Cherthala Karthyayani Temple Prathishta was done by Vilwamangalam Swamy. Chertala Pooram is very famous. Devi is Mangalya Dayini here removes obstacles relating to marriages. Sthala Puranam says that, once 👇

Vilwamangalam Swamiyar was passing this area after Prathista of Padmananbhaswamy Temple, he felt Devi chaitanyam and recognized as Karthyayani Devi. But Devi seeing Vilwamangalam went inside the pond. Swamy searched for Devi continously for 6 days and on 7th day Vilwamangalam

got hold of Devi's hair. Thus only Devi's head is Prathishta here. Devotees do Kozhi parathal ( offering cock) here as an offering to Karthyayani Devi.

This is very unique temple as Shiva and Vishnu both are in the “linga” form in the same Garbhagriham. The Srikovil is in a circular pattern. Temple's Prathishta was done by Parasurama.

Mahadeva and Maha Vishnu in the same Srikovil is very rare Prathishta, but poojas are done separately Dhara is done to Maha Vishnu here. People suffering from “KAIVISHAM” and mental illness are fully cured on drinking a medicinal herb supplied by a nearby family here.

The root of the banyan tree around the Ayyappa Sannidhanam is said to have great powers for skin ailments.

Very ancient temple but was covered with forest for many years.

Vigrahams and it suddenly started bleeding. Later Devaprashnam was held and thus found out that these were murthy's of Shiva and Vishnu which was worshipped long back. And thus temple is constructed here.

Bhoga Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple

Bhoga Yoga Narasimha Swamy Temple, Devarayanadurga is located near Tumkur of Karnataka. There are two temples are here for Narasimha Swamy, one is at the base of the hill which is Bhoga Narasimhar and 👇

the other on the top of  hill which is Yoga Narasimhar.

Bhoga Narasimha swamy Temple Prathista is said to be done by Maharshi Durvasa who did tapasya here. While doing tapasya Muni wished to bath in river Ganga and decided to travel to Ganga river bank,

At that time Ganga Devi appeared here and said she will remain here in the temple pond.

Yoga Narasimha swamy Prathista is believed to be done by Bhrama Deva who did tapasya here for many years.

Narasimhar appeared with Lakshmi Devi here to give darshan to Bhrama Deva here.

NAMAKKAL ANJANEYAR

Namakkal Anjaneyar Temple is located in Namakkal Dt. Anjaneyar is about 18ft tall seen with folding hands praying to Narasimha Murthy.

Story says that, Once when Anjaneyar was carrying Saligrama from Mandakini river, was surprised to see Mahalakshmi here. Devi was praying for Bhaghavat darshan in the form of Narasimha. As Saligrama must not be kept on the ground Anjaneya requested Devi

To hold it till he returns. Hanuman didn't return on correct time & Devi placed the saligrama on the ground, which grew to a hill & Mahavishnu gave darshan as Narasimha here. Thus Anjaneyar also stayed here worshipping Narasimhar. Vada Mala is very famous here.

7 HORSES & CHARIOT OF SURYA DEV; READ

Chariot of Surya Dev is referred to as Samvatsara that is, 12 months calculated by its spokes. Rim is said to be 6 seasons. Aruna is the charioteer & chariot is driven by 7 horses. It is said in Srimad Bhagavatam that Rath od Surya Dev is about 9000 yojanas long.

As per Brahmanda Purana these 7 horses are named after Sapta Chandas, meters in Sanskrit.
1.Gayatri
2.Trishtubh
3.Anushtubh
4.Jagati
5.Pankti
6.Brihati
7.Ushnik these are Sapta (7)Chandas.

It is also said that Chariot of Surya Dev denotes the time & Motion.The 7 horses are 7 colors of Rainbow which is (VIBGYOR). Thus Sun's bright light is said to split into 7 colours. As they move across the sky, they remove darkness and spread light
