THREAD: It’s #ImpeachmentDay and I’ve got money on my mind.

We learned yesterday that Trump’s largest lender, Deutsche Bank, is done doing business with him.

Before he took office, no U.S. major bank was willing to do business with him.

 And in the last 48 hours, we’ve seen scores of major companies respond to last week’s riots & the refusal to certify the free & fair election (all fueled by Trump himself), cut off political donations, and some terminating business/payment processing for the Trump Campaign.
The PGA cancelling the upcoming championship at Trump Bedminster was another major blow to Trump’s bottom line & brand.

None of this would have happened if Trump was simply ending his term like any normal President.
Two weeks ago he was considered the Replican party “king maker” whose influence would be looming for the foreseeable future.

Last Wednesday changed everything and that’s part of what this impeachment hearing is all about.
Unlike the first impeachment which was Republicans vs Democrats, Trump is in his own lane- along with some lawmakers who pushed misinformation, tried to block certification and welcomed the “Stop The Steal” movement to DC.
That group of lawmakers is shrinking and those still standing on the side of Trump are losing money and power.

It’s been reported Mitch McConnell has not spoken with Trump, has no intention to & we know of several Republicans who plan to vote to impeach.
President Trump has always banked on the “value of the Trump brand” and all of the above is DEVASTATING to the value of that brand.

If he is impeached, that value will plummet even further and that means MONEY - money Trump needs.
Over the last 4yrs we’ve seen the RNC, corporations, industry advocacy groups, foreign governments, lobbyists, wealthy individuals...all looking to curry favors from this administration...
...spending millions of dollars at Trump properties: conferences, events, long term pricey room bookings, new memberships to Mar-A-Lago at inflated rates. And of course, the millions of dollars the U.S. government has paid Trump properties while he stayed at them.
Some of that would naturally go away when he left office, but it will be decimated if he is impeached.

During his last impeachment hearing, there was enough lack of information for Trump’s “big money backers” to look the other way.

But not this time.
As the days pass, more videos, more reporting...more ties between the riots and Trump himself surface.

His hard core base stormed the Capitol and now many are WANTED by the FBI.

The businesses he hooked up with the biggest tax cut in history have made it clear, they are OUT.
And when was the last time we heard from his big money fans?

4 years ago today, Tom Barrack was preparing to host the inauguration, 1 week before the election Tom hosted a $150k per head lunch in honor of Ivanka.

Is he out defending Trump today? SILENCE
And where has Mnuchin and Kushner been while all of this was happening?
Steve was headed to the Middle East.
Jared was coming home.
Doing what EXACTLY? Still unclear.
It’s well-known they want to shore up overseas relationships so they can raise $ for their post-admin investing goals.

Their appeal to foreign $ will be crushed if their calling cards read “advisor to/cabinet member of impeached president who incited riots on the US Capitol.”
One large Trump backer close to Mnuchin told me last night that Steve is deflated and angry that he stuck with Trump this long and has destroyed so much in just a week. He sees this as significantly worse that the first impeachment.
When he loses the “value of his political brand” which impeachment guarantees, he’s left with businesses in leisure and hospitality. None were thriving before he took office. COVID has crushed those industries and the events leading to this hearing has further damaged his brand.
WHY DOES THIS MATTER SO MUCH?

Because Trump did something almost NO business person does.
He PERSONALLY guaranteed all the money he owes Deutsche Bank.
That means unless President Trump pays up (and how will he?), Deutsche Bank can take possession of all of his personal assets: Trump Tower, Trump Hotel in DC, Mar-a-Lago etc....
After welcoming rioters, Ivanka won’t be getting her clothing line back in stores, and won’t be scoring coveted licenses from China after a dinner with Xi-Jin-Ping.

All of the above has many in the business community especially worried about the week ahead.
President Trump has an enormous amount of access to information and still has power.

He owes hundreds of millions of dollars...
...I spoke to a former administration official last night and a bank CEO...both had the same takeaway.

“Trump is in a desperate political and financial situation. He can’t solve the political one. What would he be willing to do/give up to solve the financial one?”

My account in @thewire_in of meeting Muskan and Rashid, victims of a series of violent acts by the Bajrang Dal, and by a range of UP government authorities including the police, shelter home and hospital.

Advised by @SartajAlamIndia Muskan was taken to Bijnor, where she got an ultrasound done at a private clinic. The report shows that there are “retained products of conception” (foetal matter left over after a miscarriage or abortion) in her uterus.

The hospital denies causing Muskan to miscarry – but their denial rings false. They declared no miscarriage had occurred – which is now proven to be a lie. Most shockingly, in actions that befit a Mengele, they did not prescribe any antibiotics to Muskan after the miscarriage.

