On Holocaust Memorial Day we remember the 6 million Jews and millions of Slavs, Roma, Communists, Disabled people, Queer people, Afro-Germans, and many others killed by Nazis and their collaborators (Thread)

 Year after Year we say “never again” to honor the memory of those who were murdered and prevent another genocide, but historical memory is a fickle thing which was long ago murdered too and there is very little interest for honoring the truth
There is this version of the Holocaust that ppl want to maintain-that it was solely a German genocide built out of blame of Jews for economic conditions after WWI and all the nazis who did it are dead and no one living has any culpability
It does not play down the Holocaust at all to say that it cannot and must not be treated as unique and independent within the history of the world, and in fact to properly understand it we must understand it within the history of other colonial projects
People don’t want to understand the true conditions and the historical basis from which the Holocaust was perpetuated and from which many genocides since have been built from.
Bc if they did they would realise the only way to end them would be the complete destruction of the capitalist, imperialist, white supremacist structures which dominate society
They don’t want to understand that the Holocaust was both born out of relations of the Jew to an inherently Christian Europe, and from Western colonial and imperial projects spanning centuries
The Holocaust was a product of Christian supersessionism, false accusations of deicide, the Crusades, blood libel, forced conversions, massacres during the Black Plague, the Spanish Inquisition, the ghettoization of Jews, being forced into moneylending, expulsion after expulsion
It was a product of Khmelnytsky, the Pale of Settlement, the cantonist system, a culture of conspiracism where Jews are viewed as having inherent control over world affairs, the
Protocols of the Elders of Zion, Dreyfus, the 1880-1920 pogroms where 250,000+ Jews were killed
It is a product of the countries who soon essentially banned Jews from entering entirely
It was the product of a Europe that always viewed its Jewish population as suspect and one whose presence, whose humanity, whose life, was always viewed as an open question and viewed as inherently disposable
It was also a product of a Hitler who drew inspiration from the settler colonialism and genocide of the Americas, who declared in his pursuit of Lebensraum that “the Volga will be our Mississippi” of Nazis who took inspiration from Jim Crow in their Nuremberg Laws
Who took inspiration of the use of concentration camps from the Spanish in Cuba, the British, and Germany’s own genocide of the Herero and Nama ppl in Namibia, who took inspiration from the fact that the US and the UK had already essentially banned Jews
And time and time again when the world met to discuss allowing more Jews in, nearly every single country rejected it, with a large majority of the US and the UK public opposing it and supporting Nazi movements within their own countries
The US government and many congresspeople openly allying with Nazis, FDR not telling US soldiers about the Holocaust because he knew they wouldn’t want to fight a “Jew war”, Churchill not protecting the East End getting bombed when he knew many working class Jews lived there
And what did it all lead to-the liberal solution to the Jewish Question had already been to remove Jews from Europe-and that’s exactly what they were able to do with Israel- and Zionists who had been all too willing to collaborate with Nazis in signing the Haavara Agreement
A Europe where pogroms had been occurring after the Holocaust and who was able to export their Nazis to Western governments who were more than happy to take them in and participate in anti-Communist efforts/colonial projects
Palestine forced to pay for Europe’s crimes and Jews who had seemingly learned nothing from their own experiences were willing to colonize and plunder and mass murder just like the US settler colonial project and were willing to use the Holocaust to justify their genocide
Today, we know antisemitism is on the rise and it's because of how antisemitism is so fundamentally intertwined with white supremacy and the tropes and stereotypes which led to the Holocaust were not only never properly defeated, there was never any desire to defeat them
There is an attempt to rewrite history, ignoring centuries of antisemitism when it comes to Ukraine’s collaborationist past, the pogromists of the Russian Empire, banning books about the Holocaust, claiming Jews are controlling the queer agenda and Soros controls everything
All while the Zionist settler colonial state continues to abuse the memory of Holocaust victims (many of whom were antizionists) to justify their daily massacres of Palestinians, all with western backing and with their defense system which was financed by German reparations
Over a third of Holocaust survivors today live in poverty, all the while Poland continues to restrict land claims and Germany cruelly tries to claim a monopoly on Holocaust education while maintaining the aryanization of businesses that was implemented during the Holocaust
So let us be vigilant and fight for a more just world and an end to the colonial white supremacist capitalist system which continues to harm us all

And may the memories of all Holocaust victims forever be a blessing

Funny, before the election I recall lefties muttering the caravan must have been a Trump setup because it made the open borders crowd look so bad. Why would the pro-migrant crowd engineer a crisis that played into Trump's hands? THIS is why. THESE are the "optics" they wanted.


This media manipulation effort was inspired by the success of the "kids in cages" freakout, a 100% Stalinist propaganda drive that required people to forget about Obama putting migrant children in cells. It worked, so now they want pics of Trump "gassing children on the border."

There's a heavy air of Pallywood around the whole thing as well. If the Palestinians can stage huge theatrical performances of victimhood with the willing cooperation of Western media, why shouldn't the migrant caravan organizers expect the same?

It's business as usual for Anarchy, Inc. - the worldwide shredding of national sovereignty to increase the power of transnational organizations and left-wing ideology. Many in the media are true believers. Others just cannot resist the narrative of "change" and "social justice."

The product sold by Anarchy, Inc. is victimhood. It always boils down to the same formula: once the existing order can be painted as oppressors and children as their victims, chaos wins and order loses. Look at the lefties shrieking in unison about "Trump gassing children" today.

There was an Asura, Kaumasura, who was doing penance to please Shiva and get a boon. To prevent him from asking for a boon, Devi Saraswati made him dumb (hence called Mookasur)
Later, Adi Parashakti slayed him and came to be called Mookambika.


It is said that Adi Shankaracharya had a vision in which Devi agreed to follow him provided he did not look back. He kept walking and was assured of her presence due to the sound of anklets. When he reached here in Kollur, he turned back as the sound of anklets had stopped.


So Devi stayed here and merged with the lingam. The place came to be called Mookambika Kshetram.
The linga has integrated on it’s left side MahaKali, Maha Lakshmi and Maha Saraswathi and on the right side- Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.

THREAD: Meditations on marriage metaphors in Ruth

The book of Ruth is, of course, a story about a beautiful marriage. But even before the courtship and the wedding and the important genealogy at the end, we find interesting language that is strikingly reminiscent of Genesis 2:24


That important verse reads:

'Therefore a man shall leave [יַֽעֲזָב] his father and his mother and hold fast [וְדָבַ֣ק] to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.'

The verb עזב can be quite strong in force. For example, Joseph leaves behind [וַיַּעֲזֹ֤ב] his garment as he flees from Pharaoh's wife's sexual advances. Countless times, Israel is depicted abandoning the LORD, for example in Judg 2:12 [וַיַּעַזְב֞וּ], and going after other gods.

Likewise, the verb דבק is rather striking. Lot is mortified of disaster overtaking him [תִּדְבָּקַ֥נִי] as he flees from Sodom. Israel is commanded in Deut 10:20 to cling fast [תִדְבָּ֔ק] to the LORD and serve him and swear by his name.

Together they illustrate how radical God designed marriage to be. Marriage is a real severing of family relations in order to form a new, permanent bond with another human being.

Something very similar to this takes places in Ruth's life.
