A lead magnet is something that you give away for free in exchange for someone to signup to your email list.

People are constantly seeing the same stuff over and over again on their timeline.

This is why you need to learn how to stand out.

When they’re scrolling you need to grab their attention and reel them into something they want to read.

If you think about it, your job is just to get them to click your tweet. Once that’s done, they’ll be reading your other ones in no time.

In order to get them to click you need to show one of these 7 things:

> experience
> value
> lesson
> mystery
> opinion
> numbers

The easiest way to write headlines based off of these things is to write out your audience’s objections.

Then, indirectly counter their objection within your headline (sounds cool right?).

“Why should I read your thread? What have you done that makes me trust you”

Headline:
“$97,840 in Profit This Month Using This 5-Step Plan to Make Landing Pages”

Authority shows people you know what you’re doing by telling them a true stat/claim.

1. Define a Background

For this thread we will be selling Mass Gainer protein shakes to college men that want to gain weight.

Go deep and make a full profile up of one of these people.

You want to include:
> age
> job
> what they do in free time
> what they’re feeling

Example:

Brad is a junior in college (21 years old). He does work during the week and parties on the weekends.

He started going to the gym with his friends but isn’t really seeing results. He’s starting to get frustrated and wants to find a cure to his problems.

2. Define Their Goals and Challenges

When you define these things, you can use them in your copy.

Painting your ideal customer’s pain points throughout your copy is important.

You need to show them that they have a problem, and you can solve.

Example:

Brad is fairly skinny and wants to gain weight fast.

He’s tried eating more but can’t eat enough, or maybe he eats the wrong things.

Whatever it might be, it’s not working and he’s getting frustrated.

Free idea to make a lot of money:

1• Start learning about writing short form copy, at least 30 hours

2• Study how to write the best copy for VSL’s through YouTube

3• Reach out to people with landing pages and offer to create their VSL

Lots of clients, but there’s more...

4• For the first few clients work for free or a low fee ($100)

5• Then become “The VSL Person” on twitter

6• Tweet about how much VSL’s can increase conversions

7• Start charging between $200-$500 for these videos

8• Just write the copy and use

9• Setup a landing page that shows past work, statistics on VSL’s, and case studies for how much the videos helped past clients

10• You should be able to get one client a week (sometimes on autopilot through your landing page)

11• Eventually you can hire out the work and have money made just by having some systems in place

12• You could easily scale this into a VSL agency and start taking on multiple clients, charging more, and having more add-ons
