Thread on Maldev Rathore. (one of the most powerful Rajput king)

He succeeded his father to rule Marwar, but at the time of his accession only jodhpur and Sojat were under his control

He sent his Rathore army to help rana of mewar against sultan of Gujarat in 1532

in 1534 A.D
Maldev Seized nagaur and drove khan away

He also asked biramdev to hand over Ajmer to him but after getting refusal , He took over Merta and biram had to retire to Ajmer.

later on finally he captured Ajmer

He also conquered Siwana and imprisoned sikandar khan jalore.

When Humayun and sher shah were fighting each other. Maldev Rathore annexed more than 10 districts and extended his rule upto some portions of Gujarat and plundered nabara.

In 1540 A.D He aided uday singh in rescuing throne of mewar and took possession of khairwa and large part of godwad.

in 1542 A.D He invaded Bikaner , killed the ruler and annexed it along with district of jhunjhanu

enemies of maldev placed sher shah against him. When He heard that sher shah is coming , he also marched with a strong army. Even Sher shah was shocked and was thinking to retreat.

But Biramdev played a trick and caused nobles of maldev to betray him hence only 12000 horses arrived to attack sher shah.

but Rathores didn't care. They attacked sher shah and Fought with such bravery that sher shah wanted to quit the battle with his army .But another fresh army was called finally Rathores fell.

Sher shah was shocked when he won. As he almost lost entire Hindustan for a small empire he thought to himself.

Maldev Rathore lost some territories in this battle.

But he raised another army and recaptured his lost territories .

Maldev Rathore even had clashes with Akbar later on who failed to bring this brave rajput king under him.

Maharana Kumbha : The Unsung Rajput Warrior

Born in the glorious line of Sisodiya Rajputs. He ascended the throne in 1433 and immediately started military operations.

In 1437 he defeated Sultan of Malwa and routed his entire army.
This was the most disgraceful defeat of khilji.

For a brief period of time he had some conflicts with Rao Jodha and captured Marwar. Completely placing it under his control.

However 7 yrs later Rao Jodha recovered from the loss of Marwar and made peace with Maharana.

However what they don't know is that charity is NOT supposed to be a substitute of our practices

It supposed to be done on one's own will.

Our dharma has always valued it and encourages us for it but not under pressure .

as per parashara smriti charity is the highest virtue in kali yuga.

Little did anyone knew that not only he was going to expand Mewar's influence but he was destined to be acknowledged as leader of Hindu India.

Very soon he started recovering lost territories of Mewar.

Maharana Sanga's kingdom was surrounded by 3 muzzie kingdoms .
Delhi , Malwa and Gujarat.
The only way left here was to wage wars and conquer new territories.

He was pretty much successful in all battles he fought against them.
He extended his kingdom and established new boundaries which were not dared for a long time.

I would like to present on my #Thread on highly overrated Prime Minister from Congress, PV Narismha Rao. Many BJP supporters also get carried away with some asking for Bharat Ratna 🙄

I will try to present few facts on how PVNR was nothing but yet another failure from Congress.

I would first like to start on why Rao was chosen for the job in 1991.
Forever Prime Minister in waiting Shri Sharad Pawar has alleged in his book that Arjun Singh convinced Sonia Gandhi that Rao will be lame duck Prime Minister & Rao will make way for Arjun Singh to be Cong head

But Rao, didn't step down frm the position of the Party President and this started an internal tussle between then senior Congress leaders & they all formed regional parties. There are two reasons for it, one they were against Rao & 2nd they wanted to get minority votes post 1992

Now lets looks at Rao's role in Barbie demolition, many say Rao was in favour of demolition & some Congress ppl allege that Rao could have saved the demolition by suspending the UP govt, some say he was happy with the demolition.

Its all lie, I will explain you in detail

PVNR was basically in checkmate situation in 1992, whr he had 2 options:
1- He could hav used military against Ram Bhakts, whr he feared military will not fire on ppl chanting Jay Shree Ram
2- Take strict action post demolition to pacify Mυzlims by taking action

An interesting set of games that I've been vaguely interested in since I was a kid, after seeing one at a friend's house and never being able to find it again, was the BATTLES IN A DISTANT DESERT/BATTLES ON DISTANT PLANETS series.

These are turn-based wargames for windows 3.x, sharing the same engine.
Battles in a Distant Desert is from 1992, and is based on the first Iraq war (Desert Storm)

and Battles on Distant Planets is from 1991, and takes place in SPACE!
I'm pretty sure this is the one I played as a kid.

They've got 3 options to play with:
* Player vs. Player
* Player vs. Computer
* Computer vs. Computer

So it's a 0-2 player game!

They also did a DOS strategy game called "STARDATE 2140.2: GALACTIC CONQUEST" in 1990, but it seems to be lost.
All the games share an experimental AI system based on neural networks.

KANTESHA means Prabhu full of brightness.
Here, Sri Hanuman appears with a front face and sparkling eyes. Earlier, the village was also called KANTESHPURI on the name of Kantesha Hanuman.

Several thousands of years ago, Hanuman lived in this village. He once saw the Sun and mistaking it to be a fruit, began flying towards it. Since then, this village came to be known as Kadara Man Dalagi. (Kadar means rays, mandala is cluster of rays).

It is believed that King Janmejaya had set up the shrine to get rid of his difficulties.
There is a small pond on the right side of the kshetram where Teppotsava (Float festival) is celebrated.

Kanaka Dasa has praised Sri Kantesha in his various poetic compositions.

Kanaka Dasa was the first devotee to popularize the power of Kantesha. It is said that once Kanaka Dasa was deeply wounded in a battle. To seek blessings, he visited Tirupati but Sri Venkatesha appeared in his dream and advised him to see Kantesha first before seeing him.

Battle was between the Maratha Warrior Baji Prabhu Deshpande and Sidi Masoud of Adil Shahi Sultanate.

In 1660, the Maratha King Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji was trapped in the fort of Panhala, under siege and vastly outnumbered by an Adilshahis army led by Sidi Masoud.

And while everyone is thinking that finally the Maratha king will be subdued, Shivaji planned to escape to the fort of Vishalgadh. It was administered by a Maratha chieftain named Range Narayan Orpe under Shivaji.
