A Conspiracy Thread: The Sentient World Simulation

In 2007, the Department of Defense worked with researchers at Purdue University to create SEAS, or the Synthetic Environment for Analysis and Simulations. SEAS uses data from the internet to create realistically detailed models of the world which are used to predict the future.

We’re told SEAS is now capable of running real-time simulations of up to 62 nations and that it’s been used by Fortune 500 companies for strategic planning, or in other words, manipulating the market. Nevertheless, there are plans to turn SEAS into something even more advanced.

Developers say their goal is to turn SEAS into a Sentient World Simulation, or a “continuously running, continually updated mirror model of the real world.” However, some conspiracy theorists claim the SWS is already live and running inside a network of quantum computers.

Researchers like Seth Lloyd have suggested that the entire universe could be simulated inside a quantum computer. According to Geordie Rose, the co-founder of D-Wave Systems, a company that creates these machines, they can even tap into parallel worlds and other dimensions.

Fun fact: the standard advice for if a dog, cat, or human bites your hand, is to feed the bite. Push your hand further into their mouth, forcing the jaw open.

Nurses, EMTs, veterinarians, etc are taught to respond this

The advice for a human biting you is to jam your hand or arm deeper into their mouth, and rub the spot under their nose back and forth.

If you attempt to remove your hand, or forearm, the teeth do what they're supposed to and gouge out a chunk.

So: every EMT and nurse who gets bitten by a human, is trained to jam their hand or forearm deeper into the mouth, feeding the bite so the jaw widens enough to remove the limb

I think that, in the face of an ongoing global health emergency and a pressing need to reopen safely, some form of health pass is a reasonable option to consider. But debate is a good thing, so here are some brief thoughts on various concerns I've heard about them... [thread]

"A health pass discriminates against people who have refused the vaccine." No. A health pass should also support proof of test result for people who haven't been vaccinated, and exemptions for people who cannot be vaccinated (get vaccinated if you can though, for heaven's sake).

"A health pass is an invasion of privacy." No. A health pass should be privacy preserving, allowing you to prove your status to third parties without giving away personal data or letting them track you without your permission.

"A health pass is unfair to people without smartphones." No. A health pass should accommodate people without a smartphone, e.g. with a printable option as a fall-back (though for most of us, carrying a digital pass on our phone will be much more convenient).

"A health pass will become obsolete as the virus mutates." No. A health pass should actually give us more insight and flexibility to adjust our response as our knowledge of the virus, and the ways we test / treat / vaccinate for it, increases.
