As we think #FreeHinduTemples is not just the issue. The Temple Problems are Multi Level & Multi Fold. Mainly the way they are preserved, renovated & cared.

1. These 1000 yrs old Ashapuri Temples built by Pratiharas & Paramars are yet to be renovated.
2. The mutilated Murtis from this temple complex lie in utterly neglected state in a small compound few Kms away. Look at the condition of Murtis @wiavastukala
3. The heliodorus Pillar Complex is the one of the oldest recorded proof of Vishnu Worship & His Temple. This is the condition it is in. Are we Hindus ready to proudly reclaim this?. Imagine the places like Gobekli Tepe & how they are cared by western societies.
4. One of the Grandest temple in Madhya Bharath - Vijaya Mandal is yet to see its day, this is just the Base of temple. Imagine in its fullest. Cant we do anything about it?
5. Look of the front view of Viajaya Mandal temple (Locally known as Bijamandal Mosque). This is all that we could have. This is the Grandest temple of Madhya Bharath.
6. The elements are waiting eagerly for decades in the campus to be added to the temple, which may not happen any soon.
7. Vidisha museum hoards some of the best Master pieces of Hindu Murtis. Some in Dark rooms, Some in the open, thrown carelessly, once these Murtis were worshipped with utmost divinity.
8. Athkhambi (8 Pilllared Mandapa) Temple near Vidisha is the only left over part of the 1000 Year old Grand Shiva Temple. Today it is Encroached & is suffocating. Unless searched, this would never be visible to passersby.
9. Though enough elements are present to resurrect the Vishnu Temple of Hindola Toran Complex, they lie as is for centuries.
10. Maladevi Temple collapsed from inside. In the generation of "Inter-Planetary Travels", our experts are not able to renovate the temple and restore the lost glory. They only say "Only God Can Solve the Maladevi Puzzle". Seriously?
11. Have a look at how Bajramath (Vajramath) Temple is. Compare it with the restoration works of buildings around the Delhi.
12. One of the best preserved Temples in Madhya Bharath, even after multiple attacks, is the Udaipur, Udayeswar Temple. Accessing this temple by road is next to impossible. Encroached, Congested & Neglected.
13. Pathari Jain Temples are so delicate that, they may fall any time due to Stone Quarry work going on Just 100 Kms away. Even after repeated complaints, there is no response - You can understand who is involved in the Quarry work.
14. Gadarmal Temple is as is the day it was ransacked. nothing has changed.
15. One of the Parivara shrine of Shrine of Gadarmal Looks like this. what do you think, for how many days this is gonna be like this? Will they ever become complete and its God sits Inside?
16. One of the Oldest Complex of Vishnu with Largest Varaha Murti in the World is in shambles. They are still without proper over head cover. Is there any rule/law that only if ancient elements are found only then the temple would be resurrected? otherwise will be left to god?
17. Pancha Pandava Complex of Mahabalipuram itself is the greatest example of how, our temples have become tourist spots. The Visitors in the complex have zero regard for what's built in granite some 1500 yrs ago by pallavas. With shoes they climb wherever they wish.
18. The Controversial Siddhpur Rudra Mahalaya is yet to see its Dawn. Why?
19. While the tombs are preserved using foreign technology and the process is done with utmost care and documentation teaching to students, the Bishnupur Temples are Smiling at us.
20. One of the worst renovation till date is this Harshat Mata Temple of Abhaneri. The magnificent "MahaMeru Shikhara is adjusted to an Ugly Dome.
21. What are we waiting for? Waiting to see its total fall so that we are relieved that one structure is less to be preserved. Kakanmath Temple, Gwalior.
22. Around 100 Temples are rebuilt and 100 more are to be resurrected. its been a decade, the scaffhold is rusting but the Batesar will never be complete mark my words.

Rishi Kanada was born around 600 BCE in Dwarka, Gujarat and he was the son of a philosopher named Ulka. He was fascinated with the minute detailing of the things right from his childhood. Once, when he was very young, he accompanied his father on a journey to Prayaga.


He saw plentiful grains scattered along the path leading to the shore of river Ganga. It's a tradition in Hindu families to scatter the grains for the ants and birds to feed on them. Suddenly, an ant caught his attention, who was feeding on a rice grain.


He was mesmerised by this very fact that how a small grain of rice becomes food for the ant but to satisfy the hunger of a person so many grains are needed together. This incidence made him realize the importance of a single grain of rice.

On the day of Amavasya, devotees get the darshan of Shyam Baba in Shyam varan (black color). In ordinary days, the form of Baba is saffron. The reason for this is a custom. The real head of Shyam Baba which had appeared from Shyam Kund is of Shyam varan.


