Female academics and theorists: we need to have clear discussions about topics which are controversial, and women need to be able to talk freely and openly about theories and policies without fear of violence or death

Like we are literally STILL platforming men from all different disciplines who pushed some of the most dangerous and abusive practices, theories and thoughts about groups of people and no one is saying shit. No one is removing them from curriculums or calling for their deaths

But all hell breaks loose when a woman says she has a view on a highly debated and contested theory.

Sorry but I’m not seeing men get silenced, sacked, threatened or abused for arguing about theories. Even the pro-paedophile academics get an easier time than female academics

There was a book released last year which argued that white rich men were the most oppressed group in the world and female rape victims had the most privilege - the author argued that black people were being given decent jobs bc of PC gone mad

I teach at universities where old theories written by men about women being more like to ‘precipitate’ their own victimisation are still being taught uncritically to students.

Who is calling for those to be removed??

I’m sick of people violently going after women with opinions they don’t like whilst the same group of people will platform male academics giving speeches about reducing the age of consent or how paedophiles should be given infant sex dolls - and apparently that’s free speech!

You have to be wilfully ignorant not to be able to see the contrasts here. Women are being hunted down and attacked for simply questioning theories, whilst men are lauded and supported as leaders of free speech for fuckin seminars on how to get away with rape.

Open your eyes.

And I say this as someone who deliberately reads and learns about the views of people I really really cannot stand. I bought that idiot’s book and studied it. I wanted to know how he would argue that white men were oppressed. I don’t hide from views I don’t like.

But it’s SO obvious who is being shut down and who isn’t.

I read a book recently which was essentially arguing that women should be oppressed and subordinate. That men need to dominate and abuse women for masculinity etc.

It was vile. But it’s not been shut down, has it?

I spent 2 yrs reading pro-paedophilia articles, blogs and studies just to see how it was all being argued. Some of those academics are heads of departments/funded researchers in decent unis - they are protected by ‘free speech’ and ‘free thought’

Why doesnt this extend to women?
