objective of the group is to conduct conferences on these two paavais,distribute free to school children books on this paavais, conduct test for them in these and award prizes in them. /5

Those who left Gayathri japam for three generations cease to be Brahmins. Then the street where they live cannot be an agraharam.Same way if yagnas were not performed for three generations they are dhur brahmins, 1/5

de generated brahmins . Though degenerated still the label of Brahmin sticks to them. There are prayaschithams available to regain the status of Brahmin. But if Gayatri japam is given up by three generations then he completely looses the status of Brahmin. He again cannot 2/5

become a Brahmin .He is just a Brahmana Bandhu. That is having Brahmins as relatives .Same way Kshatriya gives up Gayathri japam he becomes Kshatriya _Bandhu.Vysyas becomes Vysya Bandhu.Hence the spark of Gayatri must be developed into a fire .Even though spark by itself 3/5

When a person does a job wholeheartedly, we say that the person does the activity holding his breath. As a matter of fact argayam to be offered holding one's breath.If we do this everyday all evil forces will be 1/4

destroyed. To do this first we should hold the breath. That is we need to control the breath. Nowadays all we do is, to just hold our nose with our fingers .Shastra says instead of nearly holding the nose, control the vital breath itself .Pranayama means controlling the 2/4

breath. Mind must be very focused in whatever one does. To do asthra prayogam of water also ,mind must be focused. That is why breath is to be controlled .One can ask how is that if breathing is controlled ,mind will be still ? We see when the mind is still the breath also 3/4

stops. Then we breathe fast compensating the breath lost. Therefore like how when the mind is still ,breath stops same way when breath stops mind will be very focused. That is the reason why the breath is to be controlled through Pranayamam before argiyam is given. 4/4

Meaning of samskara:
After Pralayam unification will happen. Hence efforts to be made to reach there .The sages have laid down forty samskaras and 8 athma gunas for this purpose. When it is said as athma guna and purifying atma through 1/5

Samskaras, it refers to the jivatma as called by dwaithis where jivatma appears to be different than paramatma .ln reality there is only one atma. There is no different atma like jivatma and paramatma .This atma is ever pure .Hence it is wrong to say being purified by 2/5

Samskaras. Atma is nirguna. Therefore calling atma Guna is also wrong. But in reality that nirguna along with Maya has prevented us from knowing that we are that nirguna only . Hence here when atma is referred ,it refers to the jivan as seen by the dualistic principle. 3/5

That atma is impure only . Hence by using Samskaras this has to be purified .This has all dhurgunas. Hence by practicing 8 athma gunas this atma need to be made purified.Once we succeed in this there will be neither any samskaras nor Gunas. There will be an experience of 4/5

self without any difference between jivatma and paramatma. To attain that status only now all the samskaras and the 8 gunas are needed. 5/5

It is not possible for all to become Sanyasi in this world .The sastras extol Grahasthashramam as the backbone of the society since they are expected to live as per Dharma and fulfill the needs of the 1/

brahmachari and Sanyasi. After completing Once brahmacharyam by acquiring and learning good qualities one must marry to perform karm anushtanams. Marriage is included among the Forty samskaras meaning it is also a sacred rite in purifying the Jivan. Just as upanayanam is 2/4

preliminary step in brahmacharyam, marriage is a preliminary step in Grahasthashramam in disciplining the senses and the basis for performing various dharmic duties. Not only practicing worldly matters as per the Dharma, the sastras of grahasthasramam is done in such a 3/

that desire of kama is also fulfilled as per Dharma. Dharma means not exceeding anything but controlling it as per the limit is'not? Same way controlling once sensual pleasure and fulfilling once desire through marriage is known as practicing Dharma in kama. 4/4

Ancient India had the Gurukulas and Ashramas as the epicentres of the knowledge and enlightenment. Bigger Gurukulas served as the centres of higher education called universities. Besides these universities, temples also emerged as the major learning centres.

