Ascending triangle is created by price moves that allow for a horizontal line to be drawn along the swing highs and a rising trendline to be drawn along the swing lows.

Horizontal line is the resistance, trendline indicates higher lows, i.e. uptrend.

It is a bullish pattern.

How we trade Ascending Triangle pattern?

We try to find out stock that has this pattern but has not given a breakout above the resistance. That means it is forming higher lows and consolidating near resistance.

We track it before the breakout to capture a big move on breakout.

What does this mean?

Basically, we look out for the charts where price is forming higher lows and consolidating near the resistance.

As seen from the below, chart where price was in consolidation just below the resistance before the breakout and upmove.

Now the most important question is how we trade this pattern?

1. First identify stocks that are forming Ascending Triangle pattern and are about to give a breakout.
2. Stoploss would be the nearest swing low below the current price.

1. Avoid jargon, acronyms, and buzzwords

Know your audience before using Acronym

• Explain technical terms first time they appear

• Don't try to sound clever, be clear instead

• Say what you mean, in plain language, and let the reader decide whether it was "groundbreaking"

2. Use fewer than 30 words per sentence

• Focus on one idea per sentence

• Strip out qualifiers like "I think," "I feel," "should we consider"

• Eliminate anything that reads like "style." Don't use your writing to extend your personal brand

3. Replace adjectives with data

Don't force readers to interpret your meaning

• People don't like buzzwords

• Adjectives are vague and don't add to making decisions

• "Profit increased drastically last quarter" -> " Profit increased by 40% as compared to Q3"

4. Use subject-verb-object sentences

When in doubt, keep things simple:

• Subject: Who or what you're writing about

• Verb: What they did or will do

• Object: Who or what is acted upon

No. of yrs required to double your money at a given rate, U just divide 72 by interest rate
Eg, if you want to know how long it will take to double your money at 8% interest, divide 72 by 8 and get 9 yrs

At 6% rate, it will take
12 yrs
At 9% rate, take
8 yrs

2) Rule of 70

Divide 70 by current inflation rate to know how fast the value of your investment will get reduced to half its present value.

Inflation rate of 7% will reduce the value of your money to half in 10 years.

3) 4% Rule for Financial Freedom

Corpus Reqd = 25 times estimated Annual Expenses.

Say Annual Expense > 50 years is 500,000 then corpus with you required is 1.25 cr.

50% into fixed income & 50% into equity.

Withdraw 4% every yr

This rule works for 96% of time in 30 yr period

4) 100 minus your age rule

This rule is used for asset allocation.

Subtract your age from 100 to find out, how much of your portfolio should be allocated to equities

Age is 30 so (100 - 30 = 70)

Equity : 70%
Debt : 30%

Age is 60 so (100 - 60 = 40)

Equity : 40%
Debt : 60%
