Sri Lakshmi Narayana Swamy Temple, Avanigadda ,A.P.
The Deity here was installed by Sri Rama Chandra in the Trethayuga.This temple structure with seven kalashas on the gopuram and a height of 99 ft was constructed by King Kulotunga Chola 2 in 1065 CE.

(Dharma Shastra) from Vasistha Maharshi.Thus the name was called Avanijapuram and later renamed as Avanigadda.Due to the devastating cyclone in 1977,the temple's Dwaja Sthamba was damaged and re- installed later in 1990.The temple was earlier renovated in 1824 after a millennium.

The temple also houses a shrine for Sri Daasa Anjaneya Swamy.
