Dogra Rule and the misery of Muslims
— historyofAJK (@historyofAJK) January 18, 2021
Dogra regime was led by:
1. Mahraja Gulab Singh (1846-1857)
2. Ranbir Singh (1857-1885)
3. Partab Singh (1885-1925)
4. Hari Singh (1925-1947)
Dogra Rule was declared as "Dhram Raj". A rule that had no regard for Muslims.
Muslims of the state received great support from Muslim brethren of Punjab.
Because of these activities and support the Muslims of the state were ready to demand rights from Maharaja.
This set stone for the political reforms in the state for Muslims.
Hari Sing succeeded in 1925, he was educated but continued the tyrannical Raj of his predecessors.
However, year of 1931 emerged as revolutionary against the Mahraja and his govt. in valley.
The issue of religion became the reason of this revolution for Muslims.
Case of inslult of Quran in Jammu etc. resulted in protest at Srinagar.
Abdul Qadeer (an outsider) delivered a speech, which ignited the Muslims.
He was arrested and sent to Srinagar jailed and charged.
13 July people gathered outside court to see the man. In resistance the Dogra forces opened fire and killed 22 people.
This incident shook the minds of Muslims and there was outrage. This compelled Maharaja to form a commission on recommendation of British.

In order to cherry pick proof for the plucked-out-of-thin-air 3 million figure allegedly murdered by Pakistan Army in '71, Mujib ur Rehman constituted a Commission on Jan 29 '72 to locate verifiable evidence.

After President Yahya Khan had postponed the national assembly session scheduled to be held on March 3 1971 under the pressure of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, it had disastrous consequences. It gave Mujib ur Rehman the license to fulfill his nefarious designs.

"Tragedy of East Pakistan"
— Fidato (@tequieremos) December 16, 2019
The year 1971 is the saddest chapter in the history of Pakistan. Not just for Pakistan but for Muslims of the entire subcontinent, if not Muslims of the world.
