ARUDRA DARSHAN: TOMORROW
Observed in the Tamil month of Margazhi (this year on Dec 20). It celebrates the cosmic dance of Shiva, which is represented by Nataraja form.
Arudra signifies the golden red flame and it is also a Nakshatra represented by Shiva.
The most important Arudra Darshan festival takes place at Chidambaram (TN).
Legend has it that Shiva performed the cosmic dance for Adi Shesha and Vyaghrapada.
Adishesha is the 7-hooded serpent on whom Sri Vishnu rests and Vyaghrapada performed tapas to witness Ananda Tandava.
Plz read my earlier thread to know the story of Vyaghrapada.

VYAGHRAPADA AND NATARAJA

Vyaghrapada was a Shiva bhakt in Chidambaram region. Everyday he offered fresh flowers on Shivlinga.
One day, he observed that honeybees used to drink nectar from flowers before he offered them to Prabhu. So he started going to forest before sunrise. pic.twitter.com/fdkAshsc2G
