The CPC, and their enabling press & surrogates, wish us to believe they haven't behaved like Trump's GOP. That they haven't copies Trump tactics, to try to get it to work in Canada as well.

during the day of the election, for CPC leader, I made a screenshot of CBC PnP's coverage - when the second ballot count had just been announced. Note that before the third ballot, Leslyn Lewis had the highest percentage of votes. You know who Dr Lewis' followers are? M*GA
An example, early on - August 27, when Erin O'Toole promised to 'Fight' for Canadians. Where else have we heard 'fight'? Think of Trump & Cruz, when they were whipping up the crowds on Jan 6, before they mobbed the halls of Congress
Here is Charles Adler, responding to CPC MP Findlay regarding her post where she shared a conspiracy site & asked us to beware of Finance Minister Freeland. Btw, Findlay never apologized to Freeland
Also, regarding tweet 7/, CPC leader O'Toole never penalized her for this. When asked by reporters for his comment, he hid behind his office staff & had them respond. Their statement was that MP Findlay deleted the tweet. That's it!
Another response, this time from @Ottawa_Cameron, also related to MP Findlay's dog whistling - something that Trump & the GOP do
Press, like Postmedia's Lorrie Goldstein, are mouthpieces for the CPC. He comes to their rescue, when they're under fire from Cdns. They have not disavowed some of his Trump-like rhetoric. Here's a sample of his type of rhetoric
as far as I'm concerned, as long as the writers that support the CPC have a reputation for using similar tactics as Trump & the GOP, the CPC should not be using them to further their message(s) - if they wish Cdns to believe they're not Trump-lite
these are their comms people - whether by association through Postmedia, or as press secretaries for conservative politicians - in this case Matt Wolf is provincial, but the Alberta UCP often share the same material with the CPC

Mr O'Toole thinks the "Liberal brand" is: Climate Change, Indigenous Reconciliation, & Gender. In other words, he doesn't think these are files of interest to all Canadians. I beg to differ. The only ones who don't think these are important, are his type of conservative
btw, regarding tweet 15/ - the CPC leader never did answer my question. Also, I ask you to consider - is climate change, indigenous reconciliation & gender, also slammed by Trump and the GOP? Consider how 45 et al. have treated these topics. Parallels?
the CPC have used the RCAF as a form of branding. Please check my pinned tweet-thread for more on this topic. Trump has also surrounded himself with law & order types & made a big deal about Space Force & so on. Both CPC & 45 use military, and similar orgs, as brand
I also see a parallel between 45 and his focus on industries that are transitioning out as well as primarily staffed by males, and the same focus from the CPC. My screenshot doesn't show the date, but the file date is Sept. 23, 2020
the CPC want us to think they're more honest than Trump. Yet it was dishonest of them to post a video that they added words to the post, supposedly said by PM Trudeau, but you can play the video they shared & the message is different than their claim
the CPC's use of terminology like "wealthy, elite & insider friends" sounds like Trump at one of his rallies, IMHO. This push by Mr O'Toole (and Scheer before him), to come across like the humble person raised in a modest background, is disingenuous

Like Trump, Erin O'Toole talks about standing up to China. He doesn't suggest how, or consider the consequences of any action. Unrealistic & simplistic 'tough talk' (IMHO). Also, ironic, considering his party's history with FIPA trade deal under Harper
Re tweet 20/ here's an example of Erin O'Toole trying to be just a regular guy, similar to the type of rhetoric Trump used. Not completely honest, IMHO. After all, he makes it seem like his dad worked on the assembly line, yet was actually an executive - for two decades.
Please look at this screenshot and ask yourself: is this an American GOP message, or a Canadian one? (file date Nov 24, 2020), 'Freedom of Speech'
Dishonest, like Trump. Playing games with words to imply one thing, when in fact it's another thing. If CPC wish us to think they're not like Trump, they need to be more honest, play less games
another example of dishonesty, as noted Trump is dishonest - do we want this in our Cdn pols? It's one thing to use political spin, but Mr O'Toole is proving to be as misleading with his posts on this platform, as his predecessor (h/t @Swift01_2000)
Then there's this. Also consider the Trump admin's record with American indigenous communities during his time in office. Both Trump & O'Toole share the same bad worldview w/r/t indigenous peoples (IMHO)

I'm still happy that I launched a paid app bcs it involved extra work:
- backend for processing payments (+ permissions, webhooks, etc)
- integration with payment processor
- UI for license activation in Electron
- machine activation limit
- autoupdates
- mailgun emails
etc.
These things seemed super scary at first. I always thought it was way too much work and something would break. But I'm glad I persisted. So far the only problem I have is that mailgun is not delivering the license keys to certain domains like https://t.co/6Bqn0FUYXo etc. 👌
omg I just realized that me . com is an Apple domain, of course something wouldn't work with these dicks
