so weird how people don't consider that either a) maybe they both suck or more importantly, b) maybe none of this actually matters at all and your shitty fanfiction about this whole rivalry is extremely tired

ugh i don't want to be a grumpy old person here but really, come on

i guess i should be blaming the media outlets that have fueled these fake feuds and made them look like some kind of significant World Defining Event more than anything else

like believe me i'm not above overthinking about pop music or pop musicians but like, these kind of rivalries just feel like bad high school drama at the end of the day and the amount of people trying to make them look like Politically Significant events has just been depressing