See how calm, confident Muskan is in the face of Bajrang Dal thugs: asked on camera if her father or “guardian” has given her permission to marry Rashid, she replies, “I am an adult, I am 22, I have married him of my own choice five months ago.”

Muskan told me: “I am an adult, know my own mind, was living on my own when I met Rashid. I knew he was Muslim. We loved each other. I converted to Islam of my own accord, & we married. My mother does not know him, she has just parroted whatever the Bajrang Dal men asked her to.”

There is nothing wrong w/wanting to see black people in love together in power. It's a beautiful sight, but what of Harris? If the Obama's marriage communicated to black people the power of black love in power, what does Kamala Harris' marriage to a white man communicate?

That black men are expendable & that 2 rise in a white world, black men are baggage that U need 2 discard. Think I'm off kilter w/this? Consider the fact that many black women in powerful positions either say little of or attribute little of their success 2 their black fathers.

At least six people providing security for Roger Stone participated in the Capitol attack, our new Visual Investigation shows. Here's how the guards (all Oath Keepers) went from guarding Trump's longtime confidant to standing inside the Capitol on Jan. 6:

Mr. Stone, a convicted felon who was pardoned by Mr. Trump, has a long history as a self-proclaimed “dirty trickster” political operative. On Jan. 5 and 6, Oath Keepers provided security for him, something he himself confirmed.

We combed through hundreds of videos and photos and drew on research from @CTExposers to visually identify Mr. Stone's guards on Jan. 5 and 6. — from that group, these six entered the Capitol during the insurrection.


Here's how. On Jan. 5, Mr. Stone made two public appearances in D.C. in support of Mr. Trump’s baseless claims of election fraud. In the afternoon, he spoke in front of the Supreme Court. Five of the six Oath Keepers we’re tracking can be seen in this video.


The Oath Keepers are a far-right, anti-government militia — and there's plenty of footage to visually identify them around Mr. Stone on Jan. 5 and 6. Here's another video from that same event in front of the Supreme Court.

Me : They’re also good for measuring and managing capital flow, making investment decisions, removing bias and getting rid of duplication.
X : I don’t see how that helps with innovation?


Me : Well, innovation is a tricky word because we use it to describe many things. If you’re talking about differentiation with the adjacent unexplored then you’re experimenting in the “uncharted” space e.g. immortality with magic provided by the special custom built kettle.


X : That sounds like nonsense.
Me : A lot of what people think will be the next great innovation is nonsense. Actually, most of it is. That’s the nature of the uncharted space, it’s experimental, high risk and generally results in failure.

A relationship begins to get stiff when excessive patterns begin to form.

Too many patterns leads to a boring, predictable, logical lifestyle.

Get the emotions involved.

Do something spontaneous out of the blue moon & flip the script.

'What's wrong with the patterns?'

Nothing is wrong with patterns.

However, there is a problem when all you have are patterns.

It's boring.

'Can you explain why?'

The thing with relationships is that it's meant to be an emotional experience.

It's very difficult to logically explain love, right?

'Right.'

Well this is where you want to steer the ship the right way.

1. Too emotional is bad.

2. Too logical is bad.

Let me break it down.

1. Too emotional

If a relationship is completely ruled by emotions, then it's too volatile.

You will never reach productivity if you are aimlessly only following each others emotions.

This lifestyle tarnishes any structure for the couple.

'So why do people do it?'

Because it's fun.

You may ruled by this stage in the honeymoon phase.

Normal.

You'll be so spontaneous that it almost becomes a lifestyle.

But it's hard to level up your life when you're too spontaneous.

Avoid.

ADI SHANKAR AND SRI TOTAKACHARYA

Adi Shankaracharya chose his disciple Totakacharya to be the first head of the Math at Joshimath.
The Narsingh Mandir (Mandir of Sri Narasimha) in Joshimath is one of the 108 Divyadesams and also the home of Badrinath during the winter months.


Totakacharya was earlier a boy named ‘Giri’ and a devout disciple of Adi Shankaracharya. Unlike others, he was not known to be an expert in Shastras but his dedication to his Guru was complete and he used to listen to His discourses with utmost faith and devotion.

One morning as Adi Shankara and his disciples were getting ready for the discourse, Giri was delayed. The other disciples urged their Guru to commence the lesson on Bramhsutra Bhashya telling him that Giri would anyway not be able to comprehend its deep meaning.

Adi Shankar responded “नायमात्मा प्रवचनेन लभ्यो न मेधया” – Atman cannot be attained through discourses or mere intellect.
He,then, awakened the supreme knowledge in Giri.
Giri spontaneously composed: श्री शङ्करदेशिकाष्टकम् extolling his Guru’s grace.


Adi Shankaracharya granted sanyasa to Giri and gave him the name Totakacharya.
The story of how Giri became Totakacharya is a great example of the importance of faith and devotion in your Guru and not the mere knowledge of the Shastras.
