Battle of Sarangpur,
Between Rana Kumbha and Mahmud Khilji.
Rana Ji was the son of Rana Mokal Singh by his wife, Sobhagya Devi.
He was the 48th Rana of Mewar and succeeded Rana Mokal Singh in the year 1433 CE as the ruler of Mewar.

One of the assasionator of Rana Kumbha's father, Mahpa Panwar was given shelter by Mahumud Khilji, who was the sultan of Mandu.
Rana Ji demanded Mahpa Panwar from Mahmud Khilji, but he refused.
This was the main reason for Rana Kumbha to attack Mandu.

In 1437 AD, both the army met at Sarangpur, in which the army of Rana Kumbha crushed the army of Mahmud Khilji, after this defeat Khilji's army fled in all the direction.
Rana Ji captured Kjilji and brought him to Chittorgarh where he was kept in jail for 6 months.

To commemorate this victory Rana Kumbha built the great Vijay stambha in Chittorgarh.

🙏Tetanus and Its cure🙏
Tetanus is caused by a bacteria called Clostridium tetani.
The bacteria is everywhere in environment and usually found in soil, dust and manure and its spores enters the body through breaks in the skin usually cuts or wounds caused by unclean objects.

●Symptoms of Tetanus
•The most common symptoms is the contraction of Jaw also called Jawlock
•Suddenly musscle cramping in stomach.

•Painfull Muscle stiffness over the body.
• Fever or Sweating
•Sudden change in Blood pressure.

●Complications of Tetanus
• Your Vocal cord will get tighten
•With a severe tetanus your bones can get fractured automatically.
•Blockage of the main artery of the lung or one of its branches.
•Breathing Difficulties

●Opisthotonus in Tetanus Patient.
Opisthotonus is a type of abnormal posture where the back becomes extremely arched due to muscle contractions. This is a severe condition of Tetanus.
It can be a feature of severe acute hydrocephalus, poisoning, and drowning.

💠Ayurveda and Surgery.
🔶️In Sushruta Samhita written by Sushruta(~600 BCE),detailed explanations of surgical instruments, different types of incisions, different suturing and bandaging techniques, fracture reductions, techniques of foreign body

extraction and surgical management of obstructed labour are found. The original textbook written by Sushruta was later redacted by Nagarjuna(400-500 CE) and was amended by Chandrata thereafter(10th century CE).Banaras happened to be the place where Sushruta practiced surgery.

He described the extracapsular surgical technique of cataract extraction using a sharply pointed instrument. This is one of the earliest documented surgical approaches to treat cataract.
His technique of reconstruction surgery was used among Vaidyas even during the colonial rule.

🔸️A case report of a Vaidya using forehead flap to reconstruct the nose was published as a letter to the editor in the Gentleman’s Magazine in 1794. This in fact made western world aware of this technique.

🔶️Recent history of surgical practice by Ayurveda. While practice of Ayurveda medicine continued uninterruptedly, the surgical practice came to a standstill due to multitude of reasons including the advent of Buddhist philosophy and social prejudice against surgery.

Ayurveda and Vitiligo🙏🏻
Vitiligo is a skin whitening disease, It is a gradual loss of "Melanin" pigment from the skin layers
resulting white patches on the surface of skin. Vitiligo is a autoimmune disorder.
It usually starts with a small spot that later spreads into patches.

Due to the loss of pigment from the skin, the patches become whiter and each patch merge one another creating a broad patch. In some cases it spreads all over the body.
Vitiligo generally appears due to inactivity of melanocytes
cells which stop melanin production

It is also related to autoimmunity where body’s protective mechanism starts to destroy its own cells.

💠Physiology of Melanin Pigment.
In human skin melanin is produced from the amino-acid
named tyrosin by the action of copper-containing enzyme
tyrosinase. This enzyme is present in the melanocytes,
which are located in the basal cell layer.

It transfers its pigment to the keratinising cells of the epidermis by means of their dendrite processes. In vitiligo this pigment is lost along with the keratinised cell during exfoliation of skin.

Ayurveda and Asthma.
🔶️Asthma is a respiratory disease that affects both adults and
children and asthma is today one of the most common chronic
childhood ailments. There is no scientifically proven cure for
asthma but it can be controlled and regulated.

Asthma occurs when inhaled antigens encounter antigen
presenting cells (APC) that lines the airway inflammation.
When IgE activates APC, the naïve T cells get differentiated into TH2 cells which further binds to IgE receptors (present on mast cells).

The later interactions result in release of biologically active mediators either histamine or leukotrienes, which mediates the symptoms of allergy. IL-5 is essential for recruitment of eosinophils which has a major role in pathogenesis of asthma.