Studying the Holy Scriptures, character building, personality development, responsibilities towards self,family and society,discipline and preservation of the ancient culture and heritage were the key embodiments of education.

This kind of education system made ancient India, a centre of knowledge all over the world. Many foreign students came to India for education and India was called the 'Vishwaguru'.
Takshshila and Nalanda were the two prominent universities of ancient India.

But were these only Universities of ancient India?The answer is 'No'.Let's learn about these gems of our education system that flourished across ancient India & be proud.

Starting my 2nd thread on Sringeri Parampara. This will cover the Jagadgurus after Sri Vidyaranya to Sri Shivabhinava Nrisimha Bharati.

It is really very tough to match the brilliance and achievements of Vidyaranya. After whom came 15 - Chandrashekara Bharati [1386-1389].

The next Acharya was Nrisimha Bharati [1389-1408]. Harihara raya found a town for this Acharya - Narasimhapuram. Acharya helped the king by guiding him in political affairs. He also initiated the kind with mahamantras for spiritual development.

Subsequent Acharyas were
15-Puroshottama Bharati [1408 - 1448]
16-Shankara Bharati[1448 - 1455]
17-Chandrasekhara Bharati II [1455 - 1464]
18- Nrisimha Bharati II [1464 - 1479]
19-Puroshottama Bharati II [1479 - 1517]

20-Ramachandra Bharati [1517 - 1560]. Sadashiva Raya was emporer of Vijayanagara during this time.
21-Nrisimha Bharati III [1560 - 1573]
22-Nrisimha Bharati IV [1573 - 1576]
23-Nrisimha Bharati V [1576 - 1600]

24-Abhinava Nrisimha Bharati [1600-1623]. When he visited Malahanikareswara temple for first time he noticed there was no Vinayaka there so he took piece of turmeric and drew outline of Ganesha on a pillar and offered puja.

On the day of Amavasya, devotees get the darshan of Shyam Baba in Shyam varan (black color). In ordinary days, the form of Baba is saffron. The reason for this is a custom. The real head of Shyam Baba which had appeared from Shyam Kund is of Shyam varan.

Every day Shyam Baba's grand Shringar is done by Pujaris. The main part of Shyam Baba's shringar is Tilak. This Shringar is done by the members of Nij Mandir sevaks. The sevaks of the Nij Mandir do sandalwood tilak to Baba everyday in the auspicious time.

This Divine Tilak is applied from the forehead to the nose. When Baba is given a bath by sevaks, this tilak comes off. Then in the auspicious time, the sevaks again apply tilak to Baba.

There is no auspicious time on the Amavasya. Because of this, tilak is not done on that day. That's why devotees have darshan of Shyam Baba on the Amavasya only in the actual real form (Shyam Swaroop). Baba's tilak is done on Amavasya only on the day of Deepawali.

Oh, that’s another thing. When CueCat was a thing, its systems were hacked. I guess that’s what makes Jovan a security expert. His bankrupt company from 20 years ago was hacked and widely mocked. He’s a genius.

Sri Gurubhyo Namaha.

After the phenomenon called Sri Chandrasekhara Bharati came another one - Sri Abhinava Vidya Teertha [1954-1989] the 35th Jagadguru. Srinivasa was born on Nov 13, 1917. He was initiated into Sanyasa by Sri Chandrasekhara Bharati in 1931. He was Jagadguru for 35 years.

He was chosen and specifically trained to take over Peetadhipatyam from Sri Mahaswami. He is majorly responsible for the way Sringeri currently is. He built various buildings for devotees, Gajashala, Gooshala etc.

Acharya on conversions:
Once a person approached Sri Acharya that some other religions are trying to convert Hindus and requested Sri AVT to do prevent these conversions.

AVT replied - what do u mean by religion? Religion i.e. mata is related to 'mati' or intellect.
Caste is called 'jAti' which is related to janana or birth.
Ex- breed of a cow. we cannot change its qualities to resemble another breed by changing its name.
