BUT WE AS A COUNTRY HAVE TO FACE THIS HEAD-ON... 
THERE'S NO GOING BACK TO THE WAY WE USED TO BE. 
THIS MORNING, I REALIZED THAT EVERYTHING IS ABOUT TO CHANGE.
  NO MATTER HOW I VOTE, NO MATTER WHAT I SAY, AMERICA IS NEVER GOING TO BE THE SAME...
I'VE BEEN COVERING POLITICS FOR ALMOST TWO DECADES.. 
AND THIS MOMENT IN TIME... WE ARE FURTHER APART AS A NATION THAN EVER BEFORE.. 
AT LEAST, IN MY LIFETIME..
MY FRIENDS ARE SPLIT.. 
THE LIBERAL ONES WON'T TALK TO THE CONSERVATIVE FRIENDS...
"SEE I TOLD YOU IT WAS GOING TO END THIS WAY"...
YA KNOW WHAT..? 
THEY WERE RIGHT. 
THEY HAVE BEEN SAYING THIS WOULD HAPPEN.
MY CONSERVATIVE FRIENDS ARE STILL SHAKING THEIR COLLECTIVE HEADS.. 
WOW.. THINGS WERE GOING GREAT FOR FOUR YEARS..
  WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?...
THEY ARE RIGHT TOO...
THINGS WERE GOING GREAT FOR CONSERVATIVES.. 
THEY GOT THREE SUPREME COURT JUSTICES SEATED.. 
TAXES WERE LOWERED…
REGULATIONS WERE ROLLED BACK LIKE NEVER BEFORE SEEN.
  SO WHAT HAPPENED?
AS A LIBERTARIAN, I SHOULD HAVE SEEN THIS COMING....
THE RIGHT WAS GETTING THEIR WAY.. WHILE THE LEFT WAS GETTING MORE AND MORE DISENFRANCHISED.
  BUT ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES..
  AND THE WINNING TEAM ALWAYS HAS ADVANTAGES.
I SAW THAT AS IT WAS REPUBLICANS TURN NOW..
DEMOCRATS HAD 8 YEARS OF OBAMA AND THEY WILL GET THEIR TURN..
AGAIN....
WHAT I DIDN'T SEE WAS THE LEVEL AT WHICH THE STATUS QUO WOULD BE PROTECTED....
THE GRAVY TRAIN THAT IS THE AMERICAN POLITICAL SYSTEM WAS BEING THREATENED...
TRUMP WAS A NEW TYPE OF POLITICIAN... A NON-POLITICIAN..
HE WAS CHANGING THE WAY THINGS WERE BEING DONE IN D-C...
RATHER THAN BEING A FRESH NEW START, TRUMP REPRESENTED A THREAT TO THE D-C POLITICAL ELITE CLASS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE AISLE.
FOR THE FOUR YEARS TRUMP WAS PRESIDENT, D-C WAS UNCOMFORTABLE… WORRIED THAT THEIR "GRIFT" WOULD END.
HERE'S HOW "THE GRIFT" GOES DOWN:....
LAWMAKERS SPEND OUR MONEY ON PROJECTS THEY SAY HELP MAKE OUR COUNTRY BETTER, SAFER, MORE EFFICIENT.
INSTEAD OF BEING STEWARDS OF OUR MONEY, THEY HAND IT TO FRIENDS OF THEIRS..
  FOR FAVORS, FOR VOTES AND IN SOME CASES FOR DONATIONS TO THEIR CAMPAIGNS...
EVER WONDER HOW A CONGRESSMAN CAN COME TO DC... MAKE 100K PER YEAR AFTER TAX.... AND LEAVE A FEW YEARS LATER WITH TENS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS, HUGE HOMES AND VACATION SPOTS AROUND THE WORLD?
"THE GRIFT".. THAT'S HOW.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO LOOK TOO HARD TO FIND DOZENS OF EXAMPLES...
OF THOSE "SUCCESS" STORIES.
IT'S ALMOST UNHEARD OF FOR AN ELECTED OFFICIAL TO LEAVE CONGRESS AS A MIDDLE CLASSER... OR GOD FORBID.. POOR...
JUST DOESN'T HAPPEN.
  EVER WONDER WHY......
  I HAVE TO SAY.. DC... IT'S JUST A GROSS SWAMP. 
PEOPLE USING EACH OTHER FOR FAVORS.
EVERYTHING.... "EVERYTHING" HAS A STRING ATTACHED TO IT. 
NO ONE DOES SOMETHING BECAUSE IT'S RIGHT.. OR GOOD FOR THE COUNTRY.. 
THEY DO STUFF BECAUSE THEY'VE ALREADY NEGOTIATED A RETURN FAVOR..
"IT'S THAT BAD IN D-C FOLKS.. I KID YOU NOT"
  SO WHERE DOES THAT LEAVE US NOW?...
IT LEAVES US DIVIDED.. IT LEAVES US AGITATED... IT LEAVES US PERPLEXED...
WHERE ARE WE HEADED?  
  POLITICALLY, THERE'S A LINE DRAWN DOWN THE MIDDLE OF AMERICA... 
THERE'S A LEFT AND THERE'S A RIGHT NOW.... 
THERE'S NO MIDDLE GROUND ANYMORE.. NO GRAY AREA...
IT APPEARS, THERE ARE NO MORE INDEPENDENTS.
EVERYTHING IS RIGHT OR WRONG.. AND GOD HELP YOU IF YOU’RE WRONG.. 
YOU'RE LIKELY ABOUT TO BE CANCELED..
GONE ARE THE DAYS OF COMPROMISE.. OR THE DAYS OF EXPLAINING YOUR RATIONALE FOR SOME POSITION.
IT WON'T MATTER..
THE OTHER SIDE IS 100% CORRECT.. JUST ASK THEM.
  EVERYONE IS TAKING A SIDE....AND THE SIDES ARE PUSHING FURTHER AND FURTHER APART..
  USUALLY I LIKE TO END THE MONOLOGUE WITH A POIGNANT STATEMENT.. OR A THOUGHT PROVOKING COMMENT..

