I am discussing poultry as regards chicken. Bear in mind that Turkey isn't included in this tweet.
Let me dive in.
Poultry means domesticated birds that are kept for eggs, meat and feathers. Therefore, poultry "business" simply means exchanging eggs, meat,chicks and
feathers of the domesticated birds for money. It can also mean exploring every value chain associated with the domesticated birds to make profit.
There are several avenues to make money from poultry in 2012 and they can be categorized into two namely;
a.) Production
b.) Services
Let's start with production.
I will categorize production into three.
1.) Production of chicks
2.) Production of table eggs
3.) Production of Meat
PRODUCTION OF CHICKS
This has to do with the line of poultry that is known as BREEDERS. Breeders are the birds used for the
