"எம்பெருமான் பொன்மலை மேல் ஏதேனும் ஆவேனே" என்றும் "படியாய்க் கிடந்தது உன் பவளவாய் காண்பேனே" என்றும் நாடு நகரமும் நன்கறிய முழங்கிய எங்கள் குலசேகரனின் திருநட்சத்திரம் இன்று. நல்லவர்கள் கொண்டாடும் நாள்!

ஸ்ரீ வைணவ ஆசாரியர்களின் உரைகள் ஆழ்வார்களின் ஒவ்வொரு சொல்லிலும் பெரிதும் ஈடுபட்டு விளைந்தவை.

தெய்வீகச் சம்பவங்களில் கூட உரைகள் தோன்றியுள்ளன என்பதற்குச் சில சான்றுகள்!

வாரீர்! பெருமாள் திருமொழியில் உள்ள சில வரிகளுக்கு நம் ஆசாரியர்கள் அருளிய பொருட்சுவையைச் சுவைப்போம்!

6ம் திருமொழி 8ம் பாசுரம்

ஸ்ரீ குலசேகராழ்வார் ஸ்ரீ இராமபிரான் மீது பற்று உடையவர் என்பது பலரும் அறிந்ததே ஆனால் அவர் ஸ்ரீ கண்ணபிரானையும் பாடியுள்ளார்.

இப்பதிகம் ஸ்ரீ கண்ணபிரானுடன் பல கோபிகைகள் ஊடல் கோபத்துடன் பேசுவதாக நாயகி மனோபாவத்தில் அமைந்துள்ளது!

இப்பாசுரத்தின் பொருள்:

'என்னை ஒரு இடத்திற்கு வரச்சொல்லி, முல்லைப்பந்தலில் பதுங்கியிருந்த இன்னொரு கோபிகையுடன் கூடியிருக்கப் போகும்பொழுது எனைக் கண்டு, உன் பீதகவாடையைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டு இல்லாத பொய் அச்சத்துடன் ஓடினாய். என்றாவது என்னைக் காண வருவாய்.

திருமாமகள் கேள்வனுக்கும் திருமாமகளுக்கும் பன்னிரு திருநாமங்கள் உள்ளன என்பது நம்மில் பலர் அறிந்திருக்கக்கூடும்.

பதின்மூன்றாவதாகவும் ஒரு திருநாமம் இருவருக்குமே (வாசுதேவ:, சர்வாபீஷ்டபலப்ரதா) உண்டு என்று பெரியோர் பணிப்பர்.

“இது போலவே ஸ்ரீ வைணவ குருமார்களின் தலைவரான எம் ஐயன் இராமாநுசருக்கும் பதின்மூன்று அழகிய சிறப்புத் திருநாமங்கள் உள்ளனவோ?” என்று வியக்கும்படி அவருக்குப் பெரியோர்கள் பட்டங்கள் அளித்துள்ளனர்!

அவற்றைத் தொகுத்து வழங்குவதே இந்த இழையின் நோக்கம்.

இராமாநுசர் காஷ்மீரம் சென்றபொழுது சரசுவதி தேவி அவர் முன் தோன்றி, "நீர் 'கப்யாசம் புண்டரீகம் ஏவம் அக்ஷிணீ' என்ற வேத வாக்கியத்தின் பொருள் உரைப்பீர்!" என்ன,

இராமாநுசரும் "இதற்குப் 'பரம்பொருள் ஆதவனால் அன்று அலர்த்தப்பட்டத் தாமரையைப் போன்றத் திருக்கண்கள் உடையவன்' என்று பொருள்" என உரைத்தார்.

நாமங்கையும் மிக உகந்து, வேதங்களின் பொருளை விளக்க இராமாநுசர் எழுதிய உரையைத் தமது சிரத்தில் தரித்து, "இதுவே ஸ்ரீபாஷ்யம்! நீரே ஸ்ரீபாஷ்யகாரர்!"

Four hours south of Aswan in Lower Nubia, right by the Nile, is a region dotted with temple complexes built more than 3,000 years ago. Some like the temples of Amada, Derr, and Beit el-Wali go as far back as 1500 BC.

A little further south, not far from the border with Sudan, is another complex dedicated to Ramses II, Hathor, and Nefertari in the village of Ipsambul, better known locally as Abu Sunbul and internationally as Abu Simbel. These go back to the 13th century BC.

Djeser-Djeseru, also known as the mortuary temple of Hatshepsut in Upper Egypt also dates to 1400 BC. Over 500 years older is the nearby Mentuhotep II, also a mortuary temple. Both were dedicated to the cult of Amun Ra, besides their respective pharaohs.

