogenic engines, specifically turbo pumps,
booster pumps, gas generators and injector heads for such engines and electro-pneumatic modules to serve space launch vehicles.
Clean Energy: This is their biggest segment and most of their revenues in this segment comes from Bloom Energy.
They manufacture power units - specifically hot boxes (which use methane to produce energy) and are also involved in the development and manufacture of hydrogen boxes and electrolyzers. Bloom is one of the largest and the fastest growing players globally in the
stationary hydrogen fuel cell segment and has 70% of its revenues coming from these product segments, the balance comes from services.
3. Revenue Split:

About 50% of their revenues come from the Clean energy segment where Bloom energy is their main customer. 26% of their revenues come from the Nuclear segment and 22% comes from Space and Defence.
The company derives 55% of its revenues from exports and 45% is from domestic customers.

5. New Products/Capabilities
They company is launching new products and new capabilities which can provide significant growth in the future. They are developing roller screws which are very complex to manufacture and are used in space and defence applications.
Currently, there are no manufacturers for this product in India and roller screws are imported for all of India’s requirements. MTAR is hoping to be the sole manufacturer of this product in India. The market for this product in India is ₹80 Cr.
They are also developing electromagnetic actuators for space and defence applications and have already received an order for ₹1.3 Cr from Defence.
They are also expanding their capabilities to offer high end fabrication and high precision sheet metal to their customers. They are already in talks with ISRO and Bloom energy to fabricate products for them.
6. High Entry Barriers
This is a very high entry barrier business because the products are extremely complex to manufacture and there is no room for error. Any kind of fault in the product is completely unacceptable when you are dealing with rocket engines and aircraft parts.
Also, since these products are so complex to manufacture, the new suppliers have to go through a long qualification process. Also, the customer is very dependent on MTAR for the manufacturing as they are usually involved in the development process of the products as well.
7. Financials
The company has the ability to pass on price increases in their contracts. So the management has indicated the EBITDA margins are sustainable over 30% in the long term.
They enjoy the best margins in the space segment as the raw material is procured by ISRO and the company only focuses on the manufacturing.

Net Profit vs Cash Flow from operations (CFO) - What is more important?

1. Net income is the profit a company has earned for a period, while cash flow from operations measures the cash going in and out during a company's day-to-day operations i.e., the cash which is generated through its core business.


2. Net income is calculated by subtracting the cost of goods sold, operating expenses, depreciation & amortization, interest expense and taxes from total revenue.

3. Cash flow from operations is calculated by adding the non-cash expenses such as depreciation and amortization to the net profit and then subtracting the changes in working capital.

Now lets understand few differences between Net Profit and Cash Flow from operations (CFO)

1. Net profit is recorded on an accrual basis whereas CFO deals with only cash items. Income earned is recorded in the net profit even if cash is not received

This is very unique temple as Shiva and Vishnu both are in the “linga” form in the same Garbhagriham. The Srikovil is in a circular pattern. Temple's Prathishta was done by Parasurama.

It is said that the one who bears the dust thrown from the hoof of Gaumata on his head, as if taking a bath in the water of the teerth sthalam and getting rid of all sins.


Ved and all other Hindu scriptures venerate the cow. The Vedic dictionary, Nighantu, gives amongst other synonyms of 'Gau' [ or cow] the words 'Aghnya', 'Ahi', and 'Aditi'.

Yaska the vedic decoder and commentator on Nighantu, defines these as-

Aghnya —— the one that ought not to be killed
Ahi —— the one that must not be slaughtered.
Aditi —— the one that ought not to be cut into pieces.

These three names of cow signify that this is an animal which should not to be put to tortures. These words appear frequently throughout the Veda in context of the cow.

But in due course the falsehood of killing cows spread far and wide and they became even more deep rooted when western scholars with their half baked knowledge of Sanskrit transliterated these interpretations of commentaries of Sayanacharya ,

On the day of Amavasya, devotees get the darshan of Shyam Baba in Shyam varan (black color). In ordinary days, the form of Baba is saffron. The reason for this is a custom. The real head of Shyam Baba which had appeared from Shyam Kund is of Shyam varan.


Every day Shyam Baba's grand Shringar is done by Pujaris. The main part of Shyam Baba's shringar is Tilak. This Shringar is done by the members of Nij Mandir sevaks. The sevaks of the Nij Mandir do sandalwood tilak to Baba everyday in the auspicious time.


This Divine Tilak is applied from the forehead to the nose. When Baba is given a bath by sevaks, this tilak comes off. Then in the auspicious time, the sevaks again apply tilak to Baba.


There is no auspicious time on the Amavasya. Because of this, tilak is not done on that day. That's why devotees have darshan of Shyam Baba on the Amavasya only in the actual real form (Shyam Swaroop). Baba's tilak is done on Amavasya only on the day of Deepawali.

Sharing one incident... After Modi's Trichy youth conference, the very next morning when police were clearing up their mini-control room, they found 5 strange boys who were roaming there with bags. When police enquired them "Sir, we are from Subramaniapuram in Trichy.

Even in the last DMK meeting the very next day we collected around 1500 bottles. But for Modi's BJP meeting, we could not find even a single bottle in the whole ground. We are coming around and around and not a single bottle in any corner of the G Corner ground in Trichy,

The shrine is dedicated to Sri Vishnu along with Devi Lakshmi and Bhoodevi.
It is built in an area full of Champaka trees.
As champaka flowers are offered to Sri Vishnu here, it is called Champakadhama.


It is believed that King Janmejaya had sarpa-dosha. To get rid of it, he took bath in the nearby pond. He emerged with a golden body and sarpa-dosha was also removed. The pond is called Swarnamukhi and believed to have curative powers.
Sri Vishnu murti was consecrated by him.


It is also believed that this forest area was the Dandakaranya where Sri Ram stayed in exile.
Some believe that the original shrine was built by Pandavas.
The pushkarni/pond is emptied once a year so that the rock at the bottom (which has image of Anjaneya) may be worshipped.

The ancient Indian kings called a head crown as a Mukut and it would mostly constitute of a golden ornamental headgear like an oval cap with gems.

Sometimes it would also include a halo circle to show the divinity of the king

As it was considered that kings were appointment by the gods themselves. Example the kings of mewar considered themselves to be the ‘Diwan of eklingji')

But in most cases very few Mukut with halo effect have been found.

Samudragupta in the gupta era coin. You can see the helmet like headwear on him.

Till gupta era the solid golden head wear was used in most days of the monarch.

But since the onset of 8th century it reduced in usage and was now used only as a ceremonial headwear.

Whereas earlier the Maharaja had to wear the mukut whenever his court was in session.

Still mukut was being used prominently for ceremonial activities till recent times.

But as times past the style of headwear also changed.

The kings mostly wore turbans ordained with pearls and gems while rarely anyone wore a true Mukut after 16th century.
