One day Mahaperiyava with his service minded people went on a Padayatra to Thirukovilur. People of Thirukovilur gathered and waited for Mahaperiyava in the entrance of the Village. There was a a small path on the right hand side of the village which led to another

village called as Vasanthanalloor. He turned in that direction. Those with Him told,”Periyava, this village is a very small village and it does not have a small pond to take bath and it will not be neat also so let us go straight to Thirukovilur". But Maha Periyava continued as

though he heard nothing. The small path was totally dry, very soon

friends then God would be really pleased. Mahaperiyava called Vedapuri mama and ask him to build a small thatched roof house under the twined trees. He asked his Mutt assistants to call all the important people of the village to His Ashram. They gathered and bowed to MahaPeriyava

They only knew that Periyava was a Mahan. Periyava told them, “I want to stay in your town and do Pooja, do you have any objection?"
They said there is no objection Swami, but it is long since it rained in this town.

Arhtiyas (commission agents) who have been the main link between farmers and procurement agencies in the two states of Punjab and Haryana, launched their campaign against the Centre’s agri-marketing

ordinances early as the three bills cleared by Parliament will adversely affect their business. There are over 30,000 registered Arhtiyas in Punjab and Haryana who are deeply entrenched in the system. They exercise a strong influence on agricultural activities and the politics of

both states. These 30,000 employ another 300,000 sub agents or sidekicks or people who would not have made it into doing anything anyplace were it not for the patronage network of these 30,000. But there are only 1500 farming villages in Punjab. 330,000 / 1500 is about 220 people

on average per village doing the work of middlemen.
Why is this the case?

போது இந்த திருடன் அவனிடம் வசமாக மாட்டிக் கொண்டான். மந்திரி ஒரு சூழ்ச்சி செய்தான். உன் தலைக்கு ராஜா ஐந்து லட்சம் என கூறியுள்ளார். நான் சொல்வது போல் நீ நடித்தால் உனக்கு இருபது லட்சம் தருகிறேன், மேலும் உன்னையும் தப்பிக்க வைக்கிறேன் என உறுதி அளித்தான். சரி என இந்த திருடனும்

சம்மதித்தான். அந்த திருடனுக்கு
திருநீறும் ருத்ராட்சமும் அணிவித்து ஒரு சன்யாசி போல் வேடமிட்டான் மந்திரி. பின் அவனிடம், நீ இந்த மரத்தின் கீழ் அமைதியாக அமர்ந்து இரு. ராஜா வந்து எதை தந்தாலும் வேண்டாம் என்று சொல், கடைசியாக அவர் தன் ராஜ்ஜியத்தில் பாதியை உனக்கு தானமாக தருவார். அதை

வாங்கி என்னிடம் தா, நான் உனக்கு பேசியது போல் இருபது லட்சம் தருவேன் என சொன்னான். பின் அந்த மந்திரி, ராஜாவிடம் சென்று, பற்றுகளை விட்டு மரத்தடியில் அமர்ந்துள்ள ஒரு சன்யாசியை கண்டுள்ளேன். அவரை தரிசித்து தங்களின் ஆசையை நிறைவேற்றி கொள்ளுங்கள் என்றான். அரசர் சென்று மரத்தடியில் இருந்த

God has given man the gift of speech so that he may give expression to his thoughts and feelings. If what we

speak is at variance with what we think (with our mind) God will take away the faculty of speech from us in our next birth- that is we will be born in the animal kingdom. There are, as we have seen before, exceptions made in our sastras to the rule of absolute non-violence: in

waging a war to preserve dharma, in offering animals in sacrifice. Are there similar exceptions to the rule of truthfulness? You will perhaps say none. But, as a matter of fact, there are. In a locality there must be a number of undesirable characters. Let us suppose that a

certain citizen is annoyed with such characters and gives open expression to his anger. "He committed this outrage. That other man is guilty of such and such a crime, “he keeps recounting the misdeeds of the bad elements. In doing so he is being truthful, that is his speech and

mind are in accord. But by giving expression to his feelings no purpose is served for neither he not the community is benefited. It is a futile kind of accord - that of his speech and mind - and it cannot be called truthfulness. Take the example of another person. He is full of