Far older is the Ġgantija complex of Malta. Going as far back as 3600 BC, this one comprises of two temples entirely made of stone and enclosed in a stone wall. From the figures therein, it's understood to be a site of some kind of a fertility cult worship.

Dating from the same period are the limestone megaliths of Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra, both said to have once hosted ritualistic sacrifices as part of the same fertility cult worship as found in the Ġgantija complex. Malta has some of the oldest temple complexes in Europe.

To do a Namaskaar or bow before someone means that you are humble or without pride and ego. This means that we politely bow before you since you are better than me. Pranipaat(प्राणीपात) also means the same that we respect you without any vanity.

Surrendering False pride is Namaskaar. Even in devotion or bhakti we say the same thing. We want to convey to Ishwar that we have nothing to offer but we leave all our pride and offer you ourselves without any pride in our body. You destroy all our evil karma.

We bow before you so that you assimilate us and make us that capable. Destruction of our evils and surrender is Namaskaar. Therefore we pray same thing before and after any big rituals.

होत्रा॑भिर॒ग्निं मनु॑षः॒ समिं॑धते तिति॒र्वांसो॒ अति॒ स्रिधः॑॥

Translation :

नमस्विनः - To bow.

स्वराजम् - Self illuminating.

तम् - His.

घ ईम् - Yours.

इत्था - This way.

उप - Upaasana.

आसते - To do.

स्त्रिधः - For enemies.

अति तितिर्वांसः - To defeat fast.

मनुषः - Yajman.

होत्राभिः - In seven numbers.

अग्निम् - Agnidev.

समिन्धते - Illuminated on all sides.

Explanation : Yajmans bow(do Namaskaar) before self illuminating Agnidev by making the offerings of Havi.

The Church of the East traces its origins to the christological position of the School of Antioch, which held that the human and divine and human essences (ουσία) of Christ were united in a single prosopon (πρόσωπον). ~ahc #jingjiao 2/

This ran against the position of the School of Alexandria, which held that the two essences of Christ were united in a single hypostasis (ὑπόστασις). In general terms, hypostasis is more inherent than prosopon. ~ahc #jingjiao 3/

One implication of the Antiochene rejection of the hypostatic union is that Mary could not accurately be called the Theotokos, or God-bearer. Instead, she is the Christotokos, the Christ-bearer. ~ahc #jingjiao 4/

These Christological debates were further complicated by Syriac terms such as 'kyana' (ܟܝܢܐ), associated with 'ousia' but later translated to 'hypostasis' by Syrian Orthodox; and 'qnoma ' (ܩܢܘܡܐ), sometimes contentiously translated as 'hypostasis' or 'person.' ~ahc #jingjiao 5/

Some of the remaining prominent Hindu temples & Hindu Maths of Barisal, Bangladesh.

1. Mukunda Das Kalibari - The most famous Kali Temple in Barisal. It was built by poet Mukunda Das a big Shakta & a great poet of Bengal.

2. Pasanamayi Kali Temple.

3. Shree Shree Kali & Shitala Mata Temple.

4. Ramkrishna Math Barisal.

5. Shri Shankar Math - This Math was the hub of all revolutionary activities of Anushilan Samiti in Barisal. The Math was a safe refuge for revolutionaries.

'Tera mera rishta kya, hindu, hindu,hindutva' is a clear take on 'tera mera rishta kya,la ilaha illallah'. As much as Hindutva hates the monotheistic religions especially Islam, there's a strange wistfulness and subliminal need at display now, to BE that they hate. 1

Charlie Hebdo doesn’t come up as a cautionary tale now but rather 'why cant we be like that'?
Growing up, Hanuman was an adorable deity for us, who swallowed the sun, or who couldn’t figure out what was Sanjeevani booti so he picked up a whole mountain and came back with it. 2

Or he was loyal, admirable and when he cleaved his chest, you saw both Ram and Sita. Now we have a lot of “Angry Hanuman” stickers. Why is a cute childlike God angry? We don’t know. It's a convenient blank space where to paint all the angst of Hindu Khatre mein hain narrative. 3

The other strange thing that has started happening is pictures of Ram appearing sans Sita. “Jai Siya Ram” has become “Jai Shri Ram”. Some people disingenuously explain it as being the same thing - because Shri is a name of Lakshmi. Not really. Siya is an apbhransh of Sita. 4

Shri is a prefix of respect in this case. Hinduism is being militarised. A woman/Sita has no place in it. Even the militaristic Goddess that is Durga has no place in this conception of neo-Hindu divinity, as evidenced by Dilip Mandal wondering where Durga came from. 5
