My trading strategy revolves around three things:
1. Supply and Demand
2. Trend
3. Liquidity
All are important and essential for my trade setup.

Supply and Demand: What is it?
Supply and Demand zones are areas of price where institutional buying or selling is taking place. These zones are key because price is likely to reverse at these zones since institutions want to defend or add to their position.

To find these zones, you want to look at the SPEED of price action. Supply/Demand zones are formed when price moves FAST from an area. Look for wicks or long body candles.

How to draw zones?
To draw these zones, you take the top of the body or wick of the candle PREVIOUS to the explosive candle and draw it down to the bottom. Extend the zone and there it is. (Knowing whether to use the wick or top of the body will take experience)

Disclaimer: I truly don’t feel qualified to share “my strategy”. There are other better experienced traders you should listen to. But here’s what I trade: MOMENTUM, FLOW & CNBC pump 😃

Every night I manually go through 50-60 tickers and find high probability setup based on previous day/week’s action. I chose to manually go through tickers as it helps me continue to learn my frequently traded tickers, their “personality” etc.

I set alerts based on levels I identify. Pivot levels such as previous days high, low, close etc. I tend to set my alerts few $$ below where I’d actually want to enter a trade. This way I can have time to pull the chart up, find the right contract without rushing into any trade

I’ve studied candle sticks and have particular candlesticks I tend to keep an eye out for when I go through my watchlist. Inside days, morning/evening star, spinning tops, hammer, harami, marubozu are some faves. Also note stocks with high volume and strong trend day.

I’m not big on TA as I find it to be too subjective. However, certain patterns that are obvious and that I can identify without squinting too hard, I take note of- bear flags, bulls flags, range breaks, obvious trend lines. I don’t force trends and patterns that don’t exist 😂

Finding key levels.

Lately I’ve noticed a lot of you guys have been asking why are @AdamSliverTrade and other League members levels a little different than the ones you’ve mapped out. Here’s a little information that will help you understand why and better the levels you create!

1. Find the daily range of the stock.

Measure the last 5-7 daily candles wick to wick (eliminating any outliers) and calculate the average move the stock makes.

A good example of a outlier candle that you would exclude:

2. Calculate 20-25% of the average daily range the stock moves.

The average range in the example above is about 2.00 (meaning that on any given day you could expect the stock to move 2 points)

20-25% of 2.00 = .40-.50

3. Place Key Level triggers 20-25% above and below the Market closing Price

In this example, You want your call and put triggers at key levels approximately .40-.50 away from the Market closing price.

You always hear people let your winners ride or cut your losers early. Easier said than done, right?

When trading, you have a 50/50 chance of being right. No matter which side of a trade you take, the stock can either go up or down.

There are certain indicators, levels, or other ways you can increase your odds of being right >50%, but you'll never get significantly higher

So, if our trading record is going to be ~50% right and ~50% wrong, how do we make money?

You HAVE to let your winners run and cut your losers early.

If your losers and winners are the same size (eg losers are -10% and winners are 10%), then you have to win 51% of your trades to make money

Example: you take 100 trades for $100. Winners win $10, losers lose $10. To profit, you need 51 winners (+$510) and 49 losers (-$490)

HOWEVER, if you let your winners run and cut your losers early, the # of trades you have to get right decreases

Example: you take 100 trades for $100. Winners win $20, losers lose $5. To profit, you need 21 winners (+$420) and 79 losers (-$395)

There are really only two types of trading styles:

1. Mean Reversion Trading
2. Breakout Trading

All other "styles" are merely indicator-based trading systems.

Breakout Trading requires identification of four elements in order to be successful:

1. Trendlines (pattern based support/resistance)
2. Price Action (overall trending direction)
3. Volume (the amount of participants)

Trendlines serve as support/resistance like order blocks (areas w/ prior bull/bear struggle) & lead to patterns. Human psychology does not like randomness which is why there tends to be strong reaction at the extremes of historical reference points or anticipated patterns.

The mkt tends to test two extreme ends of reference areas for a time, leading to a distinct larger pattern or range. A misconception is that certain patterns are always bearish/bullish, but the dominant trend (~4-7x TF above yours) influences the eventual breakout dir more.

Still, false breaks occur quite frequently. Basic patterns like triangles often trap newer traders that seasoned traders/algos regularly exploit, especially in crypto. Frontrunning or chasing mid-candle breakout is at high risk of being exit liquidity for the counter dump.
