A look at how big Metro Detroit has grown between 1947-2022. What is the end goal? Keep pushing out to M23 and 69?

@AlexSeverino4 Part of the promise of widening the avenues was that they would be wide enough to build subways. Subways were proposed several times but never built.

I'll still never understood why we allowed cities to demolish heavily lined retail districts to widen roads. Here's Michigan Ave looking towards downtown. When you remove the places people shop, you kill the area.
