What do we stand for? What are we? We are a small bunch of lads who enjoy a Chennayin FC match day and like to sing and dance to the songs of the hometown club and it's representatives. Are we the biggest fanbase in this country? No. Do we really want to be? Truly, we don't care.
What we want is for us to be acknowledged. Our opinions, representations and beliefs. My football club is this one, this never changes. Till either me or the club ceases to exist, this relationship lasts.
Whether I could walk to the terraces or if I could only reminisce about the days I did breathed that dense air.
I'm me. I'm a Chennai boy who fell in love with a club like a pup to its master. There's no going back but there's more.
I want my club to represent me, not stereotype me. I don't dance to the songs they think we dance to. I don't even listen to them. I don't wear the clothes they think we wear. I don't respond to any name they think is our name.
I'm a Chennai boy, I'm in this till death. If someone else can name me, I think I have a right to name me something as well.
