At one point there were five bombings in America *every day*. https://t.co/VUnLr2IDyt

Deadly riots in literally hundreds of American cities. A rash of high-profile political assassinations. Soldiers shooting protesters on college campuses!
Labor disputes used to kill hundreds of people!
In 1932 Douglas MacArthur called in tanks on protesting veterans, injuring over a thousand people!
In 1967 there were 159 race riots in cities across
In 1921, rioters used airplanes to bomb black businesses in Tulsa, Oklahoma! Hundreds were killed in the riot!
My advice? If you see a big truck with little kennel doors and a lot of dogs in it, and the dogs seem relaxed and happy, no need to call the police! Instead, get a large order of fries and leave them on the hood with a note that they’re for the pups. Everybody wins. \U0001f35f❤️\U0001f618 pic.twitter.com/YWt8N7Hbmc

If you google âsled dog truck,â youâll see that a lot of mushers put dog silhouettes on the doors, or paw prints, or bright colors. Thereâs even this painted truck in Colorado, which is a-maz-ing.

We bought our dog boxes used (after our last truck burned down, we moved them onto a new flatbed) and our priority has always been making sure theyâre safe, dry, well-ventilated, and comfortable. The dogs jump right into their boxes; they love going for car rides.

We like the steel doors because theyâre rustproof and let the dogs see/smell everything thatâs going by. In our climate, weâre usually more concerned with keeping the dogs coolâand making sure they have fresh air and ventilationâthan keeping them warm.

But how many people see these doors, with their vertical bars, and immediately think of dogs in jail?

Lately, Trump has essentially claimed that Democrats and the press are not just political opponents, but violent enemies of the state.
The President is radicalizing his supporters and it gets covered as if itâs just campaign tactics.
Wake up.
You don’t hand matches to an arsonist, and you don’t give power to an angry left-wing mob. Democrats have become too EXTREME and TOO DANGEROUS to govern. Republicans believe in the rule of law - not the rule of the mob. VOTE REPUBLICAN!

Meanwhile, we have orgs like @axios acting as if âboth sidesâ are equally to blame for this
Itâs President Trump and the @GOP dividing us
Trump, the @GOP, and conservative media push gaslighting, false narratives and perpetuate the culture war, not
It's going to get worse. Virtually every major American institution is being radicalized — or being reshaped by the radicalization of our public lives. https://t.co/OSFFJrJi23

When @realDonaldTrump and the @GOPâs anti-Democratic behavior is covered as if itâs just politics as usual, and journalists search for ways to pin this devolution of our national discourse on âboth sides,â it only perpetuates the divide by normalizing what the right is doing.
There is only one way to look at this:
Trump and the @GOP have anti-democratic impulses, assault the rule of law, and engineered minority rule through gerrymandering/voter suppression
Meanwhile, Democrats are actually fighting for the majority and want to uphold the rule of law
Why am I criticizing the media in a thread about Trump? I believe media is the lens through which people perceive reality (why I co-founded @RanttMedia).
When that lens isnât held responsibly (falsely equalizes a dangerous demagogue with his opposition) it misleads the public.
