New Cannabis Based Menu for Chao Phraya Hospital patients (service being rolled out to other hospitals too)
"This cannabis special menu is bringing different parts of the cannabis plant to use with leaves to cook as ingredients in food" #cannabis #Thailand

Whilst patients in the UK are still being denied with almost no progress with #NHS Amazing to see how much progress is being made with #cannabis as #medicine in #Thailand is the same 2 year period: https://t.co/exZsNSH8uk
A Thread: 1/10 #Thailand allowed #cannabis #medicine in Jan 2019, 2 months after the UK.
NOW:
Is approved for 160+ conditions (everyone!)
Village doctors, clinics and hospitals can supply approved products or grow and produce their own, from nearly 100 approved formulas
2/10 - Average monthly prescription cost is £20-£30.
Educational programs started for the Medical Profession within 3 months, for many others at 6 months and school kids after a year. (Google Dr Ganja - see photo)
3/10 - Shortly they will launch a new policy for any individual or collectives to grow #cannabis for #medicine for themselves and any surplus material can be sold to the government for use in centralised production.
4/10 - The first policy decision was to forbid any foreign investment in #cannabis as #medicine or imports for at least 5 years and focus on building it up locally.
5/10 - #Thailand isn't keen on the Pharma industry having strong values around - If nature can provide, where's the sense/benefit in turning it into a pharmaceutical? Herbal Medicines are very common and very well understood.
6/10 - Formulas are taken from Traditional Thai medicines which had all references to #cannabis removed in 1961. The Monks have copies and have written it back in. Each formula contains other herbal ingredients and are made for various ailments or diseases - 100s of years ago!
7/10 - Traditional Thai medicine includes herbal medicine, bodywork practices & spiritual healing & pre-dates Ayurvedic. It is taught alongside all Medicine. The National Institute of Thai Traditional Medicine is a department within the Ministry of Public Health.
8/10 - Many village doctors never stopped producing original formula medicines for their village residents & help residents produce their own. Since there is deep respect and reverence for age and experience, acceptance by the entire Medical Profession was almost immediate.
9/10 - in contrast to the doubts & fears #UK face it's like the 50yr global ban was an exceptional & unwelcome change that they had to accept at the time due to needing #us military support - and now, finally, things can return to normal again.
10/10 - The rest of the world who are travelling very slowly and carefully down this road had better think on and IMO could benefit from considering this approach to the future of the Global cannabis industry

23 samples, Analysis results

Before I go into results, I must say this was overwhelming. There was SO MUCH the lab identified, impossible to put everything here. So I made a summary. At the end of this thread, I have linked a full analysis described in Excel format. Some results were VERY concerning

3/
How did we analyse?
Here R links 2 methods
They R high end, done under strict protocols
Frm Ministry of Forest, Environment, Climate / NABL approvd Lab
ICP-OES https://t.co/O1CLhqVQAu
GC MSMS https://t.co/zRJoXyWQIr
FTIR https://t.co/goAembQ08p
Here is list V analysed 👇

Sample names written on top (each column).
First 5 samples: C what we identified in #Ayurveda #medicines
Antibiotics
Steroids (anabolic/synthetic)
#NARCOTICS - LSD, Morphine
Blood thinners (possible reason Y bleeding tests were off the roof in the patient)
Heavy metals!

Next 5 samples (total 10 now)
Mercury is clear winner. Almost all samples
See controlled substances - Butyrolactones https://t.co/CPz0FwPEOm, methylamine https://t.co/OZnXY7U9UQ
Alcohols, industrial solvents
Rare metals - cobalt, lithium
Again lots of blood thinners

Charting early steps for H₂ infrastructure in Europe.

👉Summary of conclusions of a new study by @AgoraEW @AFRY_global @Ma_Deutsch @gnievchenko (1/17)
https://t.co/YA50FA57Em

The idea behind this study is that future hydrogen demand is highly uncertain and we don’t want to spend tens of billions of euros to repurpose a network which won’t be needed. For instance, hydrogen in ground transport is a hotly debated topic
https://t.co/RlnqDYVzpr (2/17)

Similar things can be said about heat. 40% of today’s industrial natural gas use in the EU goes to heat below 100°C and therefore is within range of electric heat pumps – whose performance factors far exceed 100%. (3/17)

Even for higher temperatures, a range of power-to-heat (PtH) options can be more energy-efficient than hydrogen and should be considered first. Available PtH technologies can cover all temperature levels needed in industrial production (e.g. electric arc furnace: 3500°C). (4/17)

In our view, hydrogen use for feedstock and chemical reactions is the only inescapable source of industrial hydrogen demand in Europe that does not lend itself to electrification. Examples include ammonia, steel, and petrochemical industries. (5/17)
