Narrative of Atlantis, the legendary sunken metropolis detailed by the ancient Greek philosopher Plato, is well-known. The debate over whether this story should be regarded literally or simply as a morality tale continues to this day.

A similar story exists further east in India's subcontinent, albeit it is perhaps less well known than Atlantis'. This is the 'lost continent' of Lemuria, which Tamil speakers commonly associate with the legend of Kumari Kandam.

Lemuria was coined in the later half of the nineteenth century. The existence of lemur fossils in Madagascar and India but not in continental Africa or the Middle East perplexed English geologist Philip Sclater.

Sclater argued that Madagascar and India were formerly part of a bigger continent in his 1864 article 'The Mammals of Madagascar,' and termed this lost landmass 'Lemuria.'

The scientific world of the time accepted Sclater's theory as the explanation for how lemurs could have moved from Madagascar to India or vice versa in ancient times.

With the results are out. The public has chosen a Govt & all of us should accept this.
There is no point in blaming a sect of people etc., The result was almost expected & hence nothing wrong. Few chose to be ostrich & were pining hopes which were different from reality.

I won't blame them but if they were following politics from SM alone, they will be like that. In SM, we have the option to choose our friends whose vibes match with us.

EPS on the other h& has done a good job. He had proved as a good CM. Now he has got an opportunity to be a good Opposition leader.
One should not 4get that the proper working of EPS or AIADMK is mainly attributed to the way DMK functioned as an opposition party.

DMK kept the Govt on tenterhooks. With their claims & declarations, they have made Govt reactive in almost all the issues.
Govt might have had plans but MKS was swift to pounce on the issue & gave suggestions (which the Govt already froze).

This ended as if DMK's suggestions were adopted by the ruling Govt.

It is easy to point fingers when one is in opposition. MKS will realize now the serious issues. The debts TN is having. He had promised or doled many freebies - one has to wait & watch how he h&les it.

Why We Play Bells in Temples?

The ritual's yajamana recites a sloka that begins, "Agamartham tu devanam, gamanarthantu rakshasam," which means, "I ring the bell as an appeal to the divine so that virtuous and noble forces enter and negative forces depart."


The bell is rung periodically throughout the puja while various offerings are made to the Lord.

The ringing of the bell is considered lucky. A well-designed ghanta produces a deep, continuous, and sonorous sound. It's thought to represent the primal sabda or Omkara.


Puja bells are frequently adorned with specific figures that correspond to the god being worshipped. The figure of Nandi, or the bull, which is associated with Lord Shiva, is cast on bells used in Siva worship.

Those employed in Vishnu worship have a Garuda figure, panchajanya conch, or Sudarsana discus.

We are all aware of the current state. Consciousness is combined with the five elements [earth, fire, air, water, and space]. There is variation, as well as names and forms. It's your first time covering.

This isn't your face. Only this, according to one religion, is correct. The demons [Rakshasas] focused solely on this. Only bodily pleasure. Even after you've died.

2. THE SUBTLE:

Everything, including your mind, memory, intellect, sense organs, and action organs, is located in this subtle condition. This subtle body is what you call ghosts, etc. This isn't you, either.

Consciousness is combined with five delicate elements: sound, touch, form, taste, and scent. This is where Christianity comes to an end. This delicate body is what they call the Soul. The gross body contains the subtle body.
