“Thiel has kept quiet his plans for American democracy but most analysts expect him to focus on fascism, rolling back rights, ending financial oversight of the rich, and undermining free speech. He will likely install disgraced former celebrity Donald Trump as symbolic CEO.”

“While some on the left accuse him and his competitors of “unethical behavior” and privately worry about what he will do after buying the government experts insist his actions are perfectly legal. Thiel had no comment.”

-what is media? It’s really anything out there: TV, papers, mags, internet. This is an extremely general term. Do not use it, unless you specify which medium. Particularly if you are unhappy with this medium. When you use media in a derogatory manner, you hurt *all* media.

-what is MSM? Who the hell knows. Especially in today’s digital age. Propagandists love using and abusing this term. Be wary of it. See above. Skip usage.

-what is the Press? Someone who reports for a newspaper or magazine. This term gets used in a generalized way, and includes mediums which are NOT journalistic in nature. For example: Press pass. More than news orgs get these. Try to avoid using Press.

-what is news? News is journalism! Journalists, or the Press, have the highest standards of ethics. Freedom of the press is defined as a right guaranteed in the United States by the first amendment for journalists to print whatever they want without government control.

the "late-term abortion" rhetoric is and has always been stupid, intentionally misleading bullshit, but especially now for me. i work at a cemetery with a crematory, and we do cremations no charge for anyone cremating a stillbirth, nonviable pregnancy, or medical termination

we do a lot of them because, again, we do them for free, because these people are suffering enough already. and i can tell you, the parents of a baby that they had to terminate at 35 weeks aren't doing it because of laziness or convenience or immorality

sometimes they come in with full names, bc they were wanted and loved and something unimaginably terrible happened instead. sometimes they come in with just the first name of "Baby" or "Infant", bc their parents thought they would have plenty of time for that. and didn't.

i'm sorry if this thread is upsetting to anyone. but it's the reality, and it's my reality. when you lose an unborn child or have to terminate a pregnancy, i'm one of the people that gets the paperwork, the letters of notification from the hospital, the authorizations and permits

they list the age of gestation, the weight and size and the dates of the most horrible thing that has ever happened to the woman whose signature is at the bottom of the page. and every time I do this, I soak up a little bit of grief for them, and every few weeks I go home and cry

Maharani Bhavani was very pious in her personal life. She passed her life in a strict disciplined way.

She conducted the administrative work skillfully. As a Maharani she was an impartial judge. Rani Bhavani had a very hard time during the fag end of her life. The Zamindari (estate) incurred serious loss due to the change of the revenue policy of the company.

In spite of being the owner of a large Zamindari (estate), she had to depend on the stipend of the government in the later part of her life. The amount of this stipend gradually decreased and became Rs. 1000/- only in the end.
