A LONG EXHORTATION

THEME - What if...

Woke up this morning with a puzzling question in my spirit. Dint pay much attention to it, but, as I got out of bed to begin my morning & daily drill of 60mins-90mins of Thanksgiving, that question again interrupted my thoughts ๐Ÿ’ฌ.

2.
The question was just packaged in two words....WHAT IF?

Before I could process the thoughts, a barrage of other questions began to roll in, and then, I knew I had to UP my game in my daily Thanksgiving drill.

You see, I do this Thanksgiving "drill" every morning before I
3.
progress to praying in the spirit and then in my understanding and with relevant bible passages. (Thanksgiving is key to my relationship with God, because, I Know this for sure...THE UNGRATEFUL CARRIES A MARK OF RESENTMENT)

NOW;
4.
What if you woke up this morning and you began to "knock" on the gates of heaven, and as you did, an angel appeared and told you, "hey, sorry bro/sis, God is still resting. He had a busy day yesterday, and cannot attend to anyone until 4pm...")
5.
What if you knocked on heaven's gate and was denied access because, the accuser of the brethren just used his reggae to spoil your blues the previous night

What if you needed to pour out libations before seeing God?
6.
What if you needed to come with a fattened, spotless cow worth millions of =N=?

What if you needed a fellow human to gain access?

What if God gave you the deserved judgement instead of mercy?

What if you had no one to watch over you?
7.
What if God actually sleeps and slumbers?

What if His love had grown cold because, you wearied him out with consistent and persistent wickedness and disobedience?

THE WHAT IFs ARE JUST INEXHAUSTIBLE.

What if God resists you, who can come to your aid?
8.
What if you have to pay for the oxygen you breathe in freely? (Your guess is as good as mine)

What if God abandoned you when you were going through the numerous vicissitudes of life?

Well, thank God there are no "WHAT IFs"
Thank God He never sleeps nor slumbers.
9.
Thank God we don't need any human intermediary to get to Him.
Thank God we have access to Him consistently, and freely.
Thank God we have no need to pour libations b4 we access Him.
Thank God there is no waiting room in the scheme of things, waiting room to wait for our turn
10.
You see, if there are words for Him then we donโ€™t have them.

You see, words are few, and to try to capture the one true God, using our vocabulary will never do, but we use words as an expression,
an expression of worship to a Savior,
11.
a Savior who is both worthy and deserving of our praise, adoration, Thanksgiving, worship.

#My God,
His grace is remarkable, mercies are innumerable,
strength is impenetrable,

He is honorable,

accountable,

favorable,

He is unsearchable yet knowable,
12.

indefinable yet approachable,

indescribable yet personal,

He is beyond comprehension,

further than imagination...

Christ of unsearchable riches

constant through generations, King of every nation.

*When God Shows Up -Day 1*

*Luke 7v11-17 MSG*
Talks about a widow, whose life was filled with losses & misery. She lived in Nain.
๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ
She had no name.

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผHer misery was used to describe her.
๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผMisery had indeed wrapped itself round her like a fitted garment. She was only identified as *THE WIDOW OF NAIN*
๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ
She had lost her hubby, probably a few months or years back, & now, her only son was gone.๐Ÿ˜ฅ
๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ
Nonetheless, this widow of

Nain proceeded to bury her only son.
๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ
There were people there pretending to be mourning, meanwhile, they were gossiping amongst themselves..๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝโ€โ™‚๏ธ

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ"When did she lose her husband that we are once again burying her only son?

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผAre we sure she is not a witch?

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผIs she the only

one in town?
๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ
From one tragedy to another.

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผGod must be punishing her for her sins."
๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ
By this time too, the grave diggers were waiting. They had completed the task of digging the sons grave, & only waiting to be paid their balance

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผThe mourners at the graveyard were

waiting too, but, suddenly, the Lord saw her...felt her pain & showered her with compassion.
๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ
*Luke 7:14 MSG*
Then He went over and touched the coffin. The pallbearers stopped. He said, "Young man, I tell you: Get up."
*Luke 7:15*
The dead son sat up and began talking.

Before I begin, it might be worth explaining the Malay conception of the spirit world. At its deepest level, Malay religious belief is animist. All living beings and even certain objects are said to have a soul. Natural phenomena are either controlled by or personified as spirits

Although these beings had to be respected, not all of them were powerful enough to be considered gods. Offerings would be made to the spirits that had greater influence on human life. Spells and incantations would invoke their

Two known examples of such elemental spirits that had god-like status are Raja Angin (king of the wind) and Mambang Tali Arus (spirit of river currents). There were undoubtedly many more which have been lost to time

Contact with ancient India brought the influence of Hinduism and Buddhism to SEA. What we now call Hinduism similarly developed in India out of native animism and the more formal Vedic tradition. This can be seen in the multitude of sacred animals and location-specific Hindu gods