Every day Shyam Baba's grand Shringar is done by Pujaris. The main part of Shyam Baba's shringar is Tilak. This Shringar is done by the members of Nij Mandir sevaks. The sevaks of the Nij Mandir do sandalwood tilak to Baba everyday in the auspicious time.


This Divine Tilak is applied from the forehead to the nose. When Baba is given a bath by sevaks, this tilak comes off. Then in the auspicious time, the sevaks again apply tilak to Baba.


There is no auspicious time on the Amavasya. Because of this, tilak is not done on that day. That's why devotees have darshan of Shyam Baba on the Amavasya only in the actual real form (Shyam Swaroop). Baba's tilak is done on Amavasya only on the day of Deepawali.

In the last couple of days Russian propaganda has published a lot of content alleging that Poland staged provocations against the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. The content in question has employed narratives in use by the Kremlin in its influence activities against Poland. 1/6

Pattern no. 1
Articles posted to Russian websites pick up false accusations against the Poles. These include bogus claims that Poland sabotaged the construction site of the Russia-to-Germany gas link and carried out a direct attack on the pipeline. 2/6


Pattern no. 2
Some of the articles warn that the Kremlin may take retaliatory actions against Poland. Based on false accusations thrown by Russia, the Kremlin’s propaganda amplifies the calls by some journalists and contributors to embark on aggressive activities against PL. 3/6


Pattern no. 3
The Russian media outlets publish a lot of materials that mock the Polish Navy. The narratives that denigrate this component of the Polish Armed Forces are based on opinions and quotes by single Polish Internet users. 4/6


These information warfare efforts aim to:

- solidify false accusations made against Poland

- threaten the Polish society with a potential response by Russia

While main deity is Shiva as Kapartheeswarar, the kshetram is famous for Ganesha, known as Swetha/Vellai Vinayagar (white Vinayak)

During samudra manthan, Vasuki snake (used as rope) started spewing venom.


Unable to bear the intense heat, Devas rushed to Siva. He told them that this was because the task was started without getting Ganesha’s approval.
So the Devas created a Ganesha murti from white sea foam and worshipped it.
It was later taken by Indra to Indralok.

But once Indra had to come to Earth to pray to Shiva to seek relief from a curse inflicted on him. So he brought the murti of Ganesha with him. When he came here, he wanted to take bath before puja. So he gave the murti to a boy to hold for sometime. The boy was actually Shiva.


He kept the murti down and vanished. Indra could not lift it again and a divine voice told him to let Vinayagar stay there and visit every Ganesh Chaturthi to pray.
Since Vinayagar is made of foam, no abhishekam is done here. Only punugu is applied n camphor powder is sprinkled

Hinduism is a minority religion in Punjab.

During the Khalistan movement, the minority Hindus and Jains were subjected to several attacks. Hindu and Jain temples were frequently vandalized and desecrated. This thread documents a few instances.

Durgiana Mandir is one of the oldest temples of Amritsar. According to the regional Hindu tradition, the temple was built on the spot where Lava and Kusha bound Hanuman. The temple annually attracts millions of Hindus from all over the country.


Amristsar has a very ancient Hindu history.

According to the regional Hindu tradition recorded in the "Survey of Amritsar", Amritsar got its name from Amrit immersed by Lava and Kusha in a pond.


Durgiana Mandir was rebuilt in 1921.

It was used to house the Murtis of Vishnu and Durga which were thrown out from the Parikrama of Harmandir Sahib in 1905.

Because of its presence in Amritsar, it became a frequent target of radicals during the Khalistan movement.


In 1982, in what was a completely unprovoked attack, the Dal Khalsa "activists" threw a severed cow head inside Durgiana temple.

Ok, I'll hop on this Elizabeth Warren/Native American testing bandwagon (gently and non-politically).

I've been a @23andMe customer for a while, and have followed their ancestry updates closely.

All is more or less as expected....except for this bit about Native American.


The family is almost completely composed of Spanish peasants (from various regions) who emigrated, along with a massive wave in the late 19th-cent./early 20th-cent., to Cuba back when it was a booming economy (richer than Spain's) and worth emigrating to (Communism killed that).

Also, the native population of Cuba was annihilated early on---was the first place the Spanish colonized after all. Having a native background in Cuba would be like having the same in, say, Massachusetts, particularly if you're (say) mostly Irish. Just really, really unlikely.

(Note: the North African/Arab background is less mysterious. The Iberian peninsula was part of the Muslim world for centuries. It would be odd *not* to have some Arab/Middle Eastern background coming from Spain. Given the family is mostly from Northern Spain, it's small though.)

I have a Spanish passport, have been back to the ancestral villages in Spain, seen the church where my grandmother was baptized, my grandfather told me stories about growing up as the child of Spanish colonists in rural Cuba. The native bit just clashes with all the family lore.