The recruitment of eosinophil leads to release of toxic granules further leading of damage of tissue and chronic inflammation.

Asthma is one of the most common chronic diseases globally and currently affects 300 million people worldwide with 250,000 annual deaths attributed to the disease
and is the third-ranking cause of hospitalization among children
under age of 15.

Zika Virus.
Zika Virus spread to people through mosquito bite It is an Arbovirus, arbovirus is the group of virus which are transmitted by the bite of infected insects such as Mosquitoes,
It was first identified in the Zika forest near Kampala, Uganda in rhesus monkey in 1947.

Later it was found in human in 1952 in Uganda.
Zika virus infection during pregnancy also increases the risk of serious birth defects in infants, including a potentially fatal brain condition called microcephaly.

💠Symptoms of this disease.
70 to 80% people infected with this virus have no major symptoms.
Symptoms starts to show up 2 week after the person is bitten by a infected mosquito.

•Red eye
•muscle pain

🔸️Their are two Aedes species mosquito which Carry the virus.
When a normal and healthy mosquito bites a person who is infected with the zika virus then the virus infects the mosquito, and when that mosquito bites another person, the virus enters his/her body.

🔸️It can also transmit through sexual activity.
It can transmit from body of a person to their partner by Anal, Viginal or even Oral sex.
This virus has been detected and can transmit through semen, breastmilk, saliva, urine, Vaginal fluids.

Schizophrenia is a serious mental disorder in which people observe reality abnormally. Schizophrenia may result in hallucinations, delusions, and extremely disordered thinking and behavior, which is a serious issue.
Schizophrenia patients needs a very long treatment.

In this people makes perceptions of seeing, hearing, getting touched, smelled something that doesn't exist in real life.
🔺️Abnormal Behaviour
In this people can start behaving abnormally making loud sound, inappropriate postures, lack of response etc.

🔺️Abmormal Thinking
It refers to abnormal speaking where people can answer unrelated answers, meaningless words, start talking with themselves.
Sometimes it also called word salad.

Polio.
Polio is a disease caused by polio virus. It Spread from person to person, It also spreads from contaminated food, water, liquid etc.
Its causes nerve injury leading to paralysis, difficulty in breathing and sometimes death. This virus enters the body through the mouth.

💠Symptoms of Polio.
●Nonparalytic Polio
This doesn't lead to paralysis, it shows some symptoms which can last from 10 to 15 days such as-
•Fever
•Headache
•Vomiting
•Sore Throat
•Neck pain
•Back pain
•Pain in arm and leg
•Constipation

●Paralytic Syndrome
At start it shown the symptoms of Nonparalytic Polio but within a week It starts showing some other major symptoms like-
•Flaccid Paralysis (floppy limbs)
•Hard ache in muscle
•Loss of reflex

●Post-Polio Syndrome
It is a cluster of disabling signs and symptoms that affect some people years after having polio.
Common symptoms are:
•Breathing Problem
•Muscles Wasting
•Unable to tolerate cold temperature
•Progressive Muscle and Joint Weakness

It is a condition that can affect polio survivors decades after they recover from their initial poliovirus infection.
Most people who get infected with poliovirus (about 72 out of 100) will not have any visible symptoms.

💠Uses of Rose flower in Ayurveda.
🔸️Rose is cultivated throughout the world for its cosmetic value and medicinal purpose. It is medicinally used for blood purification, treatment of the intestinal ulcer, diarrhea and anti-inflammatory action.

It is cultivated throughout cold and temperate climatic part of India. It grows upto 2 meter with spikes. It is cultivated for its fragrant flowers which are used commercially. But the medicinal properties are found in the original variety of rose than in the hybrid variety.

💠Chemical composition of Rose plant:
The flowers and leaves contain 1.3-8.5% of saponin. Petals contain methionine sulphoxide. It's oil contains citronellol, geraniol, nerol, phenylethanol. It also contains 15% tannins. The rose hip contains vitamin C, malic acid and citric acid

💠Several uses of Rose in Ayurveda
🔶️The dried paste of the petals of rose is taken internally in a dose of 5g along with milk to treat gastritis and duodenal ulcer.
🔶️Paste of the rose petals or the powder of the dried petals is applied over the wounds for quicker healing.

🔶️Creams from the essential oil of rose are used to treat dry or inflamed skin.
🔶️The paste of the petals is applied over the body to control sweating and to give a pleasant smell.
🔶️The extract of the rose petals is used as drops or eye wash in burning sensation of eyes.
