Vijayanagar (1336–1646 AD) was one of the greatest Hindu empires of India. When N.India was enslaved by Islamic savagery, Vijayanagar followed Hindu tradition to empower women with education, property rights, & financial/administrative control.

Inscriptions, historical texts & foreign traveler's accounts describe the women of Vijayanagar as possessing property & financial independence. Many donated property to worthy causes such as temple improvements, civil works & welfare schemes. Others volunteered their services.

Women were educated from a young age to become literate in Sanskrit, Kannada, Telugu, etc.. The great king Krishnadevaraya himself patronized several female writers and poets & encouraged centers of learning. Women authors wrote timeless Kavyas & literature during this era

Young girls were also taught music, dance & painting. This education proved invaluable in preserving & furthering the classical Hindu arts. Auditoriums were designed for female musicians & dancers to practice. Temple dancers were showered with wealth & highly respected.

Women’s education was not limited to the arts; many served as accountants, astronomers, astrologers & chefs. There were female judges, bailiffs, & guards employed for state services. Their power can be gauged by the fact that women also held administrative control.

वर्ण व्यवस्था जन्मना या कर्मणा ?

इस थ्रेड का लक्ष्य वर्णाश्रम व्यवस्थाके संबंध मे किए गए अनर्गल प्रलापों का निराकरण करने तथा धार्मिक एवं सुधि जनों के हृदय मे विद्यमान भ्रांतियों को दूर करने का है।

नोट – पाठको से प्रार्थना है की वे अपने हृदय से सभी पूर्वाग्रहों को

निकाल कर प्रारंभ से ले कर अंत तक इस थ्रेड को पढ़ें यदि पढ़ने के उपरांत कोई शंका हुई तो उसका समाधान समय मिलने पर शास्त्रीय प्रमाणों के द्वारा किया जाएगा।

आज हम इस थ्रेड मे ४ प्रश्नों पर विचार करेंगे यथा –

१.वर्ण व्यवस्था जन्मना होती है या कर्मणा ? शास्त्रीय पक्ष क्या है ?

२.क्या वर्ण और जाती अलग अलग है ?
३.क्या वर्ण एवं जातियों का प्रभेद समाप्त कर सबका हिन्दू हो जाना ठीक है ?
४.क्या हिंदुओं का पतन वर्ण व्यवस्था के कारण हुआ है या हो रहा है ?

इन सभी प्रश्नों का निराकरण शास्त्रीय पक्षों एवं तर्कों के आधार पर किया जाएगा जिन महानुभावो को कष्ट या

आपत्ति हो वो गाल बजाने अर्थात कुतर्क करने की अपेक्षा शास्त्रीय पक्ष के द्वारा पूर्वपक्ष करने मे स्वतंत्र हैं उसका समुचित उत्तर समय मिलने पर दिया जाएगा । अमर्यादित टिप्पणी करने पर सीधा ब्लॉक किये जाएंगे अतः सावधान रहें -

अब हम अपने विषय पर आते हैं, हमारा पहला प्रश्न ये है की -

उत्तर - आए दिन हम “वर्णव्यवस्था जन्मना या कर्मणा” इस चर्चा को देखते रहते हैं इस चर्चा मे पूर्वाग्रह से ग्रसित कुछ तथाकथित बुद्धिजीवी पुराणेतिहास, स्मृति, गीता आदि आर्ष ग्रंथों के किसी एक श्लोक अथवा वचन को उठा

The biggest contribution of Bharatiya Vaidika Arya Hindu Culture to the entire world in terms of Upasana is the Tantrika concept of 'Devo bhootva devam yajet', which has inspired Sufis Christianity etc. The concept is present in code form in the Vedas but expanded thru Tantras. +

Modern historians and indologists includi hindu ones like to attribute diff type of evolution in the shaastras, some of it is true, sm of it is enforced. Before understanding this uniqje and revolutionary concept, rmv d mindset that Yoga Upasana etc came into Vedas thru Tantra.

Also ppl lIke Winternitz confined the word Tantra only to the Shalta school, which also is a huge blunder and the modern understanding of this word has become limited to magicstuff. Which also isn't true. So by tantra i mean the Aagamas, vaishnava shaiva shakta Saura skaanda etc.

Coming to the concept, 'devo bhutva devam yajet' means 'worship the deva by yourself becoming a deva'. This can be seen why Vaishnavas first cleanse and purify themselves, they invoke the dvinity in self first. Then also add 12 tilakas on 12 places. +

Just like Vishnu, they wear the shankha chakra also. Only a divine being can worship ajd establish union with the divinity. This is a very advanced understanding what most indologists and academicians fail to shed light upon, they're only focused on enforcing liberalism. +
