The other day, I was watching an interview with David Perell (@david_perell) and Nathan Barry (@nathanbarry). Nathan asked David how to get your first 1000 subscribers.

@nathanbarry In my head, I was thinking of this question in terms of how can one develop 1000 true fans - this has been one of my goals for a while.

David said the best way to go from 0 to 1000 is to offer as much value as you possibly can. You want to attract subscribers who:

- Refer your work to others
