60 graves of Afzal Khan's wives ki|led by him before leaving for the expedition against Shivaji Maharaj.

Before the battle, Khan contacted astrologers who predicted his d€ath at the hands of the Maratha soldiers. Fearing his wives would remarry after his d€ath he ki|led them.

Some say they were pushed into a deep well, while others say they fell to his sword.