(1 of 2) Paul Manafort—a longtime associate of Howard Liebengood Sr.—is an exec at Event Strategies, which planned the 1/6 rally that ended with a breach of security at the Capitol, where Howard Liebengood Jr. worked security (USCP). 2 days later Liebengood Jr. committed suicide.

(2 of 2) I believe this is a coincidence. That said, because I don't think Manafort aiding and abetting a rally that ended in insurrection is coincidence, I have to assume that—out of an abundance of caution—law enforcement will investigate any possible Manafort-Liebengood link.

(PS) It is vital that no one presume connections where there may be none. My point is that as a criminal investigative matter, Manafort will be investigated for any role he had in the Save America March, and Liebengood's suicide would naturally be investigated due to its context.

(PS2) I'm sure there'll be those who say that a Donald Trump event giving tons of money to a company that enriches Paul Manafort at a time when Trump continues to need Manafort to stay quiet and Manafort is having money problems is a mere coincidence.

*That* I do not agree with.

(PS3) By the same token, as a federal criminal investigative matter, when you are about to have numerous investigations into whether security at a government building had been pre-compromised and someone who worked security at that building commits suicide, it gets investigated.

Last week, @CleCityCouncil started reviewing Mayor Frank Jackson’s proposed city budget for 2021. There was robust discussion, and Documenters were there to cover it. Here’s a thread of what we learned last week about the #CLEBudget

First, it helps to know where we are in the budget process. From today through Feb. 24, the council will meet about the General Fund budget. The council will then agree on a budget with their changes (if any); 15 days after doing so, they can vote to make the budget official.


In other words, there’s still time to use your voice! The #refundcleveland tool can help. Create the #CLEBudget you want and send it to your council member. Click “Change the Budget” on the homepage and follow the on-screen instructions from there.

South African science was crucial in helping UK discover its new variants; but then the UK govt claimed (wrongly) that the SA variant is more transmissible. No evidence to support this, according to @krisp_news

From the Times article: SA scientists "were the first to recognize the importance of a genetic change in the spike protein, something that allows the virus to attach more easily to human cells, making it more infectious than the original version."

The SA discovery was shared on Dec 4 over the WHO’s Covid-19 Evolution Working Group. “Our British colleagues were able to go back to their own databases and interrogate them as a result of the work we shared,” Richard Lessells, an infectious diseases specialist at Krisp, said.

More from the Times article by @janeflan: "While working on a much smaller budget than their British colleagues, the South African team, experienced with work on HIV, have the skills to decode the genome of viruses."

"They started work on samples of the Covid-19 virus soon after the first cases reached South Africa in March. In October they identified the first example that had changed significantly."

I am going to take the context for this thread from this piece by my good brother @mabziz in 2018-3 years ago. One thing I am so perturbed about is the response of our Attorney General's office to issues of state security. I have no personal grouse against @MalamiSan, but


2. I do have a professional grouse against him. I feel he is not alive to his duties. I feel that he is also not empowering his Director of Public Prosecutions or his Solicitor General. There is clearly a lot that befuddles me and this is because I am a seasoned lawyer and can't/

3. understand why law is not being used as the instrument it was designed for-to enforce law and order. Let us take the case of Nnamdi Kanu-this man was arraigned in Nigeria on a charge of treason/treasonable felony-he was on bail & he jumped bail. Why has he not been extradited?

