I was thinking about what kind of resources I'd want to have if someone has to start learning investing right now, the ones I wish I had two three years back.

This thread is a compilation of the best resources I have come across. 👇👇👇

Let's start with ** BOOKS **

1) The Intelligent Investor - Ben Graham :

Classic book, suggested by investors all over the world. Start with this book.

2) One up on Wall Street

Peter Lynch covers his strategies to find 10 baggers, and describes how an average Joe can do as well as the pros with simple methods and rock solid discipline and consistency backing it.

3) Common Stocks Uncommon Profits

This is a Phil Fisher classic.

It's on the other end of the spectrum as the book dives into a deep qualitative approach in value investing rather than being fully quantitative like Ben Graham's.

4) Security Analysis

Another book by Ben Graham that dives deep into analysing and understanding the valuations of any company you pick up to study.

The ultimate proxy for Infra, Coal India, mining & defence, SOLARINDS is planning a significant expansion to increase its packaged explosives manufacturing capacity.

The co is guiding for a > 30% Topline & Bottomline growth in FY22, would huge if they can really walk the talk!

The company has around 25-30% in all the segments that they operate in and would gain incremental market share once the new CAPEX in South gets commissioned and on the other hand SOLARINDS is the only company in India which is qualified for the production of the Pinaka Rocket.

Heavy volume... Little price progress = INSTITUTIONAL SELLING

Locking in profit is and important aspect of trading. profitable trade turning into loser can have very negative impact on your psychology. few tricks how i do it.
1. If I have naked call/ put buy - i will convert into Spread by selling otm CE/PE
2. for bull call spread -

book existing bull call spread and execute another bull call spread with lower debit
3. If we are in last 2 weeks of Expiry - can convert bull call spread in to ratio or butterfly.
4. If we have naked CE/PE sell - hedge it with otm CE/PE [credit spread]

5. if we have PE credit spread - can add ce credit spread [convert to Iron condor]
this list is just 2% of what we can do with options. understand the logic of each strategy and transition from one strategy to another.