4. Is it that Kanu is somehow bigger than Nigeria? What has happened to his surety who failed to produce him? Who is prosecuting him? Our Federal Ministry of Justice? Should Malami not explain to Nigeria why Nnamdi Kanu is still taunting Nigeria daily & still actively destroying/

5. our unity everyday. He is putting the lives of many people at risk and stoking ethnic dissent easily. The Fulani herdsmen dilemma, the burning of Lagos State and his coordination of same on phone-in radio channels, his videos are all stoking a Yoruba/Igbo carnage. Same with/

Now Suniti was the daughter of a tribal chief while Suruchi was the daughter of a rich king. Hence Suruchi was always favored the most by Raja while Suniti was ignored. But while Suniti was gentle & kind hearted by nature Suruchi was venomous inside.

The story is of a time when ideally the eldest son of the king becomes the heir to the throne. Hence the sinhasan of the Raja belonged to Dhruva.This is why Suruchi who was the 2nd wife nourished poison in her heart for Dhruva as she knew her son will never get the throne.


One day when Dhruva was just 5 years old he went on to sit on his father's lap. Suruchi, the jealous queen, got enraged and shoved him away from Raja as she never wanted Raja to shower Dhruva with his fatherly affection.


Dhruva protested questioning his step mother "why can't i sit on my own father's lap?" A furious Suruchi berated him saying "only God can allow him that privilege. Go ask him"

I am reading through reams of late-1920s communist poetry and easily my favourite title so far is: "To a Lady who Rejected a Poem about Spring as a Petit-Bourgeois Deviation"

The last lines:
"So here's my hat into the air,
Three cheers for your amazing hair,
For coal mines, and for turbines, too,
For steel, the Comintern and you!"

A not exactly graceful (though possibly satirical) title: "Lines Disassociating Myself from Yessenin and Supporting the Otherwise Unfounded Legend that I am a Foremost Proletarian Writer"

An excerpt:
"Goodbye verses of Yessenin
Goodbye literary slop-
You are not the line of Lenin
You are not the line of WAPP

Never shall I moan a
simple lyric from the heart
I'll devote my new corona
to the proletarian art"

The poet was Joseph Freeman, who published much of his revolutionary verse in the New Masses, a stylish journal of the interwar American literary Left.

TILAK:AN AGE OLD PRACTICE OF HINDUS

The beautiful Matribhumi of Bharat is the land of many religions &cultures but its Hinduism with which the world identifies this great Nation. Hinduism is the religion with science at its heart &its also a religion of many rituals &traditions.


Today we will talk about a very prominent and noticeable Mark on the foreheads of #Hindus called 'Tilak'. Tilaks are of different designs and colors. It symbolizes different meanings for different people such as religious expression, spiritual symbol, marital status etc.


Tilak is a very alluring design that is made in between the eyebrows. Vermilion, Chandan, Turmeric, Kumkum, Rice and Rice water, Vibhuti etc can all be used as Tilaks.
Why this particular spot is used for Tilak? Bcoz, it is mentioned as 'Ajna Chakra' in terms of yoga.


This chakra is the sixth & most important chakra of the human body. It's the junction where the highest number of neurons meet & is described as most important and sensitive spot in the human body.Different #Hindu traditions use different shapes and ingredients to make the Tilak.


SPIRITUAL SIGNIFICANCE

Various Hindu Scriptures mention the importance of Tilak in Sanatan Dharma. It is believed that energy, strength and divinity comes to those who apply Tilak. It is also regarded as a welcoming expression and to honour the guests when they arrive.

ANCIENT BHARAT WAS CALLED VISHWAGURU, AND IT REALLY DESERVED IT.

India had a well developed education system centuries before the westerners arrived and called us uncivilized. Education was always given a great importance in Indian civilisation since times immemorial.


Ancient India had the Gurukulas and Ashramas as the epicentres of the knowledge and enlightenment. Bigger Gurukulas served as the centres of higher education called universities. Besides these universities, temples also emerged as the major learning centres.

Studying the Holy Scriptures, character building, personality development, responsibilities towards self,family and society,discipline and preservation of the ancient culture and heritage were the key embodiments of education.

This kind of education system made ancient India, a centre of knowledge all over the world. Many foreign students came to India for education and India was called the 'Vishwaguru'.
Takshshila and Nalanda were the two prominent universities of ancient India.


But were these only Universities of ancient India?The answer is 'No'.Let's learn about these gems of our education system that flourished across ancient India & be proud.

How to sell option?

Say BN at 30000
30000 straddle trading at combine premium 800 ( based on current volatility)
Put at 400
Call at 400
You don’t know direction. Sold both.

If move will not come than both will decrease gradually.

At day end it will come down to 720-740 if move will not come. Difference is your profit.

Now case 2:
Move started.
At one points combine premium will start increasing.
Say 810.
Exit immediately. No need to do adjustment.
Let market settle.

Sell again straddle once market settle.
Now repeat same thing.

Straddle selling webinar over.
Good luck.

One can keep SL 550 for both strike to escape from sudden movement.
